It's just great. I saw the aluminum praying ladies in Centre Pompidou in Málaga a few years ago and it was really stunning to see these bodies from the back side and when you're turning over the front you realize there's no one inside... Amazing job.

wow. this is so inspiring. as a person, an artist, an activist. Someone who is courageous, taking his moral responsibility and making something very beautiful out of it. Not always easy, not always pretty but beautiful in its truth. And truth is always healing. ❤️

A very special artist, glad to have found him again. Saw his work at the Saatchi a few years ago and was bowled over x

Everybody feels sorry for poor people and do nothing but criticize them and their government, for the contrary, this amazing artist transport his audience to a chaotic and gruel reality, which he also turned in something beautiful for people to enjoy.I see this masterpiece “Kasbah”, as a friendly protest from the oppressed, but at the same time, it shows that there is beauty even in the poorest places

I think that the life of conceptual art came to an end and it is troublesome. Mr. Attia’s work is interesting to a point, but it you look carefully, you see that his work, after awhile, becomes empty, interesting for a short time, but irrelevant in a long term. He is more of a philosopher than an artist and that is the problem with so much of the art we see these days. I miss the mystery of more traditional artworks and media, but I don’t want to paint for instance...so the question is: how to find a balance.

I think it's fantastic. The best, most powerful work I have seen in some time.

It's depressing as hell to hear everyone - artists, curators, art academics - spewing the same shop-worn political talking points (colonization! Sure, bring it on!). Especially depressing when a talented artist falls for the scam. A true herd of independent minds....

Sorry? What exactly? I don't understand your comment. Do you live in a world where colonization didn't happen? Where the effects of colonization are nonexistent?

"He allows the viewer to look at two things and create a relationship between them" wow, barely a minute into the video and already such poignant art criticism.. Won't be watching the rest of it, as there's not enough time in the world to hear crackpot third party reviews of otherwise interesting art. Is it not convincing enough to listen to the artist express his own ideas?

hate that these ppl got PAID to whitesplain work abt colonization instead of... paying the artist
