  • It's a question we get a lot, and figured what better way to answer it, than go right to the source and have it explained. While many assume it is strictly for versatility when opening up the wedge, there is another reason and in this THP TV spot, Jose Miraflor explains it.

Great explanation of bounce, how it works and what the scallop does. Excellent stuff.

I have the 56 degree and used it or the first time yesterday - Great results and great feel. I wondered what that scallop was doing - good explanation - great wedge.

Have you tested out the Cobra PUR wedges? What are your thoughts?

I have the 54(55) versatile and 60 WL - these are probably the best wedges I've gamed I've chipped in/hit the stick 6 times in my last 3 rounds. The feel and versatility of both clubs is unmatched and they back up real nice on approach shots.

Can you explain Grind? What would be a good Grind for a high handicapper?

I would stick to something fairly neutral as a higher handicapper and remember high bounce can be your friend. The grind, in general terms, is going to be the shaping of the sole.
