Amazing video! I can’t go to Disneyland until next spring because we live in South Carolina, so I just go around UA-cam watching POVs of my favorite rides. Splash mountain is my second favorite ride so for you to get such a perfect video of it just really heartwarming and makes me feel like I’m back at Disneyland. 😊
The Damned Damsel well after watching many Disney rude videos I now know the schematics to every ride so I’ll look like a fortune teller when I ride space mountain and call out every turn and drop in November when I go with family.
I remember the first time I rode this. I was terrified, and we were riding at night (around 11:00) because the line was so short. I was with my friend’s family and my friend and I were so scared, but we were convinced we HAD to go on. Now it’s my favorite ride. Now I just have to conquer Guardians and Incredicoaster!

This ride gives me the most anxiety. Especially knowing you aren't strapped in. So, sometimes I don't get on. I just wait for my friends to get off of it. Lol
most flume rides don't need lapbars i wasn't strapped down on one in florida in 1996 didn't feel like gonna fall out and my sis and i knew rules no trying to stand up there were bars to grab on to though but def not locked in
dont worry if you think this ride was different back then; i've seen a POV recorded in the 90s and it was almost identical to the current look of the ride (except the owl hooted a a slightly higher pitch and the first song didnt play until they got off the second lift hill

I can never go on this ride without anxiety. Last time I went we were about to hit the big drop and the ride stopped for about 5 minutes and It appeared to me that it didn’t really go up without water (idk if it was just my brain messing with me) but it’s always gonna give me fear.
FUN FACT: This is the ONLY attraction I have been walked off before after the big drop our ride broke down! It’s interesting seeing how everything works backstage
also when i watched this POV for the first time and you passed br'er rabbit when he was singing "i'm back at my home now and i'm SURE GONNA STAY!" and you turned your camera off to skip the waiting and then when you turned it back on the music looped to the beginning, i thought the song changed to this key more than once, but later i learned that it only does this at the beginning of the song

i think all the little holes on the walls of the river send a signal to the person at the station telling him/her where the logs are so he/she can stop a log when needed
I went on this in December. I waited to go on this but then it broke down.. a few hours later, the ride opened again. The log I was on was I think the second last one before the ride broke down again.
I’ve only been to the Disneyland in LA and in splash mountain there are only handles on the sides with NO SEATBELT NO NOTHING BUT the HANDLES on the SIDES that have to “save” you from a 500FT DROP.
When I went to Disney for the first time it was closed and it's my moms favorite ride and we thought that it would open before we left but it didn't so now I can kinda understand how good the ride is
there is another difference of walt disney world's splash mountain that is pretty big so it deserves its own comment the logs seat up to 8 people (2 in each row) and this is better than only 3 and making you sit behind someone
I don't think I'd wait any longer than an hour...hour/half tops for any ride. To me it's just not worth it for 10 minutes of fun. I'd certainly would not wait 4 hours...I usually go to parks during Sping (when the park just opens) or Fall to avoid people...
Didn’t the ride get refurbished because of the drop because it was too steep? Well that is what I was hearing and by the way this video looked so professional! The quality was amazing 😂 and it seems like the ride is longer 🧐 I probably don’t notice because of how much I scream cause I am terrified of getting wet but I still enjoy the ride 🤪

I was in the front row the last time I rode this which wasn’t long ago and the left side of my face was SOAKED and so were my clothes... but it was fun :)
I’m still scared of this ride, last time I went on it on the big drop I wasn’t holding on to the metal bars on the side and it felt like I was gonna fly off.... I still have it stuck in my head and I can’t stop thinking about it

They're from Song of the South....a rather *racist* Disney movie from decades ago, and while they have denied its existence by not selling copies of it, one of their most popular rides is still based on it...something I never understood.
Why they kept the theme, originally it was probably for financial issues, and now because it’s an iconic ride and they can’t agree with how to changes it. I imagen that there has been many fights with what to do.

I have always went to Walt Disney World (And Splash Mountain is my Favorite ride ever) So its pretty cool to see how it looks in Disneyland! Once I got stuck on It where the laughing place is but we where not going up Thankfully so a few people where getting ready to drop and it would not go and they could not fix it so we had to walk out and the people that where at the top head to go down the stairs that looked scary but at least we were not at the very top!
3:05 what's weird is the voice of the bullfrog sitting next to the other bullfrogs is still heard, although he isn't there (maybe he's a ghost bullfrog lol)
This is the ONLY RIDE in the ENTIRE park of Magic Kingdom I will NOT ride! Lol I can ride Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain but not this! Lol it’s bc that big 50 foot drop plunge at the end scares me 😂

I rode the mine train during the fireworks. It was insane.
I went during a firework show and nobody was in line! We got to ride over and over again without exiting. It was such a magical experience.

I have some anxiety also but Disneyland rides are the safest. Just relax and know that you are safe there.

i think they leave them the way they are to preserve the past and how Disneyland was when it first opened

i think holding onto the side handles is more secure than holding onto the small thingy in front of the seat (in magic kingdom's version)

They're from Song of the South....a rather *racist* Disney movie from decades ago, and while they have denied its existence by not selling copies of it, one of their most popular rides is still based on it...something I never understood.
Why they kept the theme, originally it was probably for financial issues, and now because it’s an iconic ride and they can’t agree with how to changes it. I imagen that there has been many fights with what to do.

I have always went to Walt Disney World (And Splash Mountain is my Favorite ride ever) So its pretty cool to see how it looks in Disneyland! Once I got stuck on It where the laughing place is but we where not going up Thankfully so a few people where getting ready to drop and it would not go and they could not fix it so we had to walk out and the people that where at the top head to go down the stairs that looked scary but at least we were not at the very top!

This is the ONLY RIDE in the ENTIRE park of Magic Kingdom I will NOT ride! Lol I can ride Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain but not this! Lol it’s bc that big 50 foot drop plunge at the end scares me 😂
