Yup, I can easily see myself living on that ship for a couple of years. My chef would take the sweet little cabin by the galley. Amazing how you kept the pace going so we could see every detail Nick.
What a yacht ! ! ! This is what dreams are made of... An older, well kept yacht can prove itself as a cost effective investment. With a skipper who loves to tinker, a chef that enjoys keeping things tidy and an engine room aficionado that fancies a clean exterior that crew of three could keep this boat "ship shape" for years to come. Thanks to all involved and thanks Nick, for the tour!
Just checked the Nordhavn website and she is already sold. The interior set her apart from the other offerings and at such a good price she went quick. Thank you for a lovely tour Nick, excellent as always.
I’ve been following Nordhavn and the brokerage market years now Pirate Radio was on the market for close to 2 years before it finally sold, Yes it did sell “recently”
@@geoffreytofte4049 correct this yacht started off at 5.95 million dollars and went for just over 4 million in the end. Shows just how over priced large yachts are, perhaps the brokers think if you can afford a boat this size we can get away with charging you 50% over what it's worth ?
I love Nordhavn interiors. Haven’t seen one yet that I wasn’t super impressed with. You can count on beautiful finishing, decor and gorgeous cabinetry. One look and you know you are in a yacht. No mistaking these interiors for a condo or house. This one, once again, doesn’t disappoint. It is very unusual, because it feels like a split level. I’ve never seen another one like it. The owner’s cabin on the second level is another idea that I haven’t run across before. Morning coffee in the Caribbean, out on your private balcony would be pure bliss.
I keep coming back to this video. What a fantastic ship and layout. The owners cabin being at that placement is fantastic and really fits the purpose of the ship. Idk why Nordhavns really scratch that itch.
Classic Nordhavn indeed. Whatever size they are, they seeem to be in a class of their own. No matter the size, they are always something special. This one is really excellent.
All of the positive aspects of a high-quality, world is your oyster, long-distance Yacht. The price is nicely depreciated when compared with a new Nordhaven and yet you don't see any obvious signs of age on this beauty. Another Aquaholic Review, well done; brother from another mother....
Been a while since I really loved another small ship. Perfect size and layout with 5 cabins and plenty of space for tenders. Well maintained with good interiors and good crew space. The owners cabin with complete privacy and terrace is a plus. I'd definitely put a hot-tub back on the fly. Thank you so much Nick~! :)
I'm a little late to this one, but I think this may well be my favourite big yacht/little ship you've ever had on the channel, Nick! She's huge, but homely - it somehow feels like loft living. Beautiful interior, beautiful exterior. Gorgeous all round.
Had to " cast " this one to the main TV in the house as i saw aquaholic and nordhavn in the same sentence. So the entire house was obligated to watch! She's a beauty ( and you're fairly fair yourself m8 ) Thanks so for sharing this and looking forward to the future with our UA-cam friend!
Unreal, best of the best! Saw Aquaholic and Nordhavn in the title and I sprained by clicking finger I clicked so fast. This did not disappoint!! Classier than any super yacht and yet still every bit classic brawny Nordhavn full of practical features, quality and livability. Absolutely timeless and class. I'm in love and currently only $4.500,000 to go before I bring her home!
This is definitely a dream boat , I can't imagine how amazing it would be to cruise on such an impressive and comfortable vessel, very good and detailed walk through, thanks for showing is this gem
That is the perfect family boat that the whole family will enjoy for many years to come. Nordhavn designers checked off Every thing on my list and I'm sure on your lists as well. Thank you Nick for finding this gem to share with us. I absolutely love this boat. May I suggest one thing, can you please put up a specks page up on the screen to show us all the main things such as loa, width, engines and HP, holding tanks for fuel and water, top and cruising speed, max NM at top speed and distance and for cruising speed with NM. I love to see that on another channel, you know what one I'm talking about. Love your videos the best because you don't waste our time opening every cabinet and going over every thing in the bridge, we know what is on the boats from you showing the console to us. Spring break is coming and it's about time for another family holiday for you and your family so start hinting to the boss and find out where she wants to go next. We look forward to seeing you and your family on a video like you did in the past. I'll never get to see most places you travel to so I deeply appreciate you sharing your life with me. Watched the entrie video for the "Classic Norhaven"...did not disappoint. Of all the boats I see on this channel all of which I could never afford, there's just something about the Nordhavens that are so compelling.
If money was no object I think Nick would go for a Nordhavn, maybe not quite this big but he always speaks about them with such fondness and admiration.
Brilliant - what a great boat. The space for an 86 footer…and the quality and touches…you can tell a hell of a lot of thought went into its design. Thanks for bringing it to us.
Such a beautiful boat. It most certainly is not a "cookie cutter" layout, and I love that. Not being a fan of hot tubs on board, I like this small seating area. Such a lovely, intimate, spot to tuck yourself in. Thanks, Nick, for once again getting us on the best boats.
Thanks Nick. I still think that Pirate Radio is finished as close to my taste as any Nordhavn’s I have seen. It would definitely require the least amount of modifications to fit my specs. A jacuzzi bathtub and steam shower are required in the owners stateroom. Thanks again, great tour as per.
I would happily live aboard. I'd convert the smallest cabin ( near the galley ) into my full-time office and simply work from wherever I wanted to be. What a lovely mini-ship, as most Nordahavns are. Great review.
Wow! Very impressive. I can really cook in that kitchen. Craftsman wood work, marble and a beautiful bridge ("Little Ship" is right). Room for my motor cycles on the boat deck. Your jokes are always gentle enough for all ages. I really like this ship, I'm going to buy a lottery ticket now!
That's a great little yacht, and I keep revisiting this video. I love that it has a little office as there is always admin for the skipper or owner to do to keep a vessel like this running. The laundry/utility room is a great idea. I also liked that the main cabin had proper couches and not nautical benches with cushions. The only omission that I could see was that there didn't appear to be a bridge heads. That could easily be fixed by making the massive owners cabin bathroom a little smaller. The foredeck looked like it had a little more space available for a few more toys as well. I could easily live on that boat.
You can keep your flashy ‘super yachts’ 😅 (* whose videos I enjoy greatly as mere visual titillation, Nick) but this is the real deal for an early retirement-live aboard-travel anywhere small ship! What an absolute beauty she is. ❤
now that is a super sexy boat. OMG 5 cabins and two overflow WOW. I absolutely love that layout and boat. What a diamond in the rough but not rough at all lol. Marvelous boat and good tour as always my friend.
What a beautiful boat. I can see myself cruising the warm spots during the winter months then moving to the west coast for the summer months. Well, I can always dream.
On an engine configuration such as this, first objective is to get uneven hours on the engines so both don't need overhaul at the same time. I would run on one engine for ~2500 hours more than the other (assuming 25K hours for major overhaul). Once that differential is achieved, run 'em even hours. That way one engine will need overhaul ~a year before the other. In memory of Chief Engineer Thomas Wash - - - best engineer I ever sailed with.
My new favorite. Not surprised considering it’s a Nordhaven but still. With the right 3 crew one could have some amazing journeys on board this masterpiece!
As ever, a first class tour and presentation - thank you very much. It's great to see how the other half live - I could just about afford the dinghy!!! Keep 'em coming it's a treat to watch.
Nick again I came across this video and again excellent walk through. This Yacht was amazing, I really liked what this yacht has inside interior, galley engines, tenders and crew quarters. Yes impressive
WOW ! Love that upper Deck suite , FINALLY ! So many choices for an "owner's suite" could be on the main deck if you get tired or LOST ! LOL ! LOVE these explorers that you can "go where you're looking" and not worry ! Thank you Nick !
The tour guide didn't mention it, but it looks like (@ 10:09 min) the TV descends from the ceiling Whenever you have kitchen knives on a magnet (@3:43min) it's always safer the blades down and the edges facing toward the backsplash!
Don't know why, but I had a thought during the engine room tour... I actually missed the drills we used to run on the US Navy Destroyer I was on years ago. Love your videos Sir, Thank You.
Nick your tours as always impress me, full detail taking the time. Being land locked Canadian I dream of owning a ship, come on lottery. This ship and tour is top shelf. I can see myself and of course my guests enjoying every inch of this beauty. Thank you
It's no Gulf Craft Majesty 175 but Mr Burnham sir IT'S A NORDHAVN nuff said!! all joking aside Nick this 86 is gorgeous, absolutely love this one,the interior layout fittings and furnishings is fantastic,I really could see myself living full time on this 86ft stunner, thanks Nick all the best from Cornwall 🤗✌️👍
If I ever won the lottery and have dreams of a sunseeker 100. This would be a different machine but boy does it look nice. Another great video thanks for posting Nick
Wow, one of my favorite boats is the Princess 85, this boat seems more like a 120ft superyacht in comparison. Wow, personally would have 2 jetskis on the front and a chase boat in tow. Everything else is just right, no need for loads of seating areas, you realy don't need 4-5 dinning tables and don't need such a huge living room where even a 65" TV is too small. This is great, especially with its range and I'm guessing a seal hull (might of missed you saying that). Great bit of kit.
Quite the no nonsense boat! Beautiful! Love the Portuguese bridge. Surprised it doesn't have negative windows. Curious name! I would think it would be more nautical with the caliber of this boat! Guess when I buy one I could name it to my fancy LOL!
Absolutely fabulous ships and this one is no exception. Bering still fractionally does it for me over Nordhavn, but pretty much only because their interiors are more to my taste, though I'm not knocking Nordhavn interior design in the slightest. As far as I can tell, they have similar levels of redundancy although many Berings have the black water treatment systems which, I think, are a must these days - not sure about Nordhavn? However, one couldn't ask for a safer and sturdier construction from either boat builder. Terrific stuff, though I reckon Arksen will soon give them both give a run for their money. Hope so anyway as all healthy competition and Arksen seem to be coming in at a different angle. Great tour Nick and thanks for that. See you next time and all the best
one of the sisters of this ship, the sol and sons stayed at the marina i have my boat at, always wanted to go inside thanks for making the dream come true nick
I read the Nordhavn 86 has a displacement of about 180 tons. A displacement boat could use somewhere in the range of 4-7 hp per ton for optimum performance. The bottom line is that you have enough power for any sea condition. Obviously the gear reduction also is of importance. In this case power would range from 720hp to 1260hp. With 2 times 600 hp it is spot on. My 86 ft icebreaker of 100 tons of displacement has 400 hp but it has a reduction of the engine of 1:5; my single propeller is 1.3 m 4 blades. The maximum speed of a displacement vessel is squar root of the length (m) waterline x 4,5 in km/h. Thus in both cases it is around 22 km/h. They won’t go faster. My boat does 20 km tops.
Looking at some boats, it is clear that everything is set up to impress people. Not so with this boat, it is set up to provide comfort for those fortunate enough to travel in her. She is a magnificent ship.
Always impressed with Nordhavn but this one is spectacular. Probably the best boat you have shown. I know I've said that about previous vids of yours but this one left me drooling.
another tour by the master, thanks Nick. Nordhavn as usual, a top shelf boat. really like the layout of this one. guess i need to buy an extra lotto ticket this week. lol
Sir Nick, I'm late commenting here. Yes, of course, we all love a Nordharvn...I was wondering if you could do a video explaining the work benches, vises, tool boxes, and what they mean and are used for, on the larger yachts. Thank you, Sir Nick.
I absolutely LOVE the private terrace area for the master cabin! Let the guests and kids climb all over the rest of the yacht but allow me and my spouse have a quite area to ourselves.
This is a 15 yr old ship/yacht and it looks new. It has been beautifully maintained. I have counted 5 different levels because it looked to me like the first 2 cabins were not as far down as the lowest level. I find these ship/yachts somehow seem to have more space and more interior space than seems possible.
Appreciate your content. Could you please encode chapter markings so your viewers can access different portions of your boat review easily? Many thanks.
Yup, I can easily see myself living on that ship for a couple of years. My chef would take the sweet little cabin by the galley. Amazing how you kept the pace going so we could see every detail Nick.
I can see myself waking up in that master suite, and stepping onto the aft balcony for my morning coffee & pastry. Lovely.
That was precisely my wife's comment as well. 😲 🙂
Great yacht!
Thanks, Nick.
I'd be asking you "why are you aboard MY boat ?".😃

Out of all the superyacht's I have seen on here ..I don't recall one that gives you this much boat for the money. And it's a Nordhavn to boot.
I'm glad you enjoyed it 🙂
was hoping you were going to do an N86 at some point, my favourite dream explorer yacht😃👍
Hope you enjoyed it 🙂
@@AQUAHOLIC very much thanks, as per usual.
one of the sisters of this ship, the sol and sons stayed at the marina i have my boat at, always wanted to go inside thanks for making the dream come true nick
Glad to have helped 🙂
I love the owners cabin up top aft of bridge with its own deck, cracking design and lay out . All I need is to win a lottery 😅
Very nice layout and meticulously maintained, shows like a new yacht.
Now this is a beautiful boat. I'd probably change the name and some of the art, but it's incredible.
SENSATIONAL LITTLE SHIP NICK. WOW !! FABULOUS LAYOUT AND SPEC. A SERIOUS SAILOR`S DREAM BOAT !!
I'm glad that you enjoyed it 🙂
I read the Nordhavn 86 has a displacement of about 180 tons.
Boat sounds nice any pictures
Awesome master cabin! Love the private balcony area! 👍👍
Literally the nicest Nordhavn I've ever seen, and it's an old one - always very Scandic with the wood, nice... doesn't touch a Sanlorenzo, but nice.
Looking at some boats, it is clear that everything is set up to impress people. Not so with this boat, it is set up to provide comfort for those fortunate enough to travel in her. She is a magnificent ship.
Beautiful boat! Nordhavn is my favorite. Nick, you do a great job of presenting these boats.
Many thanks!
Always impressed with Nordhavn but this one is spectacular. Probably the best boat you have shown. I know I've said that about previous vids of yours but this one left me drooling.
I'm glad that you enjoyed it 🙂
another tour by the master, thanks Nick. Nordhavn as usual, a top shelf boat. really like the layout of this one. guess i need to buy an extra lotto ticket this week. lol
I'm glad that you enjoyed it 🙂
The only "super yacht" tours I find myself watching are these Nordhavens 😍
Nordhavn are by far my favorite yachts 🛥️ on the water!
If I had a vessel like that, I would never be in a hurry for my journey to end!
Looks a better interior than plenty of newer Nordhavns and 15 years old! 👍
Not that I'd ever be able to afford this Boat but Wow, set up nice, style and clean. I'd say in my Top 5
Nordhavn, worth every penny. Feels bigger than it really is.
Appreciate your content.
Could you please encode chapter markings so your viewers can access different portions of your boat review easily?
Many thanks.
I think that's the nicest Nordhavn you've ever shown on your channel. Incredible boat, lovely tour as usual.
I'm glad that you enjoyed it 🙂
