I am so glad they made this change, I tried the old way on shotcut and hated it, so I changed my videoing to doing the audio in video instead of after. Now I can start doing audio separate again.(for reference my old editing software had a audio record that was just press record and do your thing) very happy now.
I have version 22.06.23 and I had to save my audio track as an audio file separately but haven't recorded yet. I'll let you know ow when I'm done editing the video. Anyway thanks for sharing and showing how it's done ! I really appreciate it! 😊
Hey! That's helpful, thanks! Is there a way to automatically put all the recordings in one track? I'm constantly forgetting to switch to the correct audio track before pressing the record button and it is creating a new track every time.
Can you record without creating a new audio file each time? In the middle of what is said bad additional recording, all recorded together, just like pr
I added this to my watch list for tomorrow but out of curiosity do you talk about the sometimes crackling that comes through the audio with the voice over ? It doesn't happen all the time. And yes I tried unplugging and replugging my blue yeti
It could be a number of things: high mic volume, poor quality mic, software issues, etc...If you have another mic to test and you're getting the same issues, it might be software issue.
@@GeekoutdoorsBrand I'm going to test something next time I record. There is a possibility it's a FPS problem. I realized my OBS is recording 60FPS and the OPUS for microphone in Shotcut is recording in 30FPS. I'll let you know if that fixes the problem in case other people come up with the same question. :)
@@GeekoutdoorsBrand I can't be 100% sure until Monday when I'm filming in the morning with less noise in the house (have the washer going on), but I did not hear any crackles when I did a 30 second test so I'm feeling certain that changing OBS to record at 30fps while the shotcut audio .opus file is also at 30fps has done the trick! I knew it had to be in my settings somewhere, but didn't know where to look. :)

Hmmm not that I'm aware of but that would be great for it to automatically add a voice over track 🤔

Peak meter works during play but not during record. Looks like it doesn't work in this video either. I'm using MAC Shotcut 24.01.31.
Oh thx for info 👍
