You just can't beat the classics, this show was a FAVORITE childhood series of mine. My step brother and I watched it A LOT in the 80's together as kids. I STILL watch it I just adore it 😊
Man what a great show. That Christmas episode at the end... you just don't see that kind of television programming anymore. Brought back a lot of memories.
Nope, the SJW's would have a fit at the idea of a hit show actually having characters sitting _religious_ Christmas songs. Might trigger someone, or make Buddhists feel unwelcome. Can't be "forcing religion down their throats" now! In fact, better just to avoid Christmas episodes altogether. Remember when they forced everyone to start saying "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas", because that was the INCLUSIVE thing to do? Now apparently even Happy Holidays is "problematic", because some people don't celebrate any holidays, and we might offend them by assuming that they do.
Because people get so easily offended these days, like people fussing over the rebel flag on the general lee calling the dukes of hazzard racist when it was just a classic family show fun and clean to watch. And pft, I still say merry christmas and yes I do get dirty looks but I don't do it to be rude I grew up in the 80's saying merry christmas just comes natural to me I see nothing offensive about it
I thought it was just me….I can’t even watch new TV shows. The shows I watched as a kid in the 80’s were so much better than anything out now. Dukes,A-Team,Mcguyver,Knight Rider, Fall Guy we’re all classics.
@@flyingfortressrc1794 I agree 100%. I remember when the song came on in the beginning I would just zone out watching Dukes. Probably also because I was 6-7 years old and I had a crush on Daisy. I miss shows like this.
Once again, for good ol' action thrills in racin' cross the towns of Hazzard!!!!!!! The Duke boys made a show that holds classic, and memories that bring back the good ol' days.
3:20 - the comedic pace of the scene may make us ignore what a dangerous stunt that was! The stuntman had to fit perfectly in that hole in the ground, he had to jump in at the perfect time and from a very precise location, and the hole had to be deep enough. If only one of these things were even slightly off, the outcome would have been much more serious! Maximum respect to these stunt guys!
10:51 this part killed me! The way Roscoe is reversing to escape the duke boys and general Lee😂 Love the duke boys from Bosnia, grew up watching them, same case with my mother.
I remember this season very well because this was the season that Enos left and had his own show. It’s a shame, he was such a pivotal character to the show too. He was that likable link between the law and the Dukes and his HUGE crush on Daisy was both adorable and made you really root for him. However, there is one positive thing that came out of all of this. For we not so much lost an Enos as gained a Flash. Yes, season three was the first introduction of Roscoe P Coltrane’s attack dog Flash!
At least with Cletus they replaced Enos with a character who was somewhat established and familiar to the fans so it was a a case of.. Oh Cletus got promoted from security /backup deputy to full deputy.. And he had his own character development as a relatively honest Hogg who went along with schemes only cos he needed the money
Actually John Schneider said on a video on his youtube channel that the dirt roads they used were used by other tv shows for filming as well and were driven over so much that sometimes they were as hard as a rock. He says that he could actually get the tires to squeal on dirt.
Haha. Yeah we used to laugh at that as well but I can attest after doing and shooting a number of car stunts on dirt roads that tire screeching actually does happen on hard dirt
I always like how despite it all, Rosco always seemed to make Daisy laugh. That lil comment with Boss up on the bull and one time he crashes going over a bridge and falls out the door trying to get out spring to mine
Luke and Bo were the Batman and Robin of the South. And Crockett's white Ferrari Testerossa on Miami Vice was a really fast car, though it didn't have as near as many of the stunts that the General did.
Je remercie et le producteur et les merveilleux acteurs qui forment cette famille qui m'emeut tellement, sans parler du general Lee qui, de part le bruit de son moteur me fait vibrer. J'adore et merci à tous !
You know full epsodes of dukes is,nt realy full epsodes on utube the time realy worth it plus comercail breaks just about every 5 minutes i want to enjoy the shows
3:10 that dude was dumb for running in front of a moving vehicle that was going in the same direction and even more so for tryna ask a dog to put his foot on the brake😂😂
It's a shame I had to buy the complete set of THE DUKES OF HAZZARD on DVD just so I can let my grandchildren watch a decent TV show.... BRING THE DUKES BACK TO TV.
At 3:23, obviously that was a stunt man but that was a pretty dangerous stunt, you can actually see there was a trench the guy had to fit into for the car to go over him.
Boss Hog (Sorrell Booke) played the best part..... but I did not like him playing the school teacher the mean school teacher on Little House on the Prairie..tho.. he also played a boss on Good Times and a Santa Claus on Full House.
They certainly destroyed a ton of cars but most of them were not expensive cars at the time. The guys that bought Chargers for the show said they paid $500-$1000 per car generally. Chargers and Furys were not valuable cars at all back then. And when they wrecked Mustangs, Camaros, Chevelles etc it's the same sitation: they just weren't very expensive back then. It would be interesting to know how many total vehicles they wrecked but no one knows. There is a discrepancy in Chargers so we don't even know that. Plus, some got re-used and re-sold to the studio by the builder that got busted. And then there was the chassis-shop General Lee which was built as a re-jumpable car that is seen being brutalized many times in various stunts and several jumps before it finally died (last seen in Route 7 11)
Always looked forward to watching The Dukes of Hazzard back in my childhood. It aired on Friday nights at 8pm. Great memories!

Best tv show, The Dukes Of Hazzard. Best movie Smokey and The Bandit.
Nah, dukes of hazzard is still better than Smokey and the bandit

What a way to spend a Friday night when you are 12 years old Daisy Duke and the General Lee
I wish that they would bring back the Dukes .
Joseph Russo with a new cast and pc bs, it’s ruin it. Like they tried bringing back are you being served, and for these reasons it flopped badly.
Get the dvd
They did i think in 2005 but they did ruin it with the cussing and stuff
They need to put this show back on CMT
Now THIS is a family show done right- ROTFL
That last scene was so wholesome
