This was the Avengers Endgame before the MCU existed. Xmen, avengers, fantastic 4, defenders, and marvel knights characters all teaming up against dr doom. This blew my mind as a kid playing this on ps2.
Most ps2 era games CG cutscenes do that, because they where animated by external studios, cg animation of that time are quite good, Final Fantasy VII Advent Children is fdrom 2005.

This scene used to scare me as a little girl. The way he easily kills everyone and poor Colossus is missing his limbs. But I do miss this Marvel so much.
This is my favorite Cyclops moment. Period. Scott sees Peter is trying to get away and that Doom was about to kill him, so he takes a shot to give his friend time to escape. Now that’s the leader of the X-men
It’s also awesome that Colossus, who was initially trying to escape, turned back to try and fight Doom after seeing Cyclops getting hurt. These two are one of a kind.
Also notice when doom is looking at everyone and Magneto and Charles are laying down motionless next to each other by Hulk, Rouge, Gambit, Storm and others I can't make out there were at least 4 other X-Men I can't make out

Gotta say, I like this animation style far more than what they use in most modern games. They didn't go for uncanny realism here, they went for style instead and it really payed off! Looks incredible and I really miss it lol.

Kamala Khan was energetic and good for the story, Kate Bishop was fun and cocky in a way that you could expect... The characters than got it worst were Iron-Man and Black Widow. Nolan North voices Iron-Man in too similar of a fashion as he did with Deadpool in his eponymous video game (which had a cool intro guitar), and Black Widow is both bland and not very attractive. When she says [with a low health event], "I'm not feeling too hot", I think that is Crystal Dynamics acknowledging the fan backlash. /s

The insane thing is, in many alternate universes, Doom makes a utopia. Granted he had to get rid of the heroes to do it, but there are no wars, famine, and he even shares his tech. He’s evil, without a doubt, yet he is not a failure.
I wouldn't even go as far as saying he's evil, morally wrong, misguided, and egomaniacal mist certainly but his goals are reasonable and understandable. To him the ends justisy the means.
He has the power and knowledge to make the version of the world where the least amount of people suffered, and the population at large prospered. He just needs to kill off a few obstacles in his way, and he will literally save the planet. Thats how he views it, and from that perspective you can kinda understand him.
Note: this is supposed to be a bad thing for Doom. It isn't "heck yes, Doom is the best, he can create a perfect utopia if the heroes would just let him." It's "Doom could be a great man if he weren't so hung up on his rivalry with Reed."

Can we all just appreciate how incredible these cutscenes were in this game? They look absolutely gorgeous! I remember being shocked at how good they looked when I first played it. At the time, I had only ever played a handful of games on my dad’s Xbox and although they looked fine, they weren’t nearly as good as this. But when my dad got his Xbox 360 he bought Marvel Ultimate Alliance and we played it together. It blew my mind with how awesome it was! This was the game that really made me into a hardcore Marvel fan. I played it every day throughout elementary school. I was obviously a big fan of Spider-Man because I had seen the movies already, but other than that, I wasn’t really familiar with the rest of the Marvel superheroes. Well this game certainly changed that! I knew every character inside and out by the time I finished this game. I remember getting really excited when I first saw Hawkeye in the Thor movie, because I knew about him from this game. Marvel Ultimate Alliance is a treasure that has given me so much happiness over the years. I can’t wait to play it with my kids some day.

It was the second with my brother and I'm just gonna use played it first bias for the second being best but the first was amazing after I looked it up. Shame the third wasn't like the first two
I remember playing this with my dad on PS3. Seeing Hulk and the X-Men knocked out and lost against Doom broke my heart, seeing Cyclops' beam stopped shocked me cause I knew he could destroy mountains with his power alone. And nearly cried when I thought Doom killed him, was about to cry when I thought I was going to watch Colossus die too until I went straight back to being shocked that Doom corrupted him instead. Good times. This is the MCU for me, don't get me wrong the movies are great, but after Engame I feel like the movies or at least a lot of them are going to go downhill for my taste. Everything to do with Marvel these days has to somehow relate to the movies whether it be story, designs, etc. I love it when they base things off the comics alone and don't change a damn thing.

Doom's Arsenal is vast, and he's fought with beings way more powerful than scarlet in her own game. Franklin Richards, Marquis of Death, and fought Sentry who erased Molecule man.
This is how Victor Von Doom should be like in the movies. Have him just completely wipe the floor with the Avengers, X-Men and The Fantastic Four in the MCU with Ease.

@@lfinch150 The Watcher literally says that Doom turned the remaining heroes into corrupted versions, making them evil. He even made clones of heroes or villains. Either way, he did not kill them, just turn them into his personal dirty working slaves.
@@5star.Ant0 it's kind of difficult actually since in the story mode, we see Corrupted Cyclops, Thor, SM and even the F4. He most likely made clones of most of the playable characters in the game to my guess. Since Cyclops, Hulk and Colossus are the ones I can mainly remember from this cutscene, I believe those ones were turned into actual Corrupted, meanwhile F4, SM and Thor are cloned because we see them in another cutscene where they are safe, not to mention in gameplay as well. Edit: I saw possibly Gambit(saw a couple of cards, first guy to be shown in debris) and possibly Prof. X(saw what appears to be a damaged wheelchair). So maybe all the X-Men, except Wolverine, went to fight against Doom. Though Hulk can be seen clearly in there so not everyone there is a mutant.
This game introduced me to Deadpool, Moon Knight, taught me that Blade is a Marvel property. Seriously one of the greatest games ever let alone Marvel games!
This had the same effect on me as Dark Apokolips War. All your childhood heroes slaughtered with ease, watching that really puts things into perspective. DC may be known for being dark but damn this was dark because there were actual stakes.
Second biggest mistake in MCU. Who would think it's a good idea to bring back the most iconic actor to play a different character in the same universe? And it's Doom's first appearance in the MCU too 🙄
Yeah, minus the multiversal plot, this literally seems to be where we’re headed with The Fantastic 4: First Steps having Galactus play a key role & then immediately going into Avengers: Doomsday & Secret Wars. I absolutely see the FF’s futuristic 60s universe being wiped out by Galactus or an incursion. I could somehow see Doom being behind the destruction of universes sort of how Kang The Conqueror weaponized Alioth before that storyline abruptly ended.

I agree that the graphics still hold up p good, but they certainly don't come close to modern games lol. Take a look at Red Dead Redemption 2, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Cyberpunk 2070 (tho gameplay wise it was unpolished), Watch Dogs 3 (heck even Watch Dogs 1) the list goes on. This game was a great game, but we certainly have far far far better graphics now
Just play it on PC. The PC version actually has it's own superior character models for many characters in the game and better lightning and graphics settings.

The insane thing is, in many alternate universes, Doom makes a utopia. Granted he had to get rid of the heroes to do it, but there are no wars, famine, and he even shares his tech. He’s evil, without a doubt, yet he is not a failure.
I wouldn't even go as far as saying he's evil, morally wrong, misguided, and egomaniacal mist certainly but his goals are reasonable and understandable. To him the ends justisy the means.

Can we all just appreciate how incredible these cutscenes were in this game? They look absolutely gorgeous! I remember being shocked at how good they looked when I first played it. At the time, I had only ever played a handful of games on my dad’s Xbox and although they looked fine, they weren’t nearly as good as this. But when my dad got his Xbox 360 he bought Marvel Ultimate Alliance and we played it together. It blew my mind with how awesome it was! This was the game that really made me into a hardcore Marvel fan. I played it every day throughout elementary school. I was obviously a big fan of Spider-Man because I had seen the movies already, but other than that, I wasn’t really familiar with the rest of the Marvel superheroes. Well this game certainly changed that! I knew every character inside and out by the time I finished this game. I remember getting really excited when I first saw Hawkeye in the Thor movie, because I knew about him from this game. Marvel Ultimate Alliance is a treasure that has given me so much happiness over the years. I can’t wait to play it with my kids some day.

I remember playing this with my dad on PS3. Seeing Hulk and the X-Men knocked out and lost against Doom broke my heart, seeing Cyclops' beam stopped shocked me cause I knew he could destroy mountains with his power alone. And nearly cried when I thought Doom killed him, was about to cry when I thought I was going to watch Colossus die too until I went straight back to being shocked that Doom corrupted him instead. Good times. This is the MCU for me, don't get me wrong the movies are great, but after Engame I feel like the movies or at least a lot of them are going to go downhill for my taste. Everything to do with Marvel these days has to somehow relate to the movies whether it be story, designs, etc. I love it when they base things off the comics alone and don't change a damn thing.
When the first Avengers movie made all that money it changed everything. It goes without saying money talks....

Imo, Dr. Doom is the greatest villain of all time. This game was nothing short of legendary.

@@5star.Ant0 it's kind of difficult actually since in the story mode, we see Corrupted Cyclops, Thor, SM and even the F4. He most likely made clones of most of the playable characters in the game to my guess. Since Cyclops, Hulk and Colossus are the ones I can mainly remember from this cutscene, I believe those ones were turned into actual Corrupted, meanwhile F4, SM and Thor are cloned because we see them in another cutscene where they are safe, not to mention in gameplay as well.
Edit: I saw possibly Gambit(saw a couple of cards, first guy to be shown in debris) and possibly Prof. X(saw what appears to be a damaged wheelchair). So maybe all the X-Men, except Wolverine, went to fight against Doom. Though Hulk can be seen clearly in there so not everyone there is a mutant.
This game introduced me to Deadpool, Moon Knight, taught me that Blade is a Marvel property. Seriously one of the greatest games ever let alone Marvel games!

This had the same effect on me as Dark Apokolips War. All your childhood heroes slaughtered with ease, watching that really puts things into perspective. DC may be known for being dark but damn this was dark because there were actual stakes.

Yeah, minus the multiversal plot, this literally seems to be where we’re headed with The Fantastic 4: First Steps having Galactus play a key role & then immediately going into Avengers: Doomsday & Secret Wars. I absolutely see the FF’s futuristic 60s universe being wiped out by Galactus or an incursion. I could somehow see Doom being behind the destruction of universes sort of how Kang The Conqueror weaponized Alioth before that storyline abruptly ended.

I agree that the graphics still hold up p good, but they certainly don't come close to modern games lol. Take a look at Red Dead Redemption 2, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Cyberpunk 2070 (tho gameplay wise it was unpolished), Watch Dogs 3 (heck even Watch Dogs 1) the list goes on.
This game was a great game, but we certainly have far far far better graphics now
