I love this guy -- he's so helpful! I still try to use all the tips in the video about onions every time I'm preparing them for my family and now this guide to potatoes is just perfect! Thank-you so much!
Omg, I really like how you teach and explain things without unnecessarily lengthening the purpose of the video.

I positively adore this channel! Pleasant tone and atmosphere with a knowledgeable and courteous host who stresses a participant's safety above accuracy and speed. I love that -- it clearly shows you care about the novice masses. :)
Thank you for sharing these tidbits of hard-won skill with so many of us, good sir. I will be certain to put these budding skills of my own to use -- as soon as I can properly sharpen my knives! ^_^

Simple skills create a great skillset. I enjoyed everything about this video. Music was a nice choice. All the technical stuff was well-done, but too long to comment on.

Thanks for the very helpful video, I now know more ways to cook potatoes for my husband 😁
This is so captivating and satisfying to watch. Good techniques 👍🏻
very informative. .thanks for sharing
I really appreciate this video. At almost 30 years old I should know how to cut a potato to the size I need but alas I do not. I didn't have many opportunities to watch family members cook. But this Sunday I am attempting to put a feast together for Father's day. I appreciate you showing how to cut different sizes of potatoes. And putting them in water! Would have never thought to do. I appreciate the quality of the video, the angles and even the soothing yet not sleep inducing music. All of you did a fantastic job. Thank you.
Chef Varun, I really appreciate all the little details that you explain in the videos. They are extremely helpful to an amateur/home cook like me. Thank you so much
pateto seems too funny lol, this video is superb haha.
I have a paper on Anatomy tomorrow, and I'm watching a potato cutting tutorial at 5am.
Werth.
Great tips and tricks! Thanks for sharing your video.
Simple easy to understand video..and the only special tool needed is a knife made for cutting crinkle shapes and you can get those for under 10 US dollars. Also a good tip on the water, not a lot of people who cut small batches of potatoes know that little fact and wonder why when they do larger batches for the first time why the potatoes start to change colors while sitting out.
this guy is awesome.
Loved the whole concept of basic cooking. Do more videos on this. It has helped me a lot. Thanks and love your channel. ❤️
This video just popped up in my recommendations. Unexpectedly, I found this video very soothing to watch. Great work chef👍

Wooow beautiful
I actually love your videos because I get to know a lot about food and what they contain instead of just how to cut a vegetable or make a dish. Thank you for all your help.
Watching this was actually fun! Thank you!
Great info on cutting potatoes..
Your way of explaining is too too good..
You speak more technical without wasting time..
Thank you for your pleasant video and instructions. Just by the way of information though, potatoes do not turn brown & gray due to the iron oxidizing; they change color due to the oxidation of the enzyme polyphenol oxidase. This can be reduced by soaking them in water, as you demonstrate. This color change can also be REVERSED by putting the potatoes in water with a bit of ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) or lemon juice.
I had to use small dices for a potato salad and this helped a lot! Thank you! :)
Brilliant! THANK YOU! After all these Years of Cooking, I will admit that whenever a Potato is called for a 1.5" Size, I would always "wing it". Once I started Pressure Cooking, I had to be a bit more precise, so luckily found this Chef who SHOWED me how to FINALLY cut those Cubes properly. :)
Thank you rajshri! you helped me to mastered these skills, much oblige!
this is a very useful tutorial. thank you so much for sharing.

Thank you so much for such detailed video. I'm a beginner at cooking
Upload a video on how to to cut tomatoes -)
No problems with cutting tomatoes. You just need a *very* sharp knife. Do not apply pressure while cutting, just let the knife do all the work. I use a thin long knife for that. For potatoes, onions and most other vegetables as well.

Is the potato peel healthy to eat????
sujit gupta - as long as it's clean of dirt you're fine! the peel also contains fiber and nutrients which are things you probably would want to keep.
