    The guy in the teal shirt just flat out sounds confused. He's trying so hard to have a label, but then has no answers to why he identifies with those labels, but is somehow convinced he is that specific label.
    His confusion is to me, the entire view point of many of today's youth, who demand everyone accept their labels, but they themselves are completely confused themselves.

    Why does this generation insist on their schools and teachers replacing their parents for every single life choice or decision?

    • @martijnkoning6564
      @martijnkoning6564 Рік тому +5

      School is an institute that teaches, most parents don't do their job, so it becomes the schools job. If all parents openly taught their children about sex en gender the school wouldn't have to. School also teaches you about religion in an unbiased way, in that same manner school is better suited to give sex ed as it takes personal values out, most of the time.

      @DJ France I think that's why extended family is important.
      Optimally, you have adults in your life who you have had a healthy relationship with (uncles, aunts, family friends, etc.) I don't think a teacher can possibly know you and 25-30 other kids well enough to have THIS kind of conversation about

      @@martijnkoning6564 there's only two semesters and genders though, so it's not the difficult for parents to teach. Schools definitely don't teach religion in an unbiased way either. That is a lie from hell

      @Jeff things are always worse in the States I guess. I grew up where they are unbiased, we learn about all religions throughout 5 years of highschool and have more than 1 year talking about the human body, sex Ed and the topic of human love. The EU hasn't burned down yet due to that education so maybe you guys can take some notes from it

      @DJ France with incentives yes and a program to follow yes, but then again how much is truly the parent themselves teaching? Or is it rather the school saving on manpower by handing the parents the material to teach? I'm not familiar with the experiment itself so I do t have the info on how it worked

    Im bi but i much prefer women. Im more attracted to women, i only want a relationship with a woman but i find many men attractive and sometimes i would like to have sex with a man. So men only for sex but only if i feel like it, which isnt very often, and women for sex and relationships. Overall i tell people im bi but lean more towards women.

    What the Hell does a young kid know at 10 or 11 yrs of age!! Sure u can begin to notice the opposite sex,but deciding to have it written in Stone is somewhat presumptuous or Premature..And if a kid seeks out advice or councilling that's fine,but advice and being manipulated and steered in a particular direction are totally different things

      @@martijnkoning6564 U appear to miss the GENERAL point being made!.
      This young 'Dude' said he became aware(and we will take this at 'Face value') of his Pref at approx age 10/11,but he also said he liked girls!..Now my point was ay age 10 or 11,a young child(with a young mind) can hardly state he's made up his mind on something,when in all truth & seriousness he's hardly been around long enough to acquire the necessary experience to know what he really wants,likes or can have a definitive conclusion on!.
      .And he most def doesn't need any Teacher or Councilor taking it upon themselves to give 'said child' the benefit of their experience,so they can encourage&steer him/her in a particular direction!..That's(and always has been)the Parents legal and rightful role!..

      @Jerry O'Shea teaching that theres more than homsexuality is not pushing them into being gay or whatever? Just how sex Ed doesn't make kids suddenly have sex. Informing is not steering into one direction, its showing them there are multiple roads instead of just 1. They are not getting a gun to their head forcing them to make a choice, although getting a gun to their head at that age is most certainly possible in the US

    • @martijnkoning6564
      @martijnkoning6564 Рік тому +3

      @Jerry O'Shea let me try and explain this in the most simple terms. If you are wearing clothes, and those are comfortable and in school they show you how to wear those clothes, you don't feel like anything is wrong. If you wear those clothes but don't feel comfortable but school only teaches you how to wear those clothes, you are not given the chance to find clothes that fit you. If school shows kids a variety of clothes, the kids will be drawn to whatever style fits them best and are comfortable in. Just like at the beginning, the school didn't put those clothes on the kids, but now they just show that there are more choices and it's up to the kid to put the clothes in that fit them best.

    Loved this video so much.
    I come from a strict Christian household. I am 32 and engaged to a cis man who i love so much. We have 3 young children and I identify as pansexual. I literally do not care what gender you are if we connect we connect. I love all body types and shapes.
    I love how this professor opened up at the end and told us something that would be considered quite personal especially as an educator.
    Applause to you Sir for having this conversation.
    I am just going through your classes and I hope i will see one on new age feminism and what it means to be a feminist. There is a controversy right now and I think it would be a great conversation to be had.

    As an absolutely straight man, I can say as a young child I had moments of "Curiosity" but, I knew it was wrong not only because of what I believe but what is apparent in reality, which is men and women were meant for each other, being complimentary in nature, and of course being able to reproduce. What I've realized is there are some people who just don't have sexual desire for women, and the world we live in pushes sexuality so much you have to pick a side. Love isn't exclusively sexual, but we've reduced it to mere sexual desire than what it represents, which is commitment. Alex said he hung around boys more than girls which is typical, especially for those of younger ages, but as I understand the inherent desire for a relationship with a girl gives young boys a push to interact with girls. However if this doesn't occur, it's noticeable to yourself and others as as being odd, Alex mentioned he had no representation in school because he was taught to be straight from the get go in sex. ed and conversations with his friends, but what I propose isn't against him, it's against the society and specifically how it's invaded our schools and popular culture. In public schools, we've removed the concept of God from Education, a necessary figure to form a moral worldview because without it everything is arbitrary, and without a moral standard schools teach sex to children when that is not the place of schools and aside from that, it's only goal in education is that it is ok if you don't get caught, which is foolish. Sex means so much more than it is taken for nowadays, because, once again it represents the joining of two people into one flesh under holy matrimony, and that's all it was meant for. Even if there are some gay couples that have married and stayed together, the movement represent nothing but more options for hedonism in our world, I don't hate gay, lesbian, trans or any kind of people, but i do believe they're living in a state of confusion unheard of in past times, that everybody has pushed onto them to be sexually minded (especially considering the amount of pornographic material available with very little effort which is all about getting a high off of gradually increasing depravity.) With all of that said the only way for us to save ourselves thankfully has nothing to do with our actions, excluding one: whether or not we decide to accept the gift of free salvation offered by Jesus Christ through his brutal death, burial and resurrection. For all people reading this, I don't care about your sexuality, I want this to be the takeaway: lay all of your burdens at Christ's feet, accept him as your Savior and see how he works in your life. for references to read regarding how you can be saved I suggest John 3:16, Romans 3:10,23 6::23, and 10:9-10,13. these are the specific verses but the books of John and Romans are very good places to start reading. Thank you for your time, have a wonderful day and please read these verses and understand Christ died for your sins, but it is a gift you must accept, don't delay and please accept Jesus as your Savior!
