Have you ever read Viktor Frankl’s book ‘Man’s Search for Meaning’? He talks about how fleeting happiness is and that it can only be experienced as a byproduct of finding meaning. I have experienced this in my own life. If I am looking forward to being with friends because they will make me happy, I usually end up disappointed somehow, because I was focused on myself. However, if I look forward to being with friends because I can be a good friend to them and show them how much I care about them, I end up being much happier and more satisfied, because I did something meaningful. What say you, parasocial friend? Second, have you heard of the ttrpg Deadlands, which uses the Savage Worlds system? It is a more pared down system than DnD, which is great for a big dumb dumb like me to be able to GM. Anyway, it is set in the “weird wild west,” an alternative 1800s timeline with all sorts of creatures that go bump in the night. It has the potential to have some pretty spooky campaigns. I did a one off for my buddy’s bachelor party set around wendigos. I used AI to help me generate some journal entries of a couple that got lost in the woods and succumbed to the temptation to consume one of their party members, subsequently becoming wendigos. The AI kept reporting the content, because, ya know, cannibalism. How do you feel about using AI for just for fun creative outlets such as this?
