I would constantly get constipated. if I didn't eat the fiber (vegetarians and vegans suggested) to get rid of all of the plant matter and Grains I would eat, I would get so bloated. I'm happy to say that I mainly eat Meat, and Dairy foods. I no longer need fiber to be regular. I am no longer bloated. I no longer feel fatigue if I fast for more than 6 hours. I can actually fast for over 16 hours with no problem. My chronic pain in my joints, skin, and rectum have disappeared, and I've reversed my diabetes. I am also losing 5 lbs a week. My food intake consists of eating four eggs, three slices of bacon, two slices of ham, all cooked in lard or butter, then one cup of whole milk in the morning. For dinner I eat a large steak (or fish fillet, or roasted chicken), with some keto friendly vegetables, and a large pitcher of cold unsweetened tea. I have never felt better, and I will never go back to being a vegetarian. I will never forget the day my sister-in-law (a staunch vegan) stood in front of me with her "multi-grain" bagel made with highly processed and fortified flour, spreading her soybean oil based margarine all over it telling me how unhealthy meat and butter was for me. This from a woman who suffers chronic pain, fibromyalgia, anemia, and generally just a real pill of a person to deal with. All of these "healthy" vegan products in her kitchen that all came from factories and so highly processed as to try an mimic the taste and texture of real food. I tried the whole high fiber thing. I tried every combination. Insoluble and soluble. Different kinds of fruits and veg but i kept feeling miserable and fatigued and bloated and constipated. I just gave up after a few years and drastically reduced my fiber intake. Never felt better. The fact that we need fiber is a myth. I don't think our bodies were made to process a lot of fiber.
@kryzon daan we are a mostly carnivorous species. We do best in heavy animal products and meat. Our gut shrank-we USED TO BE much more reliant on plants, then our digestive system changed to be that much more resembling a predator, even a super carnivore according to paleontology. There’s absolutely no reasoning nor evidence to say humans need fiber at all
Great talk! I keep telling people that once your body gets adjusted to eating for nourishment instead of eating for emotional needs you'll start eating once a day (or less) and food costs plummet. Before I started carnivore I was eating and drinking $35/day and after 40 days it was under $15 - and I eat 1.5lbs of good quality ribeye steak (not completely organic and grass fed but good quality beef) 5 times a week.
I can't afford daily ribeye, but do have it once a week or sometimes twice. My staple now is 20% ground beef, which is cheap and high quality (made from ground chuck). With some eggs and butter thrown in, it works out a about £2.50 a day... I've cut out all the other junk and processed stuff and only drink water (and some coffee/tea)..... that's an exceedingly affordable diet!
Having been on LCHF, moving into keto occasionally, for a little over 2 years now, I recently came to a realisation that since starting, the "number 2" has become consistently easy, neither hard nor soft, apart from occasionally when I let myself dehydrate (long hike, not bothering to drink much). One surprising consequence is "clean output", dramatically reducing use of toilet paper. Right at the beginning I was scared by the floating faeces phenomenon, but I guess it's just normal for LCHF, and I assume is a sign of fat content. As per LCHF, I eat a moderate amount of non-starchy veg with my (moderate amount of ) meat/fish/egg/ with generous butter or olive oil on the veg. Desserts are full fat fromage frais (to which I add heavy cream, which I discovered is a good way of making it more palatable without adding sweetener) and cheese. So not zero fibre, but certainly not high fibre either.
Oh my.. no wonder I had constipation for the past few months. More than ½ of my plates are veges, mainly cruciferous. Reduce them right away for my dinner just now..
Yeah, my problem is I can't have any dairy, and can't afford fresh coconuts and dislike having Coconut milk much otherwise. Thus, no sweet cream :( :( !!
Correlation is NOT causation. There can always be a third factor. Causation can also be the REVERSE of what you assume. For example, people who eat a lot of fiber tend to be careful dieters and probably do NOT eat much candy, soda, or processed food. That is probably the real cause of their improved health. Better health means more energy to exercise rather than the opposite.
Robin Lillian Dod Zoe say correlation equals causation? I don’t think so! In fact she said quite the opposite! No health professional worth their salt would say anything like that.
I find these lectures amazing for general public not just science related people. Thank you so much for posting these vídeos because at the end of the day we all need a bit of knowledge.
I've just watched a video by someone who knows their subject inside out but most probably practised it many times on her family before taking to the lectern, because repetition is the mother of all skill. I recall when I was a soldier having to often sit through lectures that could send you off to sleep rapidly and like some skilled people that performed those lectures Zoe has grasped that a little humour goes a long way in keeping the audience attention hanging on to every word. Perfect presentation in my book, and I learned a lot!
Eating lots of fiber for 10 years made me severely malnurished: advanced osteoporosis, super advanced osteoarthritis and recently SIBO! After healing my SIBO, my stomach became flat and my energy went up like crazy. Unbelievable... I was so mislead... this is good info.
Just loved Zoe's presentation ... informative and humorous ... I have been pondering this fiber issue and wondering if I need to eat as many vegetables ... Grains and me are no longer in a relationship these past 8 months ... and I am experiencing tangible benefits ... We have so many "nutritious LCHF" youtubes to munch on ... and not gain a pound/kilo, but instead a lot of improved health benefits! Thank you!
Soluble fiber nourishes healthy bacteria in the gut, the microbiome. . The gut is called our second brain for many reasons. Healthy fiber from fruits and vegetables.
Highly amusing and informative talk. I'm glad I clicked on the video. Sometimes, UA-cam Recommends still works. Just wait when they find out many more people find this knowledge and act on it; they'll make this stuff advertizer unfriendly and hidden.
I really got conned with the high fibre myth! I spent my late teens and all my twenties eating wholemeal bread, bran flakes, bran biscuits, lots of fruit and veg, wholegrain rice, skin on potatoes etc. Low meat, and lots of vegetarian meals. All for extra fibre. I was also prescribed Fibre Gel on a permanent basis. Yet I was severely constipated, to the point of extreme pain, and even being taken into hospital. Today I eat white rice, more meat, white bread, white pasta (not saying they are good for you. I am not well - planning to go carnivore), less fruit and veg. And I have virtually no trouble going to the loo at all. As you get older, you realise how many things we are taught, are a complete con! Xx 😘❤️😘❤️😘❤️😘
What about the findings about the gut microbiome? Our microbes are vitally important for our own health, and they eat soluble fibre. The more varied our vegetable intake, the more varied our gut microbes, and the more healthy we are.
Exactly. There are gut microbes that only exist in our lower gut by feeding off the fiber you eat. The more gut microbes you have the healthier you are. Not to mention the massive diversity of micro nutrients that are in fruit & vegetables that you can't find in animal products alone. She also ignored the studies proving how eating fruit & vegetables (natural fiber) helps to prevent bowel cancer. I'm all for the a low carb/keto keto diet, but excluding the health benefits of natural fiber is just crazy.
Gut biome shifts as the diet. You’ll decrease fermentation microbes by card removal & decrease gut inflammation. If only you had a cecum & not an appendix. 😂
Went high fiber, over 80 grams a day for about a month. Despite being in a 500 calorie deficit, was gaining weight. Stomach always in knots, and wicked farts.
I find it interesting that Christians would conclude that meat consumption is sinful... when God considered meat the highest value sacrifice... particularly red meat was the most valuable.
Fun fact about what the microbiome needs... Gut bacteria use a small amount of fiber to make short chain fatty acids (butyrate) for fuel. When you're in ketosis you are making plenty of butyrate for both you and your gut bacteria.
Yes fiber is 100% non essential. In the hospital, patients having exacerbation of their UC or crohns or just had a surgery like a bowel resection or new colostomy placed, the diet is ALWAYS low fiber/soft diet. We do not have the big cecums and colons that primates do. They digest fiberous cellulose just fine. But a human? Results in gas, bloating and just more indigestible MASS to pass. Then constipation. On meat based keto, this concern dissipates. If you think you are getting a ton of vitamins and minerals from plants, think again. We cannot break them down. I had to unlearn a lot of vegan dogma but she is spot on. I exed out the fiber aside from one bowl of salad a day and boiled veggies with plenty of olive oil and avocado plus all my fatty animal foods, and wow my stomach has never been flatter and my digestion never quieter. Fiber is overrated and not needed. I’m surprised she didn’t get in the expensive tissue hypothesis. As we evolved, our guys shrank while our brains grew. Research it ;)
I’ve been a type 1 diabetic for 50 years. I spent over a decade eating a low-fat, high-fiber diet. Constant high blood sugar. Mostly I just didn’t bother to check my blood sugar, though: I was eating supposedly healthy foods! Big mistake.
In Germany, we call fiber Ballaststoffe which literally means ballast substances. Despite this very honest name, they are still being recommended to people.
Oh, and by the way, l should mention that the only way we can consume animal products with peace in our hearts is if we are able to master a few traits. Three that immediately spring to mind are: Selective compassion. An ability to disconnect from reality. An unwillingness to confront inconvenient truths. WOW! Pretty undesirable traits to have in a society.
Do you realise how many animals are killed to protect plant crops for human consumption? And by horribly cruel methods? Billions annually. One wheat farm in Australia will poison 11-20 million mice per year. That's one target species on one farm. And the poison can take up to 12 days to kill them. Then there are the birds and rabbits and wild hogs shot from a distance (so rarely a humane kill shot). Where is the humanity in that? Where is the compassion? They are treated as collateral damage and chucked in the bin. In contrast I live on half a cow per year that I raise myself and which is butchered on farm (a well placed bullet through the head and they literally drop dead, no 12 days of suffering) and milk from my own house cows.
We need to question everything and be able to go through any cognitive dissonance when long-held beliefs are challenged. Fiber being good for you isn't so hard to accept as a lie. Vegetables being good for you is a much bigger lie to overcome, but do the research. A Carnivore or Ketovore diet is probably the healthiest for most humans. Another lie: cardio exercise is good for you. Sure, for short bursts. But running/jogging or being on a treadmill regularly for a half hour or more is bad for your body and health, and you won't lose weight. Check into HIIT (high intensity interval training) and strength / resistance training. They're the best. Here's a smile for you: "I practice resistance training. I resist going to the gym. 😁) Thank you for being a comment reader and participating in this community.
^^Sources? My anecdotal evidence shows she's absolutely correct. I was semi-constipated for 15 years eating a so-called "healthy" diet and 30-50g of fibre a day. Went keto, paid no attention whatsoever to fibre and I've never had such soft and easy bowel movements in a couple of decades.
Like your books well presented. Those in power should take heed of your knowledge, you are a star, head and shoulders above the peddlers of false/misguided information!!!
The whole time I was wondering if/when she would cover the microbiota topic. The information she provided was extremely lackluster. I've seen far more in depth analysis of the impact soluble fiber such as inulin has on the gut microbiome, and was REALLY hoping for more information on that aspect. Anyone have any good resources? As an aside, I have been HFLC since November '18, and attempted carnivore for basically all of May. It did not at all go well. Painful stomach/bowel issues, and HORRENDOUS mood (intense anger and bouts of serious apathy and isolation). Having gone HFLC for mainly psychological reasons and finding success (no more meds!) on regular HFLC, I did not want to risk continuing the carnivore mode of eating and potentially having a relapse or resurgence of symptoms. Adding back in about 3-4 servings of leafy greens and/or veggies like asparagus and artichoke a day has pulled me back to normality once again.
Justin S There’s research on bacteria making short chain fatty acids, neurotransmitters, and enzymes, from AMINO ACIDS and our ketones can be moved from our gut lining into the gut to feed bacteria.
Yes, at the "end of the day" each of us are so unique, glad you found what works tor you, knew what to do (even while dealing with those emotions !), I thank God, as I'm sure He helped you be able to ! Dr. Jordan Peterson says he tried doing leafy greens with otherwise carnivore for a bit, but was a little worse and felt better again without them. Pf course, I'm also curious as to if they were cooked or not, and how ( was it in some water or steam, with the oxalic acids then reducing, into the water and it thrown away ?)... .
This talk is excellent. As an FYI. It's not 'eduation' only that is the different for box D. Trauma is a big issue. If you are living with a primed nervous system you wish to placate it with foods that make you feel safe and like there is abundance and you may eat in line with emotions more too. So trauma really needs to be factored into health conversations are a key aspect in why people make the choices they do evn when they have money and knowledge - if you don't believe you're worth making the effort for then you won't make the effort to cook healthy food from scratch.
Well, even without low self esteem, traumma can definitely still be a factor in the ways you mentioned. I can see that in myself, needing to feel safe and happy, feel pleasure that's more un-strived for than counting my blessings and appreciating, being thankful. That's cheerful, even joyful, but not the same as happy, pleasure endorphins or whatever. My not all bad but also chronically traumatic childhood lasted to my late 20s and followed me beyond, so, I know.
I heartily agree with the low carb approach . I was born into a working class family in the 1950's and although we had a lot of home cooking , there was also a lot of bread , potatoes , jam , sweet tea , and margarine in there . Chocolate and cake only once a week and at Christmas and Easter .So my health was pretty compromised early on
I can appreciate that upbringing, though without too much sugar. Throw in 2 smoking parents -- the 70's and early 80's were a bit of a nightmare though. Fast forward to today, I'm 60, very happy to say healthy in the truest sense (and backed up by the blood work results). Yes, our early years may indeed have compromised certain aspects of our health though I remain confidence that our bodies can REVERSE damage as well as prevent further damage.
I wonder, if that change to the 2005-2010 Dietary Guidelines (including a recommended fibre intake) was the result of the popularity of the Atkins diet at the time. The Atkins Diet took off in a big way between 2000-2005, and I remember the mainstream media doing their best to subtly demonise it, which mostly went ignored (at least by people on the diet, it might have persuaded people who were on the fence to give it a miss though). This is the problem the establishment have with their fake guidance, people are gaining weight, but they don't want to. So if a diet can help them lose weight and make them healthy, it threatens the establishment, and puts them on the back foot. They either have to adapt, or run the risk of being exposed as intentionally lying to the public. Because they absolutely cannot afford to lose public trust, they are forced to either make concessions, or find new ways to keep lying to the public. What better way than to shoot down a trending diet (that works) than by declaring that people need a minimum amount of fibre in their diet in order to be healthy (something that isn't included in the diet of course). That way, they basically stated that grains were absolutely necessary for a healthy diet, and because grain isn't part of the Atkins diet..... you get the idea. Of course, this is happening all over again, with the popularity (and effectiveness) of the Keto diet. They have no more cards to play, so now they are desperately trying to link red meat consumption with cancer, promoting the Vegan diet, and manufacturing plant-based meat substitutes as an alternative, all the while hiding behind climate change as their reasoning.
At 17:07 "Is fiber a marker or a maker of a healthy person?" It would be great to insert Gabor Erdosi's presentation on fiber here to let people see that it's not the fiber itself that matters so much as its value as an inverse proxy for processing.
But ... but ... I still worry. When I'm in full ketosis, it feels like I never have to go "No. 2" as Zoe discreetly puts it at all. Maybe every 3 or 4 days. So I eat more fruit (berries) to get things moving, and it knocks me out of ketosis for days. Maybe I just shouldn't care.
Try low carb all natural Goats milk Kefir! Also fermented foods like sauerkraut, that will provide probiotics, to help your gut biome, and keep you regular on Keto

My apologies for the typos in my comment below. it is 1.10 am here but I feel compelled to comment , Harcombe is trying to give the impression that a HCLF diet will have excessive calories and sugar in meeting its fibre needs, while somehow, those eating fats and proteins will avoid that trap. my fibre comes very much from foods similar to those Harcombe suggests for her people: I use flaxseed, asparagus, Chines cabbage, cauliflower, blackberries. Pace Harcombe, I do not use baked beans on toast, wholemeal bread or AllBran because they are not whole foods. And where does Harcombe get her assertion that HCLF eaters are required to get most of their fibre from processed food? The more a food is processed, the less fibre it contains. My favourite breakfast is oat groat porridge with a small banana, blueberries, grilled round flaxseed and cinnamon, full of fibre and excellent cholesterol lowering efficacy. Through the Double Meal Effect, my highly unprocessed breakfast exerts positive effects on the glucose and insulin levels following my lunch and dinner.
I hope you're happy with your diet for the time you're on it however I suspect that your glucose levels will be high, judging by your breakfast. I hope you don't eat that way all the time. I don't think Zoe was talking about everyone eating junk food, just the ones that do. We're well aware of the fact that there are plenty of people who are very careful about what they eat. I do suggest however that you keep an eye on your glucose level. Good luck to you.
@@pepper419 Thank you for your concern. I have a fasting glucose and Hb A1c well in the normal range (5.0 and 5.2 respectively), and my fasting insulin is low (5.1) My HOMA-IR is 1.13, indicating that I do not have insulin resistance. I have eaten High Carb Low Fat for years. My carbohydrates are unrefined and do not spike my glucose.
I ate “plant based” for 1.5 years and got worse and worse bloating and gas over that time. I went mostly animal based for now a month, the bloating got so so much better. I try adding in a few fruits (berries) and veggies here and there, but it kind of doesn’t even seem necessary. Often I get gassy when I try it with the exception of zucchini and plain lettuce and for some reason tomatoes are fine, too. The only other plant stuff I still eat regularly is dark chocolate (95%) and peanut butter.
So, just starting this video, I feel that she has an appeal to the appearance of authority because she looks like a member of Star-fleet. I actually found myself looking for her rank insignia! Great Presentation! Very informative and Entertaining as well! I found when my diet was mostly animal foods and fats, , vegetable leaves and stems, some seeds/nuts, and only occasional starches, I had very easy BM's and No time to read anything while in the bathroom. Most of my fiber came from nuts, leafy vegetables, and stem veggies like celery, bak choi, broccoli, cauliflower, etc. . When I couldn't cook for myself for a while and was fed a more standard American Diet, it was like passing bricks!
I don’t get it. She starts by saying fibre is rubbish and we don’t need it, but when she talks about the 4 food groups later on she points out that a ketogenic type diet includes lots of leafy greens from Group A and is high in fibre. So what is her point?
The point is that most people get fibre incidentally and don't need any increase or dietary attention to fibre at all. The "guidelines" about needing to have at least Xgrams of fibre a day at various ages is made up rubbish. Check out any country's dietary fibre guidelines and there are no references or justifications for how they came up with their confidently stated amounts.
Great presentation and data, but where does she get the carbohydrate content from? I have type one diabetes, and need one unit of novorapid insulin to metabolize seven grams of carbohydrate. But to cover one large (unripe) banana, I only require half a unit!. Using the value given in her table, I would need four units!!!
One thing I didn't understand: do we or not need fiber? She claims that we don't really need it but she still shows how a low carber can get to approx 30 g of fiber per day. Why does she show us that if fiber is not important? And if it's recommended (if not important) are we supposed to get those 30 grams every day from those foods on her list (I get that it's more f an example but still....)?
She is saying we don't need fiber. She put up the chart to point out that government guidelines advise we eat a whole food diet but keep sugars down to 4g per day. It is impossible to get 30g of fiber per day without using the majority of your energy intake to do so. Any person who is insulin resistant would be ill taking this much carb daily.
No need for fiber, she compares the block A and B Diet wheres A is a Plant based Keto-ish no grain no starch and B is a vegan grain starch based diet, A has low carb low sugar thats gives the "recomended" 30g of fiber and B is a high carb high sugar that gives you 30g of fiber.
I think she's pointing out that the fibre argument is being used to get us believing we need carbs. She says that at the end. Green veg is low in starch and sugar but does have fibre. So what she's saying is in two parts 1) you don't need fibre 2) even if you think you do going low carb isn't going to be a problem
This Is intriguing I had been watching some of mic the vegan and looking at his references and I was puzzled by the fact that sooo many of his references were studies endorsed or paid for by the seventh day adventists I couldn't quite understand this until now. Thank you Dr.
I had trouble with hard stool on keto even a trip to the ER. It seems it was a lack of fiber. I added just a little and resolved the issue. So you should mention digestion as a benefit.

Since significantly reducing my fiber intake my gut has never felt better and regular.
It's the opposite with me! I suspect you have to find the best diet for yourself.
I just went carnivore (no fiber/carbs), and not finally getting normal 💩.
Dale, maybe the problem was low electrolytes when on low fiber.
The same can be said to any group of dieters (canivores, vegans, keto, paleo, etc)
Dr. Zoe should go on the road as Health and Nutrition comedian. Could revolutionize the whole genre!
This woman is brilliant!
She'd be cancelled, sadly.
How could I not believe a Star Trek science officer?
Great presentation skills!
Hahaha I was going for Star Trek communication officer.
Doc from the future. Sephraim Cocraine is in the audience.
Great comment 😂
😅😂😅😂😅. Captain Picard concurs.
I always learn so much from Zoe’s videos. I wish there were more available.
Fantastic engaging speaker - love from the UK 🇬🇧 to Zoe!
Beautiful speaking voice. Love the accent. 😊
Local Yokel undergone an education where it was ridiculed.
Freedom from fruits & vegetables has been so appreciated...life becoming easier & more fun by the day....
right words: "life becoming easier" ...without MDs...
Can't tell you how much I enjoyed this! I will look up Dr. Harcombe's books.
on a LCHF diet my focus is on potassium, salt and magnesium. I stopped supplementing with fiber and feel a whole lot better.
I find these lectures amazing for general public not just science related people. Thank you so much for posting these vídeos because at the end of the day we all need a bit of knowledge.
Concise, insightful viewing yet again. Thank you for showing us how the "nutritional guidelines" are actually just so much gaseous emissions.
What an entertaining presentation. thank you
Eating lots of fiber for 10 years made me severely malnurished: advanced osteoporosis, super advanced osteoarthritis and recently SIBO! After healing my SIBO, my stomach became flat and my energy went up like crazy. Unbelievable... I was so mislead... this is good info.
If you only ate too much of one thing for 10 years, I am not surprised that you become malnourished.
Best presentation I have see in a while. Great smile and humour.
Awesome video and incredibly charismatic!
I have post infectious IBS.Fiber makes it worse, yet I'm always hearing the stupid fiber mantra. It never ends.
Thank you!
What an absolutely professional presenter. Love to see more of her.
Im so glad this is out again. This disappeared. I wanted to share this since Denver. Thanks so much for posting.
Soluble fiber nourishes healthy bacteria in the gut, the microbiome. . The gut is called our second brain for many reasons. Healthy fiber from fruits and vegetables.
What tosh
Xx
😘❤️😘❤️😘❤️😘

One of my favourite speakers.
This was brilliant. I especially like her outfit which reminds me of the science officer's uniform on Star Trek.
What about the findings about the gut microbiome? Our microbes are vitally important for our own health, and they eat soluble fibre. The more varied our vegetable intake, the more varied our gut microbes, and the more healthy we are.
ua-cam.com/video/DEx9foeADnc/v-deo.html This guy talks about this at 16:30
She would be better off in comedy. She seems to have looked into that more than health.
Gut biome shifts as the diet. You’ll decrease fermentation microbes by card removal & decrease gut inflammation. If only you had a cecum & not an appendix. 😂
We don’t need fibre! The micro biome adjusts to whatever you are eating.
Went high fiber, over 80 grams a day for about a month. Despite being in a 500 calorie deficit, was gaining weight. Stomach always in knots, and wicked farts.
At least you can collect methane and use it for cooking
Either you overestimated your caloric expenditure, or you underestimated your caloric intake. One can't gain weight in a caloric deficit.
@@veniqer what if his metabolism slowed down as well as his body swelling everywhere? You can easily gain weight eating less calories.
@@purebloodsunite7489 he said 500 kcal deficit. That is, 500 kcal below its basal metabolism requirement.
@@veniqer Calories are bs anyway. You're not a steam engine or nuclear bomb, you don't run on total heat expenditure.
LOVED THIS! Such ability to convey complex topics with simplicity. That's amazing.
Zoe is one of the most intelligent women in the world I believe. Her presentation are just too awesome.
I used to mock homeopathy believers for being duped by bad 'science' but never thought to question my nutritional beliefs.
I feel foolish now.
I’ve been carnivore for 12 years. I feel amazing
It was nice to see a member of Starfleet Medical deliver such a great lecture.
This is one of the top 10 Low Carb Down Under presentations to date.
What a great presentation and funny too
I've been reducing carbs for about 7 months and feel much better generally.
So entertaining and informative, thank you!
Research it ;)
She’s the best! Funny and smart :)
Ah she's brilliant! Love my UK people 💪🏽
Thank you, thank you. That cleared up some of my questions!!! Well done Dr. Z. Harcombe PhD.
I 💙 her Star Trek outfit !
All she needs is the Star Trek badge. I love it!
I love you Zoe.... you just talk SENSE X
Really enjoyed listening to this and learning... thank you
I’ve been a type 1 diabetic for 50 years. I spent over a decade eating a low-fat, high-fiber diet. Constant high blood sugar. Mostly I just didn’t bother to check my blood sugar, though: I was eating supposedly healthy foods! Big mistake.
Brilliantly explained
Surprising, informative, fabulous!
This was so great (info and humor) that I will watch it many times and share, share, share. Engage, Number Two!
In Germany, we call fiber Ballaststoffe which literally means ballast substances. Despite this very honest name, they are still being recommended to people.
You’re an absolute sweetheart 💕💕💕it! Thank you so very much for the insight!
Absolutely brilliant!!! Thanks for posting!
Oh, and by the way, l should mention that the only way we can consume animal products with peace in our hearts is if we are able to master a few traits.
Three that immediately spring to mind are:
Selective compassion.
So apparently the myth of the benefits of fiber was all a bunch of crap.
Hey hey they worked for Dr Kellog to keep the insane asylum ppl from getting boners.
And all that excess crap is clogging up our sewerage lines. Nutrition for the loo!!!
Nope. Zoe is a liar and a scam artist. She has been debunked by professionals.
MKS TSAC-F oh please, troll off with your unscientific bigotry!
Like your books well presented. Those in power should take heed of your knowledge, you are a star, head and shoulders above the peddlers of false/misguided information!!!

Zoe is a great presenter
Love Zoe! Thx for posting!
Great talk. But she missed a joke. When she said “the plucked the numbers out of the air.” Should have been, “They pulled it out of their ....”
Brilliant presentation.
Plant based meat alternatives. Bleech. All hail Bill Gates.
Totally true!
At 17:07 "Is fiber a marker or a maker of a healthy person?" It would be great to insert Gabor Erdosi's presentation on fiber here to let people see that it's not the fiber itself that matters so much as its value as an inverse proxy for processing.
Could you post the name of that video or link please?
@@Michael-cl9mb No
I'm watching this a 3rd time. So funny love this presebtation.
But ...
If you eat healthy whole foods especially meat more if it get absorbed. Fiber and carbs are "waste"
Grow some balls
If you don’t have bloating and are not in pain from constipation, then I wouldn’t worry or care. Dr. Ken Berry has a great video on poop. 😀
Add cream to your coffee, it'll make you move.
Try low carb all natural Goats milk Kefir! Also fermented foods like sauerkraut, that will provide probiotics, to help your gut biome, and keep you regular on Keto
So so informative,,fantastic stuff, thanks a lot,,,
Star Fleet pretty blatantly disregarding the Temporal Prime Directive here.
🤣
First thing I thought of when I saw this too.
I've been eating mostly the carnivore Diet for years now! never felt so good!! I quickly feel the difference when on the odd occasion I carb up!
Although I have known about Zoe since 2020, I'm here again as she has been referenced numerous times by keto and carnivore Drs.
As a West country yokel, we class the Welsh as folk who couldn't swim the Bristol channel 😆😂 and we are the same, just not able to understand out languages......😉
I jest. This lady should be in government she's just fantastic 🎯👏

Wow that was really entertaining and enlightening!
My home town of Nanaimo,BC , has a pastry (Nanaimo Bars)….I remember in nursing school thinking about the Bristol Stool Chart--I’m sorry, how tragic!😂
Passing bricks is a very apt description of my time "trying" to poop out all of that fiber. What a literal pain in the butt!
This was great, thank you
I don’t get it.
Imagine if this lady was your tutor at uni.
Ha! I had the same thought! Awesome Starfleet medical or science officer uniform! Very modern looking! Love it! 🖖🖖🖖
I had trouble with hard stool on keto even a trip to the ER. It seems it was a lack of fiber. I added just a little and resolved the issue. So you should mention digestion as a benefit.
I’ve zeroed out fiber much relief too!
