Love that you said water! Diet is super important too. Alsoo I’ve noticed that using the chase method when I flat iron has helped keep my ends from breaking so much!

Yes! I feel like diet is number 1!! I didn’t even realize that chasing helps with breakage; I need to get back to doing the chasing method!

    Great tips.
I’m actually terrified of stylist. I haven’t met one who is skilled enough to handle natural heat trained hair. They don’t take the time to detangle and will just roughly comb through all your hair

Yes! Sometimes finding the right stylist is so hard 😩

One thing I am starting to notice is that Black Hair doesn't like being touched or bothered. Trims once In a while is fine, but every 2-4 months is good I notice White people hair produce alot more natural oils than ours!

You have been very helpful to me for my daughters. One of my daughters has heat trained hair. I’m starting a heat training journey for my youngest. Your channel has helped us a lot with that!
In the past, one of my daughters had beautiful virgin 4b hair but her schedule with all the extra curricular school activities, part time work, was too busy. Plus she gets migraines.
Heat training was a little rough at first but the process paid off. In less than a year, her hair was heat trained. There’s a lot less breakage, less knotting, and her takes less time to do her hair. Her hair still gets big and Afro-y after a shampoo and condition, her hair is wavy and tightly coiled but it’s is easier to comb, if that makes sense.
She was doing a lot of bunning in the back while heat training. So the back of her hair retained length. She started to see breakage in the front and sides from getting too happy with the flat iron. So she’s more careful now.
She wears wigs now to protect all of her own hair. It’s been great! Her overly processed hair is starting to retain length. We did have to cut off the part of the front that was heat damaged. But the rest of hair is fine. Under the wig, all of her hair is protected and retaining length.
Lace front wigs for Black women have come such a long way! They look so natural now.

Aww this was amazing to read and so glad I have been able to help. I def went through a period of damaging my hair trying to learn how to heat train it properly. She seemed to learn a lot quicker than I did.
Wigs have def come a longggg way and will surely assist her in helping her to retain length. If she wants to see accelerated growth-drinking plenty of water & focus on eating a lot of fruits and veggies. If she does this consistently for a month, she will see amazing results especially since she already has her hair protected with wigs!

If you want to do wigs, avoid wigs that have a lot of those metal pins anywhere. Those metal pins are touch you can experience hair loss, and it is best to look for the glue less wigs ones with the bands to hold them in place!
