      No big ideas about a new DLC, just hope they stick to the lore.
      Some minor details I'd like to see are:
      - More customizing of character and crew would be nice. Why can't I start a custom game with a face, hair and uniform of my choosing? The choices are very limited.
      The universe is getting larger. will they finally fix the 'explore' command to reveal a sector more efficiently?
      How about a command to lay mines or satellites in a pattern or spacing in game, similar to the satellites that can be added to the map only with a custom start.

      A new endgame threat: Perhaps the old Sohnen from X3 (semi-robotic species who are responsible for messing up the gate system) consider the player faction a dire threat and their powerful ships come into the X-universe to hunt us down. But only if we get too powerful and threaten to take over the X-universe by ourselves.

      "Wildest ideas" you say:
      1a. Adding a 'fuel/jump fuel' system for heavy fighters and up - and adding unconnected sectors to jump to and explore.
      1b. Adding the ability to construct gate(s) to connect said unconnected sectors.
      1c. Adding long range drones or special scanners to find said sectors while at the edge of currently known sector.
      1d. Adding a refuel mechanic (drones too?) to existing auxiliary ships - Medium auxiliary ship also a great idea. Though is Devs want to go the extra mile to create purpose built refuel ship(s), thats up to them.
      Caveat: I think devs already advised creating MORE 'SPACE' in the game is already causing significant performance issues (and not everyone upgrades their PC rig on regular basis - or can afford to). So, not a bad idea - perhaps for the 'future future', maybe X5.

    I would really like to see a rework for the current battle system espacially capital ship fight. I want to see more weapons for L and M turrets. I really like the VRO mod for all of that but i would like it to be in vanilla game :)

    New DLC must have new L/XL ships and new turrets! Maybe cruisers or battleships for some factions??? hope it goes this way

    I'd love to see the ability to create your own Gates that enable access to hidden sectors (RNG) it could open a stronghold of Xenon, Kha'ak or be a mineral heaven . . Or empty sector . . Or Tidebreak on steroids.
    Boso already shown he has a galactic brain with terraforming it'd be within possibilities to have him make a miniature gate using the wormholes we find around the galaxy and stabilizing them.
    Would also love space threats, Black Holes for example . .
    Or space fauna that hide inside foggy sectors that'll come devour ships, They could take a page out of Stellaris's book.
    Or, Add diplomacy in, war pacts, alliances, mercenary contracts. Could have factions start off with limited tech and as game progresses the faction will actively retire old tech then sell old tech to third parties like the player or minor factions.
    Ability to found pirate factions (Without you running it) i'd love if they expanded on the pirate story that got left on a cliffhanger. Or, Add a way to reprogram the Xenon? Revive the Kha'ak in a more active role?
    Factions reacting to what the player does (News covering your terrorism or market domination or actions against the xenon) having NPCS seek you out (Refugees or people that want to fight against your enemies but not drag their faction into it) Giving NPC ability to hold grudges like the Nemesis system from Shadow Of War / Shadow of Mordor and ability to found their own faction over time.
    Honestly, I just want more reason to get invested in the game. It feels like no consequence right now you get to blob status get bored and restart i have 2k hours off that alone. Nemesis system would keep it fresh cause you'll always have new enemies or new allies that come to your aid.

    X4's first person is under utilized. I'd love to see first-person expanded to include combat, particularly for ship commandeering, (or maybe spacestation commandeering, similar to what you've suggested).

      First Person focus made Rebirth kind suck even more, so I hope they don't put any more focus on it. The X Series is never, and should never, be anything remotely Star Citizen like. It's a Space Empire building game, it should stick to it's core, rather then trying to shoehorn different styles of gameplay into itself.

    They already talked about the identity crysis mechanic, maybe they are going full onboard with this mechanic on the DLC, for example, for the base game it's just a sandbox possibility, but on the DLC it's an entire new game mode, full scale war between the factions, maybe a bit Mount and Blade esk style: diplomacy, peace treaties, alliances, armies, trading agreements, so on.

    what I'd reallly like (maybe from 7.0 rather than dlc) is a modular ship building capability once you have your own shipyard... i.e. you can take blueprints you own, break them down into main parts and create ship designs that are recombinations of those parts (cockpit, main body, turret placements & number, engines, shields, guns etc)... huge ask and unlikey... but you did say wild ;)

    Just as modular and customizable as station building is, I'd love to see this with ship building too like how Starfield does it. And a edit for your idea of a M class logistics / repair ship would be amazing also salvaging expanded on.

    Better missions!!!
    I feel like X4 is stale. The missions seem like the same thing over and over and over again with slight variations, but not enough to make them enjoyable the 50th time. You can go blow up mines around a ship so many times.
    X4 has a lot going for it and as a sandbox I like it more than past versions, however the universe feels stale to me. I rarely do missions anymore.
    Also, more variety in opposition. Once you learn the tactics required to destroy an I or other large xenon, it's easy pickings. You'd think the Xenon would adapt once we learned how to destroy their ships. 😅

    I would love to see tugs able to move our stations.
    Imagine building your stations with defenses in a safe area where lots of resources are available, then tugging it to a remote location where getting resources delivered is out of the question.
    Or even moving your stations out of zones under increasing threat.

      I'd love that, especially when they'd reintroduce Terracorps jumpdrive as well. I mean, in X3-TC we even had jump boyes that could be targeted instead of the gates even though it was only used by a none playable faction without mods. So i wonder what happened to that tech? Since the gates are reopening and reconnecting, it would make sense to bring the jumpdrive back at some point.

    Speaking of tractor beams: I have an idea in my mind for quite a while now and I have also mentioned it over at the Egosoft Forum. We have the beautiful Nomad with the captain overlooking the landing pads right from the bridge. When we got that ship I played as a "ship collector", (pretending to) pulling abandoned ships onto the Nomad (carefully maneuvering that big ship under an M-class ship is so cool) , repair and sell them for a profit. That was amazing fun for me even though I had to pretend quite a bit. 🥰

    Puzzles are fun but only the 1st time, after 12 games not so much...
    Personally, I don't really want more story stuff.
    What I want is :
    1 - More intelligent fleet.
    2 - More and bigger ships
    3 - More options for diplomacy.
    4 - I want to be able to tell that dumbass fighter that's about to torpedoes all my marines to F*** off.
    5 - And I would love to have randomized sectors and factions in a new games. You could have very different start where the Terran are really weak and the Split really strong. This game start would not follow the story at all but would be a complete randomized world or seed with many different scenarios because of that. Insanely strong Xenon or very hostile Teladi. May be a Scale Plate empire, etc.

    Hi, i would like a command room. This would be on an L or XL military ship and allows for a special command view. This command view alliws very granual control of your fleet in a sector. Like placement of destroers around a station with clear turret range indications. Or quick analysis of ally and enemy ships so you know with which ships and how to engage.

    If you ask me, there are only two things this game really NEEDS:
    1) A thorough update to the piloting AI. It is absolutely frustrating to see how incredibly clunky and suicidal the AI piloting is in EVERY SINGLE fight. It's the single most immersion and enjoymewnt breaking thing. Mods can only go so far.
    2) further UI improvements. For example a way to choose what missiles are used by turrets.
    New ships and factions are gravy on top of that but would be needed to make it a product (as no one could sell you a DLC that just improves on AI)

    No mmo but i always wanted to co-op two empires one me one my friend, then we both destroy AI at our pace until there's only two faction in the universe he and me... and you know what happens there can only be one :P
    Now that i got that out of my chest, another wild idea: what about an expansion into the crew space and stations gameplay, imagine all that could be added if they expand on that a little bit... adding gun play, so you can roleplay as a marine and go with your marines and invade npc ships or stations to take em... but i feel that for x4 that's a lot of commitment there... maybe for x5 who knows...
    Another thing that always make me sad it's that i feel that it's okay we can't go to visit planets and what not in the sectors we go in X universe but i feel like the "population and story" of those places is just... too weak, only lore flavor and maybe setting atmosphere but what i wanna see is more implications depending on the history of that place, maybe even seeing more random civilian ships (that u can rob even if they do nothing cause u know civ ship without weapons nor anything) you know "little streams of space activity that go into the planet in the background" and those things added into the game are affected by currents events in the sector (xenon aggression, war with another faction and battles out there leaving lot of shipwreck)
    In other words making the sector that supposedly have large populations feels even more alive, imagine we are notified that we can't go to certain station cause terrorist attack destroyed habitat and there is an ongoing investigation, and that was instigated by a war, that is ongoing by two factions, and we see a damaged module in the station by that. So many possibilities... PS: i'm aware most of those things would hurt performance... probably yeah... x'D and would not add much to gameplay atleast last one, but you know more immersion ever!
    Finally wild thing i would love to see is better shipwrecks, i feel that capital ships destruction and stations are visually weak and unepic. Imagine that they redesign those, that in a grand battle you attack one capital ship with another capital ship with the (biggest gun they got) tearing apart one of these ships but not exploding into Smithereens but you have a ship cut in half in the middle of battle almost dying but still alive with crew kicking still shooting at things and you enter with your small or medium ship and destroy some of those still alive turrets, like you are in certain far far away galaxy killing bad dudes, or like you are certain captain with ur trusty V greeting friend ramming into ships and surviving barely with your ship crumbling and some parts of it in the middle of space floating away. and that's it i mean i feel like they have little feasibility but u wanted wild ones not things in realms of possibility (but well with egosoft u never know what surprise they will bring us)
    to end, i wanna say i like @extraporking ones a lot. enjoy your wild ideas girl & boys! and don't forget Cadia still stands!

    Something i'd like to see for a long time, that also would be "unusual", is to be able to play as xenon or maybe as another agi cluster. This could Come with a xenon overhaul and could include said crisis. Like xenon reconnecting with all CPU ships and reopen Gates to the network via xenon Hub, which randomly redirects gate connections and causes Chaos.

    What I would love more than anything is just a simple COOP. A friend comes into the game and can be part of your "corp" and fly and work with you.

      @@umahorseman For this to happen Egosoft must provide you multiplayer with all of it's difficulties to implement. It's not simple or easy to implement multiplayer alone not to mention on top of complex and vast universe with thousands of ships flying to sustain virtual economy. They said many times it will never be implemented for X4. All you can hope they will change their mind with X5 that will be made in some future, but I wouldn't hold your breath for it.
      At that point they can just make X Online, but it will have really hard competitor that has two decades head start called Eve Online.

    Going to add this to top of my comment cause I think it's amazing after I wrote some of my wants in content.
    The (Piracy DLC)
    - Continue the Empyrean Curs Storyline to make you leader or subleader. Or to work solely for Meastro and the curs. With random missions to help improve their progress to controlling sectors etc after main storyline ends. Or even continue the storyline to a point where you control the Empyrean curs or have been given general status or something? Maybe the leader dies like Maestro and then you are made the leader and you get Axiom and others as personnel/crew.
    The other content in the DLC would be to make generation of NPCs more diverse and unique. Also adding more ships of all sizes. And as in video a troop carrier or new ships that focus on moving troops/marines. Of all factions. Even can be small carriers etc. Also to add the addition to renaming NPCs and a new plethora of names NPCs spawn with. New armours for Marines and helmets etc. Just a crap ton of cool stuff to make NPCs more alive and fun to use.
    (Old comment) I would like to see more diverse looks from hairs and beards and clothes to more faces and whatnot on all NPCs. They are very bland without mods. Also wish you have an escort when on stations on ground. Like personal bodyguards and stuff maybe. I don't know? Hope there is a DLC that improves NPCs and more random generations. Like new armors for marines, a bunch of new ships of all sizes. Would be cool. ALSO to continue the Empyrean Curs storyline. :D Would buy the crap out of that DLC!

    Need Jonferco and other smaller business factions, also need more Destroyer/Battleship type ship options for each faction.
    Need one of these inactive jump gates to lead to a new galaxy, or maybe even back to some of the old Galaxies from earlier games. Maybe to the location of the lost Brenan dude, and discover he has passed on but we meet an entire new faction or factions, lost whatever race, or a new race or even the Goner like you mentioned. With a Khak revelation and more story/lore, perhaps they have found a way to communicate with us and we have a story that will lead us to a choice of war or peace, or stopping the Terran or Argon or whom ever from escalating and another war breaks out. Tons of options.
    Fix the Yaki, they seem to have decided to make them a non factor, well maybe a larger group of Yaki that were in an area with massive amounts of resources and we can see the Galleon 2.0 and other Yaki ships. Perhaps they are even large enough to be a threat to one of the other factions, seems they used to be close to the Paranid, so maybe Argon has to face it this time, since Teladi, Split and Paranid are pretty occupied.
    Or even a supper aggressive split faction.
    But yes, MORE SHIPS, seems so few options compared to older games, now that gate network has been re-established there is no reason not to have competing minor/business factions to start producing other ship types not directly affiliated with any faction.

    I'd like to see every commonwealth faction receive a battleship class ship, at the moment only the Terrans get one which is mass produced and the Xenon, you'd think the other races would have made a response to that. Also with the boron DLC I noticed that you encountered Kha'aak quickly, perhaps the DLC will add them as a threat again, similar to X3 .

      Actually, in game files there are hidden battleships for other races, for example, splits python battleship with all stats defined.

    Setting up Traffic (with new 'bus-ships') routes to transfers personel/people across stations. Movement of the workers between stations/sectors!

    What would make me buy a new DLC even harder than now would be seeing the AI utilize the +/-Z space of 3D+time continuum to it's fullest extent rather than having everything in one XY-plane in sectors and the same in the station designer in a way that doesn't require finagling with game files.

    Egosoft needs to keep up with many, many other space sim games. X4 is one of the greatest games ever, but now many big competitors exist.
    *Asking Egosoft to create a Ship Designer Might be too much* However, Egosoft needs to allow us to select our ship interiors. Like the station designer, we should be able to buy/select which types of rooms are in Medium to XL Ships. Of course, the larger ships should have more room options the player would have. Rooms should also be different across races.
    Also, more different human NPCs. In X4, almost everyone is a clone... YUK! We need more variety in the Human NPCs.
    *Summary:*
    1) Ship Interior Selection.
    2) More different Humans NPC.
    3) Station SPACEPORT terminal for station piers. We should be able to transport to the Spaceport Terminal and walk into a Large ship.
    These are really minor changes that would not require another year to implement.

    I’d quite like to see a Babylon5 angle play out say the Split allying themselves with a new powerful alien race that then allows them to threaten the Boron with a planet killer dreadnought class ship which then forces the players and factions to fight for or against the Split…. With some twists along the way maybe the ALien race deciding the Paranid or Terrans are better suited so a double cross plays out. You could even mix and match it so the allies aren’t predetermined it’s calculated as the game plays out… what happens if one side takes out a Teladi asset do they try to remain neutral? Do the Boron develop an equally powerful solution to counter the threat and its then misused by one of their allies? You could go in so many directions and not mess up the basic canon as it could play out very differently for each player…. 😊

    - I'd enjoy more ship customization: Having weapons energy shared with shield energy and engine enrgy means you can choose to have tankier ships or faster ones or more balanced one in your fleet
    - 1080p - 2k - 4k VR at fixed 60fps would be great
    - True diplomacy ! I want to be hired to broker deals for war and peace between splits and borons. Using the X3 mechanics for core sectors and border sectors, We could have paranids taking over the widely connected border sectors of argons who are stuck in argon prime.

    More than anything the game needs an overhaul to its AI. Ships don't know how to fight each other correctly, they don't know how to follow each other in formation. This stuff is fundamental to the experience and more important than any new content.

    I’m pretty sure they said that 2 factions in vanilla are going to have their ship designs completely changed. The Teladi and the Paranid. That’s a big one and I think the Xenon are getting a bit of a makeover

    I would also like there to be some unique places add to the universe that is worth visiting in fps mode and have those places habited by npc’s and ‘light’ story missions.

    I really hope they expand more on terraforming or late game elements, would love ability to detatch terraforming from the HQ eventually so we could manage several planets, as well as potentially large scale production/mining on planets we built the infrastructure up for that could be exported into space perhaps after the construction of some mega engineeering project like a space elevator.
    could expand on this with being able to set up terraforming like setups on systems that are around moons and such, imagin a large mining complex at the mercury location to mine massive amounts of silicon from mercurys surface. Doing things like this could also alivate the massive ship spam for mega complexes if we built them around systems we could mine, even if its a massive cost to initially set up.
    another system i would love to see is expansion of crew custimizations, let us set uniforms and even stuff like faction limitations for roleplay runs, ability to give crew nicknames or invest in training complexes.
    Also just want to see improvements to existing factions like yaki, giving them the ability to expand or other ways players can interact and help them develop, other ways to influence the empire powers once we reach endgame, being able to actually sell stations to factions would be great (one of my fav mods) or pay some kind of black market system to influence the players rep with factions for when we go super negitive, or even sway galactic empires with missions, overall just more missions that can have an impact would be great.
    was also trying to think of a way to make credits still usefull at endgame, that could be attached to some kind of large scale planetary mining operations where we need to pay to maintain these since they cant add crew wages this late in the game but could do it for a new type of system, or just something with the black market where the costs to sway empires could cost billions as an endgame feature.

    I'd like new technology to research, the research tree isn't that expansive, like imagine applying teleporter tech onto a L class miner or transport and they dont have to dock to trade, or having repeatable tech tree things like small passive incremental upgrades to shields, hull, etc that apply to the player/AI controlled player faction stuff

    Hyperjump. As a late game feature. You can build ships with hyperjump drive (or addition) which can jump over 10 sectors or such. It may needs some type of special fuel or something...

    I'd like to see an equivalent to X3's M7. I was really bummed by the "Frigates" in X4 when in X3 the M7 Frigates were more like light destroyers. So maybe a new Ship Class for light destroyers or cruisers or something. So basically a relatively fast, manuverable L (or maybe even an M+ as a new size?!) ship, that trades shield, hull and/or firepower for more flexibility and is more suitable for a player ship than a lumbering destroyer. With the current Missile System you could thoereticaly make them into M7Ms but i would like to see a missile overhaul aswell. Missiles just seem unattractive when you compare them with X3.
    Also i would LOVE to see something like the Hyperion from X3, so basically an overpowered corvette, which was really, really hard to come by. Not unique, but very rare, not producable and very hard to capture because the crew has higher morale and always flies with escorts in heavily guarded sectors for example would be an option for X4. I really want to have some "trophy" ships. I mean technically you have the ability to mod your ships to make them strong, but i would love to have a seperate ship that is not as mass produced. That feel, especially since your Wharfs, once you have them, can spit out ships like TicTacs is something i really miss in X4. A rare ship that needs preperations and lots of effort to just get one of, let alone multiple would be very cool. But again, please NOT unique. If you want to invest multiple game hours into finding, boarding/capturing a single ship and then getting it out of the System in one piece, you should be able to do that without the "only once" limit. That's the beauty of a Sandbox.
    And please please please bring Betty back when I get info of a new ship. When i first saw an I class in the far distance, i really missed an epic intro for it by Betty's cold neutral voice telling me i'm screwed if i get closer with my puny Elite.
    Also The Aran was such a nice ship. It'd be awesome to find it again. Ahhhh so many ideas. :)

      The mod that makes ammunition auto-replenish is what fixes missiles. Maybe that is the way to go here. Maybe they only respawn out of combat, or slower. But having to restock is what is killing their usability.

    Some sort of fleet academy would be great where you can train your crews and marines
    Also, make use of the player first person perspective and let me have a gun amd support my marines directly
    Also some more options for diplomacy would be great, even embassy ststions where you can have faction reps in your territory
    Anything more then just being able to declare war would ve a plus

      You can train your pilots and marines once you have finished terraforming. I guess you haven't unlocked that yet ;)

    I'd love to see a new Xenon faction with a more complex Xenon economy and different (more advanced?) ships, that is at war with the old Xenon with the special option to assimilate their ships and stations (and other ships and stations as well, with some kind of robotic marines, trying to board even player ships so that having marines as a defense makes sense), and that is at war with almost every normal faction as well, but can utilize some factions (e.g. pirates?) to trade technology, weapons and ressources or something.

    I want to see a new faction/corporation that competes against us the player sort of like the Phanon Corp in Litcubes X3, similar to the Xenon but it only wants to take us the player out. It would give the player a new threat that is directly trying to kill us, taking out our stations and trade ships, trying to taking over our sectors etc.

    What i would like is Goners and quest they do is something that could be tied to X5 as story spoiler(or warning of things to come)
    And repair ships OH GOD YES. then again only thing i tend to pirate is Asgard everything else is below my pay grade :P

    The possibility of your own X and XL ships being boarded and taken from you. Without adequate protection, ie escorts, marines on board, your ships are at risk being boarded, not only by pirates but enemy factions as well.

    I would really like it if they made it so you could be a full on pirate that doesn't get along with any faction. Right now you still need to get to a good rep with people to be able to learn how to build the weapons or to install them. I'm thinking maybe be able to take weapon off claimed ships or maybe get missions to be able to break in to find them or the blueprints to make them

    Hi, I really like the concept of a small carrier for quest hunting. But this kind of ship is no longer in the game. For me 1 S and 2 M class ships would be ideal for all my quest needs. A fast travel ship maybe with a decent crew for board assist.

      X3TC had an M class ship that could allow 4 S class ships docked on it. The class names have changed but it was that size. They would fly up into the hull from below the carrier and park vertically. It was a frame type ship, like car carrier semi trucks today on highways. You could see the ships like you can see the cars.

    Heys, I'd like to chime in without doing any spoilers about the new DLC, but I have to get this out of my system because their lore is already established since X-Rebirth: The Goners were a religious sect in the old days before the Terran Conflict, preaching about Earth since the Argon race's original heritage was erased from history. When the conflict happened, the Goners disbanded in disbelief, seeing that their beloved Earth would actually turn against them.
    By the time of X-Rebirth most of them assimilated back to normal Argon citizens while a few of them became pirates, the Heretic Vanguards. And by the time X4 plays out, they are most likely gone for good (thus we don't see them anymore).

    Great idea with the station boarding, and you could make it different by having 'mechs' instead of pods of marines. Large, space-capable robots, about the size of the civilian ships.
    I wouldn't expect them to be the classic 'human' anime style, but have different designs for each race. They could perhaps be modular so they could send in small drones into humanoid-sized spaces. It would be so cool to see them hanging around stations as defensive forces. One can dream... 😁

      The npc looks have been overhauled at least once during X4's lifetime. But there's no indication that their tools would've changed in that regard. Before that happens, they aren't able to make very flexible / modern looking npc models. I agree though that it would be a worthy long term goal.

    The lack of Co-Op is a sad miscalculation for me in this new game in my opinion. Harvesting a community around the game by allowing people who like the game to play together would have extended the life of the game. People want to play together in these game worlds. I don't know why the Producer doesn't want to pursue this. I know it's his project and his vision but I wish he was open to this possibility.

    Hm, don't really miss the Gooner, to be honest. I would more like to see the super corporation's, like Plutarch Mining, Jonferco, OTAS ...
    I know they are probably got lost in the story during and after Rebirth, but would nice to see one or two of them, coming back out of an forgotten part of the gate system.
    Edit: Something about the troop carrier, would also be cool, if the ship Itself could land/dock at unusual locations at the station and infiltrate's from there. The troops could have some kind of magnetic boots and make there way in like blasting away a door or window. Maybe the ship it self is cutting a hole into the station and we have to protect it while it's doing so.

    Guys, we got a lot of masterpiece mods for x3. Especially when AI robot fanction play against player, bild his own stations, logistics, fleets - trying to destroy you own property, killing your ships, claim your sectors, raid your facility. Expect that endgame content looks like this in 7.00. Or difficulty wariations have changes - because now - its just an AFK strategy, after 20 hours ingame.
    After 1000+ hours in all X franchise, im realize , that im always losing interest because you got 500,000,000 credit per hour after few days - you can grab you 40 capital ships fleet and burn ALL map being AFK. No exeptioms.
    Boarding Asgard - you win the game. Get 10 of them - you can go made some coffe when your Asgard's fleet totally rip any fanction in game.Any sector. And NO one in galaxy can stop me .
    Thats just boring.
    I know AI scripts - can be really difficult, some mechanics not perfect, but - X-series was always difficult, thats why we all like it. Now its just 4-5 days game with a lot of ships, 3 types turrets, and animations from 2009.
    After all this year,s - we still got only 3 effective turrets in x4 - ARG M Flak , ARG L Plasma , Paranid L plasma. Seriosly?
    Where is YAKI? Whits all unique ships and pirates empire?
    Where is ALL Corporations? with their own Stations,ships, quest's, stories? Terracorp,OTAS,Jonferco,Plutarch,NMMC,Goner...?
    Where is continue story with KHAAK? Their M and L ships?Explaining their jump mechanics?Anything?
    Where is AI Fanctions which can challenge player ingame? SRSLY.
    Where is rebalancing missiles patch? You just kill whole part of the dogfights and system defence. Missiles useless right now, may be can do something with that????
    Where is REALLY BIG wars for capital fleets? For what i should spend all their billions which generate my empire?
    I want some challenge with some AI, or war mechanics, or anything, which can destoy me ingame.
    I want trade,build,think, WAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Not just selling Ore and buy "new pretty ships".
    Can 7.00 add some challenge for players? Let see...

    In X3 you could move asteroids, ships. Btw, mining could only be done by constructing a mine on specific asteroid. Recycling is "the core" of Avarice. Outside you can only make some $ or materials. It makes a little sense with low impact.
    1. Anyway I miss the good old Jump Drive and I don't understand why it was not introduced in X4, it was available in X rebirth (from what I remember). Ok it is somehow implemented because L and XL are teleporting next to connected gates ... but is not what it was able to do in the past. Ships could JD to any discovered gate or nav beacon, it could JD in case of danger: merchants faster and army ships by setting a shield/structural damage threshold. It used energy cells as fuel for jumps and captains could refill automatically.
    2. More skirmishes would be nice since in my current universe all are building ships to just fill the space.
    3. I would like to have more builders working on a station, like 2-3-4 (with some kind of limitations, maybe a building manager + his XP) with maximum 1 working on 1 module.
    4. The ability to disable Xen ships after clearing turrets, shields on it, drag it to a shipyard and make it usable for the player with a low limit(3-5) on crew (because Xen don't have crew).
    5. More Xen ships types(M), Xen used to have carriers.
    6. Research and build ATF weapons and ships
    7. Research on current ships/weapons/shields etc in order to improve them. This will be hard because of balance which is always broken by numbers. Or just to build 2-3 unique/"prototype" ships.
    8. More xen and khaah invasions/raids. This can be done with more free sectors between opposing factions.
    9. New compact stations/modules with low impact on performance or the ability to upgrade one module to produce more.
    10. Make easier to apply upgrades (green, blue...) is a pain to roll 10 shields, 10 M/L turrets for more ships.
    11. Make ships modules more configurable: instead of turrets mount front weapons, shields, cargo. Convert cargo space to space for crew, missiles etc.
    12. Implement an optional Weapon-Shields-Engine-Jump Drive energy management. Maybe just for ships in point 7.
    I have tons of ideas because I`m in the X games since X3, but enough for now. Have fun!

    1) What could be very cool is a New cruiser L class ship, larger than a destroyer, stronger but less powerfull with a lot if L turrets.
    seeing destroyers facing each others and maki g "pew - pew" with no movments is kinda boring.
    2) a diplomacy mod
    3) New races like khaaks and shonens
    4) connexions with old x-games sectors
    5) fleet behaviour improvments
    6) a plot that could intriduce the future X game (like discovering a new gate reaching a new galaxy where Shonens live now)
    New L ship for boarding could be cool, but if it's a feature only used by the player, maybe not...

    Ideas: Economy from planets in sectors. All economy works now without planets. Claiming sectors should give us more profits - stations from other factions and more. And the most important: Story. Connecting with older games. Withs X: Rebirth. Omicron Lyrae, this missing terran faction, Albion - I want to see what happend there. New sectors: Where is President's end? Split fire? (In mod, I know). And something bigger on Horizon. Khaak are mostly destroyed, Xenons still dangerous but more about sohnens? Station claiming - yes. Oh, Paranid Prime?

    1 - I miss my Hyperion Vanguard from X3. There isn't really an equivalent ship in X4, so maybe a new ship class between M and L.
    2 - I also miss the Kha'ak threat. Now they are just insects that occassionally buzz too loudly, so I would love to see them make a comeback, maybe with their own held systems attached to the gate network. I also miss flying in a Kha'ak fighter, but I have not been able to get one to bail in X4.
    3 - Co-op. Come on man, just connect via steam and play together in the same faction or set up rival factions... obviously not for random people, but I would love to share a universe with family members who also play X4.
    4 - Fix fleet controls! (I know, wild, right?) To this day my biggest fleet engagements involve an Asgard for anti-capital and station destruction, and a Raptor for anti fighter. I don't even use fighters. There is not only no need for anything more, but it's too damned complicated, or just doesn't work as intended. I used to struggle to line up Syns into a firing line to take out Xenon stations, they outrange them, but something that should be simple and intuitive is rediculously complicated and broken. Screw it - take it out with the Asgard while Raptor provides cover.

    Not gonna lie, I still want Aldrin and old terraformer tech/ships to come back as well as old terran weaponary(more weapons overall). Mabye a sequel to a springblossom, something like summerblossom. Ofc, new X4 ships look awesome, but two of them are based on old ATF tech, so why not dive deeper into legacy tech with spice of modern design, don't you think? Terrans have embraced their Aldrin legacy in X3, but no signs of it in X4 other than Deca CPU wreck and broken gates. Makes me sad.
    Also, it feels wrong that technologically superior faction shows stagnation in technology, or, rather, lack of inovation. They literally had ages to make something unique.
    Aldrin aside, there is also Albion stranded outside of stabilised gate network. Never played X rebirth personally, but from what I heard xenon T was build there, then captured and integrated into Xenon fleets. I certainly would like to hear that story too.

    Hope that there is a way to somehow turn the factions against each other - as the saying goes "war means profit".
    New ships - yes - also nice.
    I'd prefer it if the autopilot finally gave way properly because some stupid AI built a station directly behind the jumpgate.
    And some commands would finally work properly, "repeat command" for example.
    But of course there should also be a new main plot - when you've achieved almost everything - i.e. in the endgame when all that's left is terraforming.
    There are still some gates that are not active - hopefully something will happen...

    Aside from the Goner we are also missing something else. A faction, or faction addition. Paranid Prime is still missing. And I am not necessarily advocating to put a third Paranid faction into the game.
    Buuuuuut, we know from the previous games that the Paranid did mess around with Nividium, which is a material mostly found in Kha'ak sectors. The Kha'ak thought to be extinct or at least defeated for a while and were non-existent while the gates were disconnected.
    What if, what if we connect back to Paranid Prime and the former glorious center of the Paranid Empire, only to find it host to a new super-hive of Kha'ak, with a weak resistance of Paranid warriors. Having to rely on repairing what they have, as they have no means of producint new ships.
    Another faction that is missing from X4 are the... species in x3 that popped up now and then with their "unknown ship". A ship that is completely unrelated to any known species and may or may not be connected to the gate builders.
    But in all honesty: I don't think we'll see the Goner any time soon. The Alliance of the Word has took their place in the narrative and with the reconnection of the Terran gate and the Terran Conflict, the Goner more or less became utterly obsolete.
    The Kha'ak on the other hand are a very viable threat to build up. The return of clusters and maybe point-to-point jumpdrives.
    I really think we'll see a powerful resurgance of the Kha'ak. Especially since they hinted at something that'd be challenging in the late-game.

    I dont know in how many DLCs this will happen, but here are My Ideas i would like to see in Game some time:
    Introdice external docking points for all carriers
    I hope they will increase the variety of Xenon Ships
    Make some Kha'ak sectors and increase their roster by a lot
    Introduce Ship of the lines for every faction (L ships like destroyers but without any front weapon and more turrets)
    Some specialised Missile Ships (M, L or M&L), that do have way more missile capacity and increase the missile stats, when fired from this ship (so a buff to speed, tracking and damage)
    A L classed carrier for every faction (As I love the Gupppy and the other factions should try and copy it, they should not be as strong as the original, but still available for all)
    Gas and Mineral Transport ships
    Some rare, predefined special, huge asteroids in asteroids where you can build Mining Stations, that can produce one of the base minerals and gases (depending on asteroid deposit) as a small, stationairy addition to the mining fleet
    A advanced gamemode option, where ships do have two additional cargo bays, one is the fuel for the reactor (Antimatter cells) wich are depleted by traveling and shield absorption, and ammunition storage (energy cells (and majbe a new ressource called bullets)), that are depleted by firing the weapons

    In my humble personal opinion at this point in development they should be very careful about spending resources to develop features that after a brief initial curiosity end up becoming irrelevant for the purposes of the gameplay.
    For example you mentioned the user's use of the tractor beam. Other than trying it a couple of times, do you think you would use it when you have a fleet of dozens of ships? Or, walking on the planets: many would think it's cool, but without special things to do after the first two times who would be interested in going there? We saw just recently with Starfield how inconclusive it is to create features that don't add value to daily gameplay.
    Marine carrier... I find it a strategically questionable choice: you can already set up several transports loaded with marines, which are faster and more maneuverable.
    I hope they fix the ship capture system, because currently you can create your entire empire without firing a single shot. You go to a war zone, and when you see ships without shields you call and tell them to abandon ship... and often they do. I also find it ridiculous that you can board ships by simply sending marines without disabling them first. You steal an Asgard from Earth like this, and they don't bat an eye. It's as if they stole an aircraft carrier from the USA and since they weren't the target of fire they don't bat an eyelid.
    A completely new addition that I would love to see are self-generated storylines. In the actuality you go to stations and get missions, which is a bit too monotonous, especially when you have become very powerful. It would be more interesting if the missions were connected to each other by a story. Doing so shouldn't be difficult: it is known that all the stories we know are guided by 6-7 plots, already known in Greek times. Storylines could be procedurally generated variations of these plots. Rewards should also be appropriate, e.g. introducing unique variations of modules that you normally couldn't have by simply building them.
    Another addition I'd like to see is a strategic representation of the world. Nowadays you live in this huge space and you basically only see what's happening at the micro level. It's the exact opposite of what happens in reality, where if you turn on the TV it's shown "synthesis" of what happens in the world.
    Knowing that in a certain period the Xenon are invading sector A, that invading troops are massing in sector B, that the Argon situation in sector X is becoming critical, that prices are exceptionally raising in sector Y, that new resources have been found in sector Z, would help you have a better vision of the galaxy. A summary of this kind could, for example, be projected onto one of the panels in larger spaceships like a news broadcast, so as to give some sense to walking around the interior.
    Regarding individual ships that can be added, I believe that sooner or later it might make sense to introduce dedicated e-war ships into the game. Currently, there are only chaffs to reduce the offensive capacity of enemies: introducing radar jamming systems or similar would increase strategic variety.
    Yet another addition would be the need to provide for the maintenance of ships. It makes little sense that ships traveling across an entire galaxy only get damaged if hit by enemy fire. The hulls should need maintenance, albeit slowly. This would first of all give meaning to maintenance environments even in remote places, secondly it would lead to an increase in demand even for factions that are not at war.

    I would love to be able to capture kha'aak and xenon ships and manually fire from any turrets like in x2

    Battleships would be cool. The game lacks real battleship. I have some nice mods for that but it could be a nice addition in game.
    Anyway, more is always better... More ships, more weapons, more engines, more shields, more sectors, more, threats, more missions...
    And more unknown... Some sectors should be really unknown part of the universe, totally unexplored. You could follow hints or missoins to discover theese.. And find there many surprises, why not some new and unknown tech to upgrade your ships or your production chains... And going there should be risky, you'd have to mount a complete expedition to, why not, settle there, and create a new economy in a new area of the galaxy.

    I would really enjoy if there was a story branch, about a charakter incapsulated in a splinter faction of a scrapyard company. A start as a TUG captain working up it's rank as a wreck dealer to a parts dealer.
    Maybe with a slight shady connection to pirate factions. I enjoyed the flavor of Avarice area the whole part with the tide quite much....
    Generally it would be great to have the possibility to hide crimes or even to get a chance to avoid penalties on factions while stealing ships. Maybe bribery, emergency call jamming of ships being harassed would be cool. Using Illegal weaponry of pirate factions.
    On the other hand it would also be great to have a production module for upgrades as a top end of a economical Tycoon.
    A schooling economy for personel would also enrich the possibilities in X 4 and are somehow easy to implement as a mechanic.
    However l'd happy to see Pilot schools, military cadet academy, or an University station Module.

    The only new ships I need for now are "E" version of all original L and XL class ships, and of course, Military Transports.
    The return of Gooner would be quite interesting.
    And I like to be able to decide the uniforms of my crew.

    I think the next DLC will be a story dlc … I wouldn’t expect any new ships without a new faction introduced.
    I doubt any new features that changes how the game work will ever be part of a DLC exclusively so I don’t see that happening. But I can imaging that new features especially in regards to end game content will be introduced alongside whatever the dlc will be about.

    Best new DLC I can think of is a bug fixing patch. I would really like to play/fly a game without having to download a patch that a fantastic fan has put together for all of us so we can play the game. But the new DLC will most likely break the patches we have and will have to wait for them all to be upgraded LMAO. Hope 7.0 works out for all.

    Yeah, everything you have recommended I like, are good ideas for dlc's also I would like a new faction of Teladi that will still have the ships from Albion Prelude and so, creating a continuity in game story. These new Teladi ships would had been implemented as a new war doctrine as like they depart from practical and efficient to the new style and comfort. Would be nice for a new dlc.
