This is a fake video. Not only the comments are filled with paid bot comments. The rust is fake or intentional lets say. You can see this as the metal is way too perfect after the electro bath and the blobs are intentional. The damaged edge can be fake as well as the weathered handle. But otherwise the knife is in way too good of a condition to be really rust or even old.
Oh man, this knife is absolutely beautiful! Very well done. It amazes me how you take this rusty knife and turn it into such an amazing restoration! Two thumbs way up!
It 'INFURIATES!' me... Someone will put their blades in a vat of vinegar for a few days or in mud for weeks for the rust and splash it with mig-weld like rust was the cause. It's obvious mig-Weld Splash to the untrained eye?
Exactly rust makes pits in the knife not mounds of metal on it,all he had to do was sand that down and it would have been as good as it was a couple of weeks ago.
I agree with the Handel remake for it Tobe useful it has to have a weight balance and a full grip. It's a long thick knife and well a short Handel just doesn't cover it.
Genuine curiosity here, not intended as criticism in any way. I'm cyriius as to why almost every UA-cam restorer sees fit to do (minimum) 12 hours of electrolysis (often sand blasting as well) if they're going to spend many, many more hours grinding, sanding, scraping, wire brushing and polishing every millimeter of the blade anyway. To me it just seems excessive, but then what do I know. Anyway, it was a beautiful knife and you did a good job.
As soon as you ground your own curves and recesses into the blade it stopped being a restoration and became your own interpretation. I would also remark on the MIG welding spots that tends to indicate that the blade has been rusted by choice to make a restoration post which is not a restoration. Why not be honest? Just seems to be unnecessary to fabricate a falsehood.
The origin of the knife is irrelevant,it is still a restoration of a knife to usefulness and the fellow doing it added his own touches. Get over yourselfs. Whether you are right or wrong you still sound quite douchy.
Beautiful!
You doing a great job. You give that Beautiful knife second chance life ❤❤❤

*And he still wears gloves, to fool the idiots who like to be fooled*
Yeah… I have never seen “rust” simply brushed off so easily in my life….
Then don't watch, @leonxpc1! Simple as that!
Очень старый? С накладкой из текстолита? Душит смех...
That's not a knife, this is a knife.🤠
Content like this make me easier to fall asleep at night

They ruined the knife on purpose. That wasn't natural.
This guy is a POS.

4:38 OMG.....did that blade catch herpies?
Nice clean up with that and that thing's a beast!
Bad ass brother. Awesome craftsmanship
Палаческий ножик.
How old was that? Looks like a prop from a pirate movie. Can't imagine what it must be worth.
Hello everyone from Armenia ✌🏼🇦🇲✌🏼
Takhle zkurvit tak úžasnej nůž. Zůstala z něj cca půlka. Sám se věnuju dáváním starých věcí dohromady, ale takovouhle prasárnu bych si nedovolil
Nice work, makes me want to do one I have in the pile
Super jest ten nóż zabytkowy dziwny odrestaurowany👍👍👍
Fake rust 😂😂😂
Very good job
how old was that knife? I thought G10 was a relatively new "technology" in the handle genre, like early 2000s
where do you usually find these old rusty items for your videos?
He does them himself which is embarrassing
He ruined a knife on purpose for a half-assed restoration.
*He doesn't think so, he fabricates and forges the video, he fools the fool*
Were they butchering bears or what with this knife
These guys complaining should get there own channels and show us how it's done!
Absolutely, @johnvetere!
Faca de açougueiro restaurada 🔪😉
You should bloody that piece up it looks like a fine slasher weapon
👍👍
👍👍👍🇮🇩
Another knife deliberately damaged, to create a false scenario. Some of you guys need to stop. You're fooling no one.
Grazie x il video 👏👏👏

Looking for ways to make this more fake. Anyone?

To some it's not about the quality or truthfulness of the content it's about clicks.
See i thought that same thing myself im glad im not the only one
Like the amount of similarly rusted knives this guys finds leads me to believe he just does it himself

By who's standard does it not consider to be a restoration, yours?
Отписка и дизлайк. Фальшивые искусственно состареные современные вещи.
Restauration bidon ! 😂😅 oxydation sur commande ! 🤡🖕
