Hi Paula, a couple of thoughts... Use more water/pigment to saturate the paper better and that will give you more wet on wet time. I see this a lot with my college students, they don't use enough water on the paper. Next thing to do is to have maybe two puddles of different color mixed and ready to go for when you need to add them to the wet spot on the paper. I do that a lot when working withe fast-drying Canson paper.

My paper would never stay wet long enough to do this. I use good quality paper. but it drys too quickly.
