About Trailmakers:
In the toughest motoring expedition in the universe, you and your friends will build your own vehicles to cross a dangerous wasteland. Explore, crash horribly, use your wits to build a better rig, and get as far as you can with whatever spare parts you find on your way.
Welcome to the Ultimate Expedition!
Journey over grueling mountains, hazardous swamps, and bone-dry deserts on a distant world far from civilization - it is just you, your fellow adventurers and the amazing, jet-powered hover-buggy you built yourself. Explore, crash your vehicle, build a better one, and get as far as you can with whatever spare parts you find along your way.
Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

What if you guys do a 2v2 where each team builds a base that has a core to defend against RC rockets from the enemy team, with each team having one player responsible for building the RC rocket and the other for the AA turret defense.
That sounds cool
that's a genius idea
@@doginahoodieI know right
Scrapman should do this. just needs to find time
@@Toxic_274he has time
That tracking torpedo was spectacular! It could have been really effective if he had made it faster and been able to fire more than one at a time.
That and another problem is that it turns way too much, making it very unstable which also causes it to flip.
Yeah tracking is cool in trailmaker altough its sad that censors are only up to 50 m i habe made a peototype sam missile and o hit a helicarrier with it but after it stopped continuing the developing as it was really hard to launch as it had to be close enough to be able to track
the torpedo's could track each other
@@The-Hunter-Of-Souls Now I'm imagining them playng ring around the rosey trying to hit eachother.
@@EmberTheFlareon3579 haha XD but then one more torpedo gets luanched and they start playing that game where you go like "they all fall down"
You guys should revisit the torpedoes but using bigger less agile boats at probably longer ranges that more closely track with how torpedoes would probably be used.
yep both using same boat speedcaped to im gonna say 4 propelers. torps can have 6 (thoes suckers are litteral speed) or more and for you to have surface drop racks. the same way it was launched irl
They are using the wrong kind of torpedo for boat attack. Underwater torpedos are for hunting submarines. Boat deck launch torpedos speed along the top of the water and hunt other boats.
Torpedo time!!!
I loved when he said 'it's torpedoing time' and torpedoed all over the place
We have to make this the top comment
@@littlebeanman it is the top comment
@@Scoutof87 for now
@@littlebeanman good point
you should have made the Torpedo launch above water from the craft itself and let it drop into the water, like it is how usually does on WW2 ships, and you should have made it longer for better weight balancing (irl it’s long just for the fuel for the propulsion), other than that it’s pretty good
How is it beneficial to launch it above the water?
@@beargrizzly6897 less drag and i guess it's easier to reload in real life.
@@beargrizzly6897 easier to load and easier to launch the Torpedo, and the Torpedo doesn’t need to resurface to say like 1m above water, it instead would just launch off and sink to the desired depth, and resurfacing can also cause the Torpedo to jump out of the water, like how you can see in the video
That boat also needed 360° movement. With only movement for aiming you need to move in every direction.
@@beargrizzly6897 If it's below the water, the mechanism to launch a torpedo is be much more complex (think submarine torpedo tubes) as compared to a rail or tube system on the deck that just launches them off without needing to open/close any doors and flood/drain the tunnels with water :P
I suspect the reason why your torpedo's depth control did not work is because steering help was on for the fin hinges. That "help" slowed down the fin to where it could not react fast enough to depth changes. Additionally, "canard" layout (where control surfaces are at the front) is inherently unstable. That is actually the reason why that layout is not very common on airplanes.
How about a circuit race that requires pit stop refuelling.
Yzuei managed to design a fuel depletion and refill mechanism for mid air refuelling recently that was pretty boss and to see you guys battle it out with that caveat would be pretty cool 🤟
I enjoyed the danger dolphin you created at the beginning. There has to be a fun way to use those
bumpy minefield
Loving these almost daily trailmakers videos!
My head goes right round baby right round when the water goes right round right round
@@normaunderwood1088 My head goes right round baby right round when the water goes right round right round
In hindsight; maybe a good idea to put a timer on the torpedoes as a fail-safe, like 20 seconds or so so they blow up after a miss to save lag.
Would love to see you two revisit this idea with big slow vehicles at longer ranges.
A sub battle with torpedoes could be fun.
“Yeah that is gonna be really fun scrap man” THAT IS EITHER SLEEP DEPRIVED JOY OR A *_CRY FOR HELP_*
That was fun. You guys should arrange a 2v2 or 4 torpedo battle
These videos are dope! I know I’ve said this before, but Scrapman’s design skills have been off the charts these days! The builds look crisp!!! Keep it up!
This was a really cool concept! what about doing a sub v boat 2v2 where the sub has a torpedo (can repair) and the boat has bombs and rockets to defend itself. I don't know if/how bombs function underwater, but it would be cool if they did. Also, so that the boat would be able to hit the submarine at all, the sub would have a set speed and low part limit (not including the torpedo), and the boat would be allowed to be more large and fast.
You could try playing a game of tag in the airborne map with 3+ people. You build your own vehicles and then play tag. The tagger gets an amount of rocket launchers (you can decide how many) and if the tagger can hit the others with a rocket launcher or crash into them they get tagged and become the tagger. This is just a basic idea and would be fun with more features, but I can't think of any right now
idea: 4 player 2 teams fight with boats and submarine, submarine have 1 rocket with no lock and a 5 second cooldown to act as torpedos and the boat has 4 rockets with 25% of its lock on ability to act as depth charges, 2 player builds the boat and the other 2 player build the submarine,
thes submarine have a max speed of 40kmh and the boat have a max speed of 80 kmh, the ship has a block limit of 400 and the submarine have a block limit of 200, the submarine have a peroscope that has to be out of the water to be allowed to shoot its torpedoes
the boat have hud deactivated and is not allowed to put their camera under the water
the last team standing wins
thats it

I gotta say scrap, you have been my most watched UA-camr all year. Keep up the good work! Thank you for the quality entertainment 🙏
I like this way of showcasing the build process at 3:19 and missed seeing it for a while
Great video! I loved the torpedo designs. For a future video, how about a challenge where you build vehicles to navigate a complex obstacle course? Keep up the good work!
You guys should do a bonus round combining the best aspects of your creations, for example with this video combine his torpedoes with your boat.
I love how the torpedoes Bob up and down in the water like dolphins.
Nature is healing 🥹
would be cool to see a design with torpedoes as small as possible but have like 10
You got me into trailmakers and helped me understand it, thanks
4:17 wow. 8:48 yes lets go. wow its beautiful then everything 😍 10:57. the game is fine there is no glitches 11:54.that was very good then i was expecting 12:06, stop your going to make me more satisfied that im going to cry 12:23.why are you noticed that now 12:26?boom 13:18
You and the other trailmakers players (the ones that you record with) should do a 3v3 or 4v4 where one player on each team gets a form of travel (aquatic, airborne, and land) or a race with 6 or 7 people. It would be good content!
Could you take that concept to the air and have a SAM ship fighting a plane armed with torpedoes?
3:53 it's a dolphin!
4:20 I've been waiting for this episode for a while, torpedo's are not easy. 😄 You have to remember that most peoples boats are pretty fast so you need fast torpedo's also. The best I could do was some long boys that could go 100mph.
Agreed.
Also, in English, apostrostophe S ( 's ) is only used for possession and conjunction of "-is / -has"
For plurals, you should not use an apostophe.
This time (4:16) that's where the phrase "return to sender" comes into play
A mine placer vehicle 2v2! No hover, No jump, No Gun/EMP, 20 PowerCore! But 1 engine(not included to the PowerCore count) Max 8 wheel! 10 Mine/Vehicle! Map your choice :)
They should do a partner challenge where one of them builds a plane and one of them builds a misleading that they can sit in and they try to hit targets
Now do the same thing but with missiles.
Scrap Man: Torpedo did not move in a straight line!!!
Grinch: That's what these tests are for!!!!
I wish you did a bonus round where both players use Scrapman's Boat with Yzuei's torpedoes.
Challenge: Who can shoot down the most Enemy (NPC) planes before being taken out themselves. No planes allowed and the other player is also hunting you down. Best to do around the end game battle, for more NPC flak and planes.
Would've loved to see a round where you loaded 4 of yzuei's tracking torpedoes to your boat.
Also is anyone else getting Vanduul Blade vibes?
Cool Trailmakers vid idea: make a passenger transport plane big enough to pick up every chirpo on the map.
That was a great challenge! super fun to watch
An idea: put a torpedo on the back so you could run away from it after you send it
This torpedo battle thing might be a fun idea to revisit on the Race map in the Canal area. Make the boats a bit slower, but make the torpedoes faster and basically treat it like a Mario Kart race where you're always in each other's crosshairs and can only repair at certain checkpoints (such as the bridges)
Next video idea:
Submarines with torpedos!! It's like the boat with torpedo, but just underwater!
Trailmakers should implement some math blocks, so we can do some more sophisticated controls. Would be good for challenges like these torps.
U are one of my favorite UA-camrs keep up the good work . Hope you hit 1M sups!!
1M SUPS gang
I love your designes, you really go A LOT better after meeting yuzei
The multiplayer challenges in trailmakers have been awesome!
Torpedoes again, but one sub, and one surface boat. Only 1 reload per minute, so you both need more torpedoes, and to be more strategic about firing them.
4:07 The torpedo chose to Terminate its creator.
You guy's should do a thing where you make prototype creations from irl. then test them against each other in a series of different events.
You know it’s a great of day when scrapman uploads
You guys should do a 1v3. Supersonic Jet (no more than 2 weapon mounts, but any weapon combo is fine, has to be able to break the sound barrier, and maintain a supersonic speed on approach) vs. an Armored Truck convoy (2 defender vehicles, each built for anti air, and 1 heavy, slow, armored truck with no weapons). The goal is to complete as many laps in the new map as possible, furthest one wins. The attacker can repair as many times as possible, the armored truck can only repair if damaged by terrain (or if passing a set checkpoint), and the defender convoy vehicles cannot repair, but can rejoin the convoy from the nearest respawn point.
Each of the four has to make a supersonic jet, a rear defender, a forward defender (must be different from the rear defender made), and and armored vehicle with no weapons. This way everyone can have their own chance at each, and see which combination works the best.
Hope you see this, Scrapman!
6:47 That’s the most LEGO explosion I’ve ever seen
you couldve built a boat capable of firing all 4 torpedo's at once in a cone shape in front of you from left to right so that his escape was harder every shot
POV: you already saw Yzuei's video and you know who will win
4:05 If you want to adjust an underwater propeller’s speed you can connect a logic gate to it and lower the output, then just control the logic gate and and the propeller should be slower
This will be a 4-man coop: ScrapMan's torpedo boat and Yzuei's F-35B Lightning II versus the devs in a large, heavily armored dreadnought.
ScrapMan and Yzuei get a certain amount of lives--how many is up to them--, and the dreadnought will only have one, but as a trade off, it's more armored and armed. Anti-air for Yzuei, anti-ship for ScrapMan.
Hi ScrapMan. I always enjoy your videos, but I think you need to try make a season for other sandbox build game, like Main Assembly, StormWroks, etc., these was updated and had some notorious n fun changes and systems added. Keep it up
I love how every time ScrapMan repairs the blocks do a dance
I think a good strat would be to head straight at them and release a torpedo behind you. Then suddenly turn out of the way with torpedos in tow.
Hear me out. RC missiles aimed with the camera block + blimps battling it out
6:47 Cool
Watching this really makes me want to play Trail Makers again.
You should do another video and have both of you try to make the best Seeking Torpedo. That would be a very interesting game
I'm such a big fan watching for over 3 years
The ikea challenge, everyone participating gets identical parts and has to build the same piece of furniture. But you get no instructions.
I needed this video!
The torpedoes design is awesome
Do a team torpedo challenge just like the fighter jet vs cargo plane challenge but in the high seas map.
Torpedos are so awesome in trail makers
You guys should do air torpedos.
That torpedo is crazy at least he knows that is it effective
4:17 the way he just stood there just realising what was about to happen 😂
It would have been fun if at the end you put the other player’s torpedoes on your boat and vice versa (assuming they fit) to see what the best combo was.
The dolphin-ing thing is because of hysteresis or a lack of it. It's an interesting concept in controls systems.
While trailmakers is a great game, for these types of challenges stormworks would work better with this while also being more detailed and having more opportunities available. Great video either way!
4:19 the way the torpedo came back
You should make a challenge where one is driving a boat like the helicopter vs boat challenge but you use a plane with torpedos
you have released enough content to play your videos nonstop and never repeat for an entire month
19:24 Scrapman gets points for blowing himself up
“If the enemy is in range, so are you!” -Murphy’s Law of Combat
These vids keep getting better
This makes me think of a detach race: 3 laps, large > medium > small. Within the large is the medium and small and within the medium is the small. This is not a Transformer race but a detached race. The outer shell is detached each lap. You could even do three versions of this race: land, sea, and air. With each lap the the vehicles get smaller and smaller while the larger vehicles must contain the smaller vehicles.
I don't know if this is too complicated?
The tracking torpedo was a good idea but you could have used your own torpedoes as "flares" to trick the tracking one into going into your torpedo. That's exactly how flares work they make a heat signature similar to the engine to make the missile go into the flare instead of the plane.
I wish Trailmakers had a survival mode with base building like Scrap Mechanic
You should do a hydrofoil evolution type thing and a hydrofoil and/or catamaran battle. That would be really cool to see. Also having topedos with larger lest agile boats (maybe even submarines) would be fun to see
Seeing the torpedo come back made me laugh so hard.
You should do this WWII style with a wolf pack of submarines vs one big destroyer with depth charges. You'd need to set a speed limit, though. The slower the better.
Idea: Torpedoes VS Point Defense, one torpedo ship trying to disable one gunship
amazing video! can you guys do like tanks that can turn into a plane using 2 rocket launchers and 1 minigun video
Maybe you could build a Bomber/Fighter Plane that can drop torpedoes or maybe even a Submarine that can launch torpedoes and fire missiles as anti air
i love these vids watching your videos makes my day
a 2v2 where one team is in a giant battleship, and the other team with torpedo boats, like the airplane with the turret thing
please do a video where you try to land a plane on a all terrain air craft carrier, keep on the good work.
Video Idea: Two players defending their small destroyer with AA guns and two other people trying to bomb/dteafe them. All player built, with restrictions of course. Then switch roles for second round. Whichever team survives longer wins.
The cut off of him shooting him self with the torpedo got me dying 😂😂😂
Video Idea: Would love to see you both build something bigger. Maybe tiny destroyers with deck guns and a couple torpedoes. 👍 Get a third person if possible
Idk if yall remember the beginning of the first Iron Man movie, where Tony presented this big rocket that split up into a ton of small rockets basically carpet bombing a huge area. I think it would be interesting to build that as a challenge
0:22 shots fired
I have an idea that I wanted to do in trailmakers myself, but my pc is being repaired, so until I get it from repair, maybe do something with it. so my idea was to try to build an aircraft carrier with self control kamikaze planes with automatic detection/AI lockon. Maybe you can use it in a 1v1 or 2 v2 competitive episode
