He passed that on to his children who also took a non compliant look at ruling the empire!! Even though they did manage to make treaties with their enemies, they were also losing battles, and Ottoman territories and not really making much progress in expanding the empire!! Suleyman would have been whirling in his turbe at the sight of Selim and his successors making the empire Suleyman worked so hard for go right down the drain and into the Borsoporous!!!!
It is too bad Mehmet was assassinated on the orders of Mahiderevil. He would of made a great Sultan, even Bayezid (after a lot of work by him on finding patience, keeping his temper, and more ruling experience) would of been better then Selim. Even. Mustafa (without Mahiderevil around to misguide him) might of truly outdid their father's achievements!!!
