- This video will shop how to change out any part on your coffee roaster.
For basic cleaning just use the brush after taking out the chaf drawer.
Deep cleaning you may want to clean the drum and exhaust port.
Love this vid! Thanks! Just got one myself and roasted a few batches.
This has the upgraded temp control board. You can tell because it has that circle with coiled wire component.
Very helpful video, was thinking about doing the motor mod (switching to a more quite servo motor ) and was curious how this machine is build. Thanks and greeting from Germany!
I know the manufacturer recommends 350 to 400 grams per batch. However, you mentioned that you've been roasting a quarter pound (113 grams) at a time. Has that worked well for you? Do you find that you run it at a lower temp for the smaller batch versus a larger batch. I personally prefer a small batch size, like a quarter pound, so I'm curious how it's been working for that.
Hello,
I have roasted smaller batches in the beginning to experiment with the possibilities of the Skywalker. You cannot use the automatic or the half-automatic programs and should try it out yourself. Start with 100 grams en a temp of 180 degrees C. Then put your power on 60 % until you hear first crack. Try to keep your Rate of Rise (in the display the upper right number) in the beginning on 10-12 and when you reach 150 C, go down to 5 or 6 until first crack. Do this by lowering the power. Set it for instant to 40% . Drop your beans about 2 minutes after first crack. Because I roast outside I do not use the external fan. So no adjustments to the fan power.

Martin
