There's no question that Range Rovers offered both elegance and amazing off-road ability, but all of those things are forgotten when you're running late to work, and it won't start.
its a trick, you have to look at the aspect ratio of the tire, you will notice the tires increasingly going lower profile so the increases in size aren't as large as they may initially seem.
@@videowsatcher Worse ride quality, less resistant to potholes and more weight for what reason? Normies dont need 20" wheels on their Civics and elantras.
The SUV that might have helped the mainstream suvs like Explorer, Tahoe, ML320, and GMC Yukon get more luxurious! Definitely raised the benchmark posh SUV stakes!
I've had several Land Cruisers over the years and are by far my favorite but I did buy a used 96 Ranger Rover around 1999. I loved the way it looked and drove, what I didn't like is it seemed there was always some kind of issues. Mostly A/C issues and then I had to change the thermostat, I think just the part was $150. I would still like to have one of the 1st Gen Range Rovers and drop an LS engine it. Great looking 4x4s.
I have a problem with starting the car . I diagnosed it and gave this result : p1121 $0000 1/1. Range Rover 4.6HSE 1998 model. I cleared the code but the security light continue to beam.
I was in 3rd or 4th grade around 1998 and my best friends mom had one of these. I remember I kind of thought it looked old and shitty at the time... I had no clue how luxurous and expensive it was.
@@Nathan-nr5lg and also what's the matter when someone had an opposite opinion? Everyone had their own prespective bruh.. this car maybe looked awful for you, but for others? It's a piece of marvelous engineering if the common problems were ignored.

The 96 Tahoe and suburban got a new 5.7 vortec that made 250hp and 335torque......sad that a luxury brand like Range Rover had a weaker engine then something so common like a suburban or Tahoe

+MrMcKane outdated in a 1990s way. the previous model from the 70s is a classic and looks sharp even today. problem is, with all the short term trends in styling, cars look like shit in no time flat
+MrCarGuy20 Are you absolutely positive about that? You can still find many GM SUV's of this vintage roaming the streets but i can't recall ever seeing a Range Rover older than three years old in running condition. Unfortunately, I'm not joking.
+MrCarGuy20 funny because I still see dozens of early 90's Suburbans and Blazers everyday, but just like Sawashi32 said, the only Land Rover/ Range Rover I ever see are brand new ones. Its almost like they are junk or something and don't last.
Must be were you are in the world. Here in South Africa there are thousands of old Land Rovers still roaming around. My next door neighbour has a 1949 series 1.
my dads got a p38 hse and it is still working, has a brake issue at the moment but that "unreliable" air suspension works perfectly fine and is as good as new

🤣😂
this was my first car from 18-22. i spiritually felt this comment.
Still a good looking car.
18" rims used to be the biggest in the industry but now you can find them on most family sedans
lol I know you can find them on civics for God sakes

The only wheel size you could get in the early 2000's Lexus GX was 17". Now 18s are standard, 19s are optional.
@@damilolaakanni Even the 2002 Cadillac Escalade came with 17 inchers. How the times have changed...
The last Range Rover which was a proper 4x4
Regardless of their mechanical issues they are all about the journey not the destination. One of the best rides ever produced.
Not much of a journey when the destination is continually the repair shop.

Nice Range Rover, they're changed a lot over the years!
But have they!?
Nice and beautiful Range Rover

2020: "BMW/MB: We have 23s for your X7 or GLS.🤦🏽♂️"
And now 24s will be available on the 2024 GM triplets. Goodness!😂
It's an amphibious exploring vehicle. Just don't eat cereal in it while you're driving.

THIS IS NOT A STARTER CAR, IT IS A FINISHER CAR
I love this music!
tenolamacintosh so do I. It gives me a good, comfortable feeling about being in an upscale British or European car.
$95,047.91 adjusted for inflation.
That can now be purchased with under 100,000 miles for around $5,000
Which isn’t bad, the new Range Rover HSE starts at $94k.
3:00 ...these were great vehicles if you're bootlegging snacks from the Mid Atlantic.
And how many Range Rovers have you seen with the air suspensions flat? #1 reason they can be found for dirt cheap now days.
Just scored a '99 White one with coil spring conversion fo $600 Merican pesos! and TWO Disco II's f0 $1G (they dont run, . yet)
Gotta love that Music!!
They did ply that music quite a lot in Motorweek’s test of European cars. It kind of gives you a feeling of classiness, doesn’t it?
Stylish AF. ✨💕

It's always sunny baby
'96 Cutlass Supreme!
I had one of those... Great car
I have seen many of these for three grand or cheaper, always an electrical issue on these things,
Yes. Pre-BMW/pre-Ford/pre-Tata Land Rovers and Range Rovers especially were always electrical nightmares.

Wow just slightly more expensive than the actual 2016 base price for an HSE. Clearly wayyy more content and power now so really its not that bad
