2 weeks ago I spent 2 hours listening to a Marty genetti interview yes I know he talks a little funny but Jesus Christ his recolition is amazing. People were s******* on him in the comments because he sounds funny but yes you can remember what you did 10 years ago Yup Yup I'm sure f*** off.

Yes absolutely! I have been thinking along those lines for years, but I was never able to put it into words. Al Snow finally did it for me!
he should take his own advice and to say Hogan vs Andre was better than steamboat vs macho man 😂 it's still a dumb opinion till this day
for all the bumps he took and the wear & tear of life on the road over the years, he really seems to have been one of a handful to really keep his physical health and mental acuity in check. looks and sounds like a million bucks.

Al Snow is a credit to the wrestling business.
Never knew this side of Al Snow. What an intelligent man. Glad the business has guys like him.
He really is, and it makes you wonder what current wrestler could talk and engage like this? Not to say that they can't just interested to see what some of these men and women are beyond their gimmick.
Also you hear the promo come out of him when he starts talking about the dogs.
I see why WWE had him as head coach of tough enough. Even as a reality TV show, he kept the business honest.

What I like about al snow is that you can sense how level headed and humble he is, compared to other wrestlers. Even when he got screwed, you don’t sense an entitlement or an axe to grind. He seems like a guy who played the game honestly, and was grateful for any successes that he had. Ironic that his character is unhinged but he’s one of the most down to earth guys in the business

Al Snow is in my opinion one of the most underrated wrestlers of all time.

Snow is my reason for not becoming a wrestler. In my early 20's around the time WCW closed I was broken in by Brody Chase. When I herd snows story it was so close to mine it scared me. He is more of a man than I am because I was not prepared to give that business what it deserves and end up a jobber for the stars. I see how he can be a little bitter about giving so much and getting so little in return. Snow is def someone to admire.

.As someone who's boxed and trained MMA for over 20yrs this isn't the way to teach. It's like if I let in a bunch of untrained students in my school and beat there ass .
His first story is crazy. All that abuse by a bunch of psychos just to put on some speedos and have a fake fight with some oily guys on tv.
@@josephdorino8250 To be honest to be a wrestler in those times, before you you are accepted you have to go through this. They see what you are made of before they train you.They have to see who has the heart for the business because they don't want to waste their time training someone who will quit when shit gets real. In wrestling sometimes you get stiffed and potatoed. All kinds of things happen by accident and on purpose.
The shit they put people thru is akin to Bolshevik torture methods. I swear.
Class act all the way. I met him in Grand Rapids i believe in 1999 for autograph signing. I had the exact same head he carries around from my moms hair styling school. He autographed it, took pictures, and loved seeing i had same exact head he had. He was 1st wrestler that I've ever met personally and its always stuck with me as a great memory.

Sounds like he has no ego or defensiveness, just casually speaks about how he could have done things differently in some instances and not to make excuses.
It's called maturity in business no matter what business it is. To me he comes across as someone who literally has a PhD in the business of pro wrestling.
This is the third time I watch this interview. I’m not a wrestler but I enjoy an insight into the business, especially from a veteran like Al Snow.
Al Snow's words of wisdom showed me that a person needs to show respect, understanding, be humble in life not only in wrestling but in life in general. Thank you Hannibal for this amazing interview.

You ask the right questions, timing is perfect on every level, and you lead through respect for the business which we know you have. Thank you for this. I send this interview to any youngin that has doubts. Earn your spot, don't be selfish, it's ok to leave and come back, understand through experience, and learn from your mistakes. This is some next level stoic philosophy shit. You belong behind the camera. People respect you and you seem easy to talk to. Thanks my dude. Many blessings!

When I was a kid I watched a lot of wrestling with my family. As an adult it's really interesting to hear the stories behind the scenes. Thank you so much for doing this and making it available to us average blokes. The passion you have for the sport really shines through this interview! Kudos to the personalities who put themselves on the line for our entertainment. I never realized the sacrifices these entertainers went through to get into the business. I'm sure things still work this way for those trying to break into the business.

Watching this 7 years later hearing him talk about Cody and how leaving the wwe might be the best thing he will ever do. Couldn’t be more right.
One of the few personalities that stand the test of time.
For a profession with such oddball and eccentric personalities, Al might be the most level headed and normal! It's very cool to hear first hand what the business is like from someone who isn't completely batshit crazy!

Thank you soooo much for this. Al Snow is such a great interviewee. The expression 'dry sense of humour' was invented for him I think.
I love listening to Al Snow talk, great interview. He's super articulate and precise, and it feels super honest. I just always hate the chaotic drama fueled nature of a lot of these interviews and this one feels great.
I was a huge Al Snow mark back in the day. Love to hear that he worked his ass off for it.

I always liked & respect Al Snow .I thought he was always underestimated as a wrestler& performer A.E.W. would do good to have his knowledge & his experience of the wrestling . I have always loved & respected him also.Both these men were tuff as nails. I met Al Snow in Mobile & he is really a nice & humble man. He was working for TNA IMPACT.
If I were to have got into pro wrestling I would have wanted to be trained by Al. I sense he’d put you through hell to get you in shape but not be sadistic about it.

Al Snow made me laugh in WWE he was always a free spirit, made funny jokes and had a funny gimmick, the guy outside of Kayfabe however is a serious dude, no bullshit whatsoever he knows his shit, top trainer and he lives and breathes this. Respect

Going back and watching the old ECW shows Al Snow was a great wrestler.
The stories you hear about guys back in the day "breaking guys into the business" it seems clear most of them were actually sadists.
Either that are you just had to be tougher back then and they were trying to actually help the young guys

The more I hear Al Snow talk about the business, the more I appreciate how keen his mind is for yet also how ruthlessly capitalistic he is about it. Yes, it's a business, but it's also entertainment and therefore art.

I remember al snow's WWF days I always admired his work ethic and output I always thought that Al was a underestimated wrestler. He deserved more exposure and serious title runs.
I wonder what Al would do if he could run his own promotion.
He was in charge of booking for OVW in the past I believe.
It'd be nice to see him roll out something entirely his own though, from scratch. He seems very intelligent about the business.

Al Snow, if he put 100% into it and trusted the office a bit more, I feel could have been a very big superstar, it’s obvious he has a ton of knowledge and is superb at telling a story
you never truly know if someone's telling the truth, but I'm so glad that he was more of a story teller vs someone who is truly "shooting" on someone. not judging people.
I definitely agree. Though I don't know if his story about the Anderson brothers breaking him in was true. It seems pretty impossible for anyone to get through

It blows my mind the stories out there of young professional wrestlers in which fumble the start of how to handle the biz behind the curtins... it's guys like these they NEED to take experience smarts from (things that ring the bell for which helps them) it's so fk'n vital, gaining smarts where ever needed is huge while starting thier paths in the biz...
