You got it wrong. Mary did not have Jane executed because of a plot that threatened Philip. Jane was executed because while in prison she was advocating her position and rebellion against Mary. Mary may be the bloody queen but Jane has a hand in her own demise. The image of the poor little puppet is actually not accurate. Although that’s what they wanted her to be she proved in those nine days that she was not going to be pushed around. To start with she refused to have her husband crowned king, he was going to be her consort and nothing else. She was ready to die for her religion as well. While she is a sympathetic figure she is not the pitiful one that is always presented.

What do they have to do with a Ming emperor
I love you channel, Lindsay! Good Job!
okay at first when i read the title, i thought it said "the shortest royals in history". clearly i cant read but i love your videos :)
Thanks for the link 👍🛐
As soon lad I saw this I thought of lady Jane gray. She died for something she did not even want
Really injoyin join this video series good job ma'am!
When he took the red pills, he didn't die. He woke up from the matrix.
Correction: Henry V was Louis XIX’s nephew
That tile just falling off the roof sounds suspect and i side eye tf outta that shit
Can you do Empress Myeongseong of Korea? Her story is quite tragic.
You forgot Edmund I of the Blackadder Dynasty who reigned about 30 seconds before dying from drinking poisoned wine.
Often referred to by his father as "Edgar" 😉
@@NH55323 Edna too.
The greatest monarch England never had.
4:09 - This is the second time recently that I've heard of someone getting sick due to excessive sex. Does this really happen?
7:20 - And they didn't even know yet how dangerous smoking was! I realize he probably did it for religious reasons, not health reasons, but I can't help admiring him a bit for it, even so!
i dont think he died of excessive sex at all. this talk about sex is harmful to health is an ancient belief in east asia. most of us asians are no longer even aware of it, but people in deep rural china still believe it though. I mighty think the emperor was killed by his father's favorite woman.
Not because of excessive sex, but most likely because of drug overdose. Emperor of this time period often use drug to enchance their ability. This is probably why he was first given laxative to induce diarrhea, to get rid of the posion in his body.
I mean there is a rumor Raphael (the renaissance artist) and Pope John XII suffered the fate likely, or it may have been syphilis.
Could you talk about the history of Pedro and Ines de Castro? It's a really beautiful and tragic love story from Portugal...
I recognise Franz/Napoleon II on this list and I’m glad lady Jane Grey is on this
King Dipendra of Nepal was declared king while he was in comma and he died 3 days later. His death and the whole incident is still a mystery.
Kinda missing Berengaria’s duel with the House of Lara. Adds a whole lot to the story, and how impressive she was.
I like how baby Napoleon 2 was posing in the painting... lol
same pose as Napoleon 1
What's funny is I got recommended you from watching Useful Charts.
He didn't die from taking the Red Pill, he just escaped the Matrix :)
Haven't watched it yet, but I am almost 100% sure that this will include Jane Grey.
Can you do kings and queens of Egypt?❤️
Carlos the 1st was packing heat🤣
Lindsay I like UsefulCharts too!
same
great video! but i missed Leonor I of Navarre, who reigned 15 days in 1479
It makes me sad to see that the only times my country (Portugal) appears on a historical list, it's always either due to our crazy queen Maria I or the regicide...
I mean, at least that's all I've ever seen...correct me if I'm wrong, please!!!
You should have added Dipendra instead of Luis Felipe
Useful charts are absolutely great!
