KC:D is unforgettable for me. I played it during the pandemic and while I had the sickness. My father called me while I was playing it to tell me goodbye as he contemplated taking his life. We found him almost dead from an overdose in pills. I couldn’t pick the game up after that for a while, but I went back to platinum the game early last year to prove to myself that I had healed somewhat from the trauma. Phenomenal game and I can’t wait to play and platinum the second game.
KCD deserved much more recognition than it received. I'm hoping this go round it gets broad mainstream success. Like RDR2, it was one of those games where even beyond the writing and the main story, I just enjoyed spending time in the world they constructed. You can tell how much of a labor of love this was for Warhorse.
True I’m glad it’s got millions of sales on its own, I think it was a few million at the start (huge success already) and now is going on 7mil? Even with sales that’s loads of money.
26:20 That's great. In Skyrim, when you steal f.e. a horse in the middle of the night and none sees you, ride to another town, the guards there will accuse you for steeling that horse, despite there was none on the road that night who could have seen what you did. That totally ""ended" my immersion.
KCD is a remarkable rpg, really enjoyed the whole experience, had some stuffs that could be done better? for sure, but you can fell they did put their hearts into the project
The relationship that develops between Hans and Henry reminds me of what also did happen between nobles and their closest servants in medieval and renaissance periods. They don't talk about this, but this games a great job of showing the Great Chain of Being, the relationship and duty people have to those above and below them in the chain.
When I first played KCD1 I didn’t really like it, I just felt like I was so bad at it I couldn’t do anything. Then I watched a review by Mac at WAB and he basically explained why I was so bad, and it just clicked, and I understood why. I haven’t preordered a game since Skyrim, but this one has me 🍻
Yesterday we got first impressions of KCD2 everywhere and it looks fantastic! There are some cons but overally it seems like a banger. Way to go, Warhorse!
That was a great interview thanks Cog! The first game was something special and I remember that once they announced the sequel last year that KCD2 is gonna be Warhorse's "Witcher 3" and its haping up to be that based of all the previews I've seen. Looking forward to fully diving in once it releases early next month.
Fantastic interview, no surprise there so Ty guys for bringing this to us!! Never a single doubt in my mind that KCD2 is gonna be amazing - these guys understand the RP in RPG better than 99.999999% of people out there and they put their love and ingenuity into every square inch to make something that doesn’t settle on the laurels of what everyone else in the space is doing
just got the gold edition pre ordered. haven't pre ordered a game in years i am praying this game has good optimization. I saw on steam recommended was a 40 series card as devs never play there games on medium speced pcs so i am truly praying this game is optimized . so very excited to try the series out heard nothing but good things about the love that goes into the games
Im very excited for this sequel, i remember back in 2022 when i picked it up it had the combat mechanics that i always dreamt to some extent games like skyrim would have, to show that melee combat is hard and is less about swinging a sword like a madman and more about reading your opponent to outmaneuver them. I have alot of trust in Warhorse and i hope the sequel brings us alot of entertainment and unforgettable moments, and brings warhorse success to make games for many more years, hopefully some other awesome IP! Good luck!
I found out about the game a week ago so i haven't played the first one but i've been watching a recap video about it and so far i think i have watched like 30 review videos about KCD2 getting more and more hyped about it and im gonna pre-order it next week. It's amazing what Warhammer has accomplished and this has made me realize what a good game should be. Keep it up Warhammer!
KCD is definitely one of the most advanced RPG experiences to date. The formula is awesome, I'm glad they're keepin everything and just expand and improve upon. Definitely my GOTY. No doubt about it.
I look forward to this joint.. I got into it very late. The things that seemed to turn me off in the beginning seem to be improved and polished. Most importantly I just love seeing ILP getting out there and getting these opportunities. I really love these guys and want them to succeed. It’s important for the industry and the culture. Much respect!
This interview with Sir Tobi is awesome, and so informative. I like y'all reactions throughout the interview Sir Tobi. This game is going legendary! I can't say that enough.
Changing equipment to meet an enemy of different variety sounds good on paper but in reality it doesnt work well, its just tedious and is not how they would do it back in the days, they didnt just carry more armour around and swapped it in the bushes before fighting a certain enemy, i like realism but its more tedious than realism , just an observation, no hate on the game😮
Just pre-ordered this for the ps5, cannot wait. The first game was a masterpiece, even with it's flaws the game was a much needed breath of fresh air in a time of supposed AAA games pandering and shoving politics down our throats.
Sorry, but no matter what, a "sharp" weapon will do NOTHING towards plate or mail armor. Even slashing with a sword with a straight blade won't really do much against a well padded gambeson.
@@O.LEO.N that's why blunt weapons in KCD and KCD II are much more effective against plate armor but make no mistake, if you get hit on the head with helmet and do padding, you still feel it.
We never forgot where we came from. Now that's a transparency that we gamers want from devs. Awesome interview guys I hope you have a blast. Already pre-order and waiting 💪🫡

Powerful story, brother. Much love to you and your family
@@JacobyMc I hope you're doing better, your dad doing alright nowadays?
Sweet! Glad you guys did this.

Feb 4 can't come soon enough. Too bad I can only wait 24 hours at a time XD
Warhorse is my favorite developer and has been since I first found KCD in 2020.
I’ve never been more excited than I am for KCD 2
KCD felt like last gens Elder Scrolls hit

Sometimes that did happen in KCD1 too, I'm sooo glad they fixed and really honed down on that believability part and made it more grounded.
KCD is a remarkable rpg, really enjoyed the whole experience, had some stuffs that could be done better? for sure, but you can fell they did put their hearts into the project
Longsword and mace combo ❤ i can finally do the priper damage type during combat
Hell yea, loving what I'm hearing!
Imponujący film - wywiad i wszystkie informacje, dzięki!
Thank you!

This is BIG. One of the 2 most hyped games next month

This game will be a masterpiece, i thought the first game was close to being.
I absolutely loved the 1st game you could easily get lost in the world father Godwin was great
Most engaged Dev I've seen in awhile.

The player has to think…rules out 80% of players. 😅
Cant wait for KCD2!!!!!
Really good professional interviewers, always bonus for knowing and playing the first game. Underrated channel, subbed 💪
Thank you!
Brilliant interview. Got into the first game around 6 months ago and felt like the perfect time. Almost guaranteed GOTY contender right here!
Thank you!
Tik tok, high dopamine needed cod players who hate movies and storys will hate this game😂. Hopefully this game hits

"We delete your game from Steam and you have to buy it again."
Please don't give AAA studios anymore ideas!
This interview with Sir Tobi is awesome, and so informative. I like y'all reactions throughout the interview Sir Tobi. This game is going legendary! I can't say that enough.
Sir Tobi transparency should be a standard for the games industry
Looking forward to this one. All the other adventure story line type games have way to many guide rails that get old quickly.

JESUS CHRIST BE PRAISED!
Great job guys, I do wish the other guy beside Cog actually asked questions more though.
Definitely one of the only games I will play in 2025.. authenticity ✅ no social politics ✅ historical accuracy ✅
Of all the names to choose for the main character...they picked Hank 😂
So is it because of this dude that Musa of Mali was added to the game despite not being historically plausible?
KCD Is ❤
👍🏻👍🏻
I really feel Henry is more then what he is casted though. His father was a lord so by default wouldnt he be to a point?
2025 goty incoming.
I'm not sure I like the idea that you can just swap weapons on the fly, just like that.
Sorry, but no matter what, a "sharp" weapon will do NOTHING towards plate or mail armor. Even slashing with a sword with a straight blade won't really do much against a well padded gambeson.

@otakarschon Absolutely!
Armour has gaps in it
@@slynt_ It does, but even the gaps are covered by mail and padding. Making it even less likely to penetrate.
You're an underrated interviewer!
