This video is the result of public demand and requests from our dear viewers! Hope you enjoy watching this and master your skills of cutting potatoes ;)
    - Potatoes
    - Pealer
    - A Sharp Knife
    - Cutting Board
    - Tissue Paper
    - Water
    - Crinkle Knife
    Method
    - First thing first, peal the potatoes.
    - Always have firm grip of potatoes and the pealer.
    - Once pealed, immerse the potatoes in water.
    Batons / French Fries
    - Have firm grip and hold the potatoes horizontally.
    - Slice the base and place the potato over it.
    - Cut them at least a centimeter thick slice.
    - Place the slices one over the other and cut them slowly having a firm grip over them.
    - Cut the bases in the same way.
    Wedges
    - Hold the potato side ways and run a knife at the center.
    - Cut it again right at the center twice so as to get 8 wedges out of a potato.
    Slices
    - Rest the potato horizontally on the cutting board.
    - As per the demand of the recipe, slice the potato having a firm grip over it.
    Small Dices
    - Rest the potato on the board and cut it in to batons.
    - Run a knife vertically over the batons so as to get small dices of the potato.
    Medium Dices
    - Cut the potato in to thick strips.
    - Run a knife over them so as to get medium dices.
    Large Dices
    - Slices away all the edges and cut the potato thickly so as to get large dices.
    Crinkle Cut
    - Hold the Crinkle knife at 90 degree at the top of the potato and push it downwards.
    - Lay these slices and push the knife downwards.

I really appreciate this video. At almost 30 years old I should know how to cut a potato to the size I need but alas I do not. I didn't have many opportunities to watch family members cook. But this Sunday I am attempting to put a feast together for Father's day. I appreciate you showing how to cut different sizes of potatoes. And putting them in water! Would have never thought to do. I appreciate the quality of the video, the angles and even the soothing yet not sleep inducing music. All of you did a fantastic job. Thank you.

Simple easy to understand video..and the only special tool needed is a knife made for cutting crinkle shapes and you can get those for under 10 US dollars. Also a good tip on the water, not a lot of people who cut small batches of potatoes know that little fact and wonder why when they do larger batches for the first time why the potatoes start to change colors while sitting out.

Thank you for your pleasant video and instructions. Just by the way of information though, potatoes do not turn brown & gray due to the iron oxidizing; they change color due to the oxidation of the enzyme polyphenol oxidase. This can be reduced by soaking them in water, as you demonstrate. This color change can also be REVERSED by putting the potatoes in water with a bit of ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) or lemon juice.

No problems with cutting tomatoes. You just need a *very* sharp knife. Do not apply pressure while cutting, just let the knife do all the work. I use a thin long knife for that. For potatoes, onions and most other vegetables as well.
