What a lovey chat with a lovey man! Thank you Mark for being so generous and honest. (Those shorts were much shorter than I realised tho 😬 sorry about that 😂)
What a wonderful interview. To hear of the experiences other gay men had in 1990s Sydney, with the HIV epidemic as well as the Bondi murders happening, to learn that the same fears and feelings I had and occasionally still have, are not a solo experience has been my big take away. Mark is right. I will never be ashamed to be an ageing gay man, because so many friends didn't get the opportunity. Thank you both.
This really was a terrific interview. My knowledge of Mr. Trevorrow is limited to (fond) memories of Bob Downe, but Courtney Act is a new face to me - and provided some truly insightful questions and responses throughout the course of the interview. Terrific stuff.
I remember watching Bob back in 1995 in the UK. When he mentioned NRN11 and RTN8 I was crying. I’m from Lismore. His comedy with Lily Savage was class.
My Mum is friends with a lady I think is Marks cousin Ruth, I remember back in the 90's Ruth took my Mum to see Mark perform and for weeks leading up Mum was so excited because she was going to meet him backstage. Mum's pretty old now and she's still as excited about it today as she was 30 years ago.
What a terrific interview. I was so lucky to see Bob Downe at the Edinburgh Festival in the mid 90's along with the late great Paul O'Grady as Lily Savage. The girls I went with and I still talk about how fastastic the show was!! Kym, Edinburgh, Scotland.
I first saw Bob with Lily Savage at Edinburgh Festival back in the 90s. I have NEVER laughed so much, and after that would chase any show he would appear at in London. And then saw Georgie Fame perform Yeh Yeh at Ronnie Scott's and life was complete! Brilliant, insightful interview, thank you x
Bob put me off ever sitting in the front row. I saw him in Brighton and he was hilarious, but picked on me from the word go. I moved seats in the interval and he ran up and down the aisles saying “you can run but you can’t hide”. Never again! I still love him though.
I honestly thought she said "my name is Caught in the Act". I thought, that's brilliant 'cause your interviewing Bob Downe! Then I read the title properly...
I no that face anywhere hehe. Thats Mark Trevorrow. Also knone as his character Bob Downe. What a funny lovable guy. We all need a Bob Downe in our lives 🤣.
Wonderful interview Courtney thank you. To Mark I am 4 years older than you and female and want you to know ,I was around in the aids era and not once did I think that of you. Loved you from the start...not all of us thought terrible things about gay men ...love always
What is he/she wearing - or not wearing haha. - says ‘thought it was impossible for a man to act in this way’????? What it’s a funny wig/polyester and sining great songs with a touch of humour. Hardly ‘out there’!. Others have been dong it for years.

That was wonderful. Thanks Courtney and thanks Mark!
@@lululand1653 agree 💯 %
Don't be sorry about the shorts, Courtney. Great legs!
Just laffing with you Courtney...lol
WOW! Two Australian entertainment legends. Thank you for a wonderful chat.
Trevorrow is a national treasure 🧡
So true, and very much of our Courtney as well 😊💖💖...!
I’ve never laughed so much in all my life when I saw Bob live in London back in the late 90’s. Absolute legend

More power to you mate. An ageing gay man is just one more wonderful person still gracing us with their presence. Cheers.

Two beautiful souls. ❤️. What a treat. I could have listened to these stories for hours.
It’s so strange, I always knew Bob was a character, Mark is just so talented he made me forget there was someone playing him!
Same with Paul O'Grady 😊

Too funny! 😂🤣 I know what you mean, I saw him in Byron Bay but knew not to sit in the front seat.
What a brilliant thirty minutes of television.
I honestly thought she said "my name is Caught in the Act".

Then I read the title properly...

Mark, Bob you're our Kings Cross without the drug scene!
The past tense of lip sync is not "lip sank" lol.
Love me some Bob Downe! California misses you Mark!
fab interview as trans gal totally get it
Good Onya Mark,,,,
I'm not sure if Geraldine Doogue ever showed that much thigh as Courtney.
Yeah. She seems 24/7 offended if every sentence doesn't applaud the Roman Catholic Church &/or Pope.
