i like how they made the x-49 a little more fitting in the infinity universe. jet engines instead of aeon engines, the supposed thrusters on the bottom wing are now exhausts. i like the subtle differences
I know it's a game and I'm probably overthinking things, but I have two headcanons for this: 1. This is an earlier prototype of the X-49, which started out like this but was slowly upgraded by General Resource and/or Ouroboros into what we saw in AC3. A Block 1 or MkI of sorts. 2. The X-49 is future tech that somehow made its way back in time, however since many of the technologies in it haven't been invented they've been replaced with more basic but available tech that can be replicated by the automated aviation plants and maintained by contemporary engineers back at base. The X-49s players can get are probably these dumbed down replicas, while the original is stored somewhere secret and being reverse engineered.
I really wanna see a remake of Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere, and have the JP version translated and dubbed for global release. Hopefully, Project ACES sees how much in international fans like the JP release. I assume they've seen Project: NEMO by now.
Unfortunately, they said it cost more than ac4, 5 and zero(all 3 included). I think the reason is that they have to pay request fee to production I.G for remake, which will might cost as same as remake one of 4, 5, and zero. Also, there's some problem with jet fighters partnership. Maybe they can make a sequel of ac3(if bandai namco support that project ALOT)
I'd rather see a game that ties into Ac3 as opposed to a bloody remake of it. I'm sick of remakes and remasters. Either connect series, or leave them alone. Another interesting option, a game that takes place after Ac3.

Christopher0184 you can look up the planes and games they where in and find gameplay of them. and from what i can tell alot of them dont actually have cockpits. Someone said they where lazy not giving the Delph a cockpit and someone else mentioned that in the older older games (idk when it changed) the planes had no cockpit view really. it was view the plane from the back or view the plane with just a hud. when i go into regular cockpit view with delph it shows just an overlay of green with my same hud which is how it originally was apperntly. Thats what the coffin system is. it shows a full 360 degree view of the outside world with no controls or anything to get in the way. i think in strangereal games the pilot controlled the plane with a neural uplink or something i could be wayyyy wrong lol. so there are no controls or sticks or things like that. as said could be way wrong youd/id have to check the wiki

Well Ace Combat Infinity was one of the worst Ace Combat games, but none of them were bad enough to call them garbage. Infinity tried something new, it was free to play nostalgia ride, tho the paiment formula and events were not great. They tried something new, they failed. They learned.
Furebel It was a free to play, they didn’t fail at all, I don’t think it was really a big budget type of thing, they just worked on it whenever they were able to. AC7 came out as a huge success since its announcement over 3 years ago.

Not a huge fan of the direction AC3 took, but it was admittedly an interesting concept, and a pretty bleak vision of the future. I think I'd be cool with the setting if the player aircraft were real-world planes that don't use the COFFIN interface and are physically manned by human pilots... And if the Typhoon isn't trash tier again.

This plane uses the prototype system COFFIN where the pilot is encased and uses neuron activity to steer the plane, hence why outside sound is rarely heard. Many more prototype vehicles use this system as well.
codyh0886 Searching up the COFFIN system explains what I meant. The pilot doesn't hear anything outside the vehicle because they're completley encased, for better maneuverability. That's why environmental sound is extremely low, although the music doesn't change.

Yeah, then no one will fly other planes. That laser is extremely powerful in ac3. One shot can down a whole floating city. And there is no limit on the ammo. The only thing that is more powerful is the shockwave missile form Fenrir. But that missile takes a whole minute to reload.
