  • Just bought and used an Ego Ht2410e hedge trimmer on my 250m garden hedge. Fantastic power from this 56 volt Brushless motor. This is a single speed hedge cutter with a 61cm blade and a 26mm cut. It just keeps cutting and does not slow down as i push hard into the hedge. The battery just keeps going and I got over 100m of my 2 meter wide hedge clipped with power to spare. This is the first 56 volt tool I have bought and the power is impressive. Runs like it was powered by an engine running on a 2 stroke petrol mix.

On your say so I just went out and purchased that Hedge Cutter and I am so so glad I did, thank you for sharing this video and to anyone who reads this, it's is like Ronseal, it actually does what it says on the tin. Best Money I have spent in a long time, cost a little bit more than getting my hair done and my hair is in a jock now but I have a 5 year warranty with my Hedge Trimmer. Thanks again

Next video is the bracket you make to attach the trimmer to your riding mower so you can roll alongside the hedge to clip it in one straight shot!

Hi ElderlyIron. Certainly would make life easier. If i didn't leave it so long between cuts that would be good too. 😜 Really appreciate you taking teh time to comment. Cheers Gerry 👍👍👍

    Hi Gerry,
Good to see you back again. Hope all is well with you. That looks like a real nice trimmer. Somehow, the extension cord always seems to get cut on my electric one. Thanks for the video!

Hi Mike I have a corded hedge trimmer in the shed for repair lol. This stuff is really powerful and the batteries seem to last ages. The line trimmer is extremely powerful and does more work than my electric corded strimmer or my 2 stroke machine. No heading off for a can of gas or mixing fuel either. Appreciate the comment Cheers Gerry 👍👍👍

The EGO platform is great! I have used the EGO trimmers that have the extension pole to reach up to the top of our forsythias, no more step ladder!! Nice review Gerry.

That new Zealand broadleaf is quite a soft stem to trim... Would like to see a review on a Blackthorn or Hawthorn...

Hi Sqirrel Sniper. I have lots of blackthorn around so I might do a short video of the hedge trimmer cutting into it. Thanks for commenting Cheers Gerry 👍👍

FFS Gerry, I keep reconciling myself to the fact that you've blown yourself up after 5 months silence, and you pop up again without a word about where the fuck you've been!
    Great to see you again.

Hi Richard. I know what you mean. I have made some videos during my sebatical but just need to edit them. Great to be back and I will do a live stream soon and have the craic. Just need to get the shed a little tidier and organise a broadband connection out there. I Gb fiber in the house so just a little cat 6 wiring for a stable connection. Thanks for the commment Richard made me laugh Cheers Gerry 👍👍👍

Great review Gerry. Awesome tool and with the price of gasoline thats a "no brainer" great decision. Really impressed by the batterys lasting power.

Hi Dean. It might be different if you were contracting but these tools have all the power of a 2 stroke engine but can be charged at home. I am really impressed. Thanks for commenting Dean Cheers Gerry 👍👍👍

Gerrys, not criticism, but there's a diy between less expensive and cheaper. I'm all for less expensive, but I might not care for cheaper. Cheaper oftentimes has to do with quality, not price.

Hi Bryant. I know what you mean. There is a 5 year warranty on these tools so they cant be that bad and the power output is terrific. They do a professional version of the tools but I only have the one garden to maintain so i think I'm sorted. Thanks for commenting Cheers Gerry 👍

Looks good Gerry, does it compare to a 2 stroke ?

    • @GerrysDiy
      @GerrysDiy  2 роки тому

Hi Jacob. I have to say that this brushless 56 volt stuff definitely compares to the 2 stroke version. As much power if not more and no noise or exhaust. No need to travel for gas either. This video was not sponsored so I spent my own money and I am happy with the purchase. Thanks for commenting Cheers Gerry 👍
