Molly: I've seen some of the most capable guitarist of the past 40 years; from Segovia to McLaughlin to Beck to De Lucia to Krantz to Scofield to Holdsworth etc.... The way you dance with your guitar while playing really soulful, melodic, nuanced leads is something I've never seen at your high level of playing to make your 335 more an extension of your body than anyone I've seen is so thoroughly enjoyable and conveys your joy of playing far more than most... You are really a unique and significant artist! I hope we see more of you in NYC!!!
Hi Molly Miller.I don't know how your channel showed up in my suggestions, but I'm sure glad it did. I'm sub'd and looking forward to future uploads. You make your LP sing as well as any player I've ever listened to. Cheers from way west of Chicago
So good. Improvisimg musicians who communicate so directly with the audience through their playing are the pinnacle of musicianship. MM is one of these. Sullivan Fortner among pianists, Julian Lage among guitarists, Nate Smith among drummers… This is inspired and inspiring playing!
This jam made me look up Route 66 maps - just so totally gave me images of a fast sports car, moving at the edge of unsafe speeds, going up into and then down the other side of mountains and ending at the sea. For real. This lady is making some great tunes. The musicality of the drummer was also ridiculous... so many textures.
Have not seen any recent material.Look forward to it, try getting back to a weekly song Please.I enjoy your solos as they appear so effortless but are melodic and never get stale.
@@mollymillermusic molly love the great sound you get i am a solo electric blues style player in a place called Yeppoon Queensland so I find you style of playing is similar to mine but of course your music knowledge is far more reaching than myself please keep the videos coming 🎸🎸🎸
Molly this is one of your best tunes ever - you obviously have a feel for this instrument which is extraordinary and it comes out every time you play something. Everyone sounded amazing here, but I have gotta tip my hat to Tamir because GODDAMN. Thank you for this music!
So happy to have discovered Molly. The rest of the band is great as well, and love the whole vibe of the filming etc. The reel to reel was a nice touch!
Fantastic tune! Pairs well with tailfins, lots of chrome, white sidewall tires, and pavement. Lots of pavement winding west. Gonna pull the cover off the '59 Biarritz and fire it up for a drive this afternoon...
Incredible trio performance, I absolutely loved it. So much variation in Molly's guitar playing that there's not time to get bored. Molly must have used every technique in the book on 66 West and then some. It's a wonderful piece of music which I will listen to many times. Thanks.
Having just found you, not only impressive, but after 40 yrs of fretboard fumbling, you’ve brought to my table a huge inspiration!!! Something that I can understand & grow with…Thx ♥️
Didn’t see this coming, but I clicked the watch/listen button and wow totally blown away great work much appreciated I’ll look for more of your music/thx
ya know I usually come in here and praise your playing, and while I should do that I have to stop and say that this drummer, Tamir Barzilay is a beast! My God I don't know where you find these people, but you have the knack. I need to upgrade my soundcard so I can hear the Bass player.
Phew. I realised I had almost stopped breathing during that. Wonderful. I could hear a little flavour of the Cruel Sea by the Dakotas I thought. Not, I thought, Beth Goodfellow on the drums despite what the description claims.
Just found your music - wow! How are you finding these incredible drummers? I am floored by your trios - you seem to have that extremely rare ability of band leaders to put together a group that just makes magic.
wow. cool. the soundtrack to a train robbery sequence of western movie that's never been filmed.... thanks, dr. nice work as always. i'm assuming this is going to be on the record we're getting later this year?
In a way I don’t care anymore, I’m literally infatuated with you. When I play I think about how you’d phrase when I move around the room during a song I think of you. I express everything more accentuated lately. It always seems like you’re ready to kick off your shoes just to feel the floor. I wanna interpret sound the same way. I enjoy yourself.
My 9 year old asked me what sort of music I like and I said "I like my music with lumps in." He didn't understand so I played him this. Now he also likes lumps in his music.
@@mollymillermusic Here the madness starts at 3:15, streamed the madness starts at 3:30 🖤(hopefully my ears are not playing tricks on me) and instant cart out if you ever get around to putting up the full pdf transcription for guitar. I did your caged course too so now I'm ready to be Molly Miller Solo 🤣
Found Molly from a fretboard journal podcast. Glad i did. Ive been on a big Bill Frisell kick and Mollys playing is in that same rarified air. Also, what amp are you playing (if you see this)? Great tone.
Dr. Miller’s playing is always so fresh, creative and precise. It is truly a gift to us all. Thank you!
❤️ than you!
Speaking to me….All the rhythm and melody anyone could ever need…
Off the charts fantastic. Molly Miller guitar goddess.
66 West is quite the opus! What a wonderful adventure, excellent music and performance.
♥️ ♥️ ♥️ ♥️ ♥️
That solo melted my face off.

Everything about this is fantastic. The playing, the mix and the fantastic camerawork.
I wonder if Molly sees colors when she plays?
WOW WOW WOW...and WOW!

That was spectacular!
Incredible. Soothing and stirring at the same time. It's exhilarating seeing people make music just for the sake of making music.
