The braid and band struggle is real. But you gotta keep the faith! One day you won't need to do the b-n-b thing anymore. I totally use the sauve shampoo mixed with Dr Bronners. Its the best. Although I have microlocs not sister locs.
I feel like you made yourself do a lot more than necessary. Next time try diluting the shampoo in a spray bottle with water. It will sud up easier and apply more easily. You are less likely to loosen all the hard work you put into braiding and banding. By spraying the diluted shampoo in, you can make sure you get all your scalp without water and shampoo running into your eyes. Then you just need to worry about rinsing it out. Applying just the shampoo can lead to buildup on the locs over time unless thoroughly rinsed out which can be a pain in the butt to do. Slippage is more likely when you completely drench your sisterlocs and apply shampoo because the water and gravity make your sisterlocs heavier.
Hello! Great tip from Cyrene! I use an applicator bottle to dilute my shampoo. I didn't want sprayed water shampoo particles going on the floor and everywhere. Remember to braid and band! Best Wishes!
@@mybeasley2442 ♥️ Thanks so much for your tip as well!! I've decided that I'll let my loctician wash my hair until my hair matures enough for me to wash it on my own. Lol.
Your video was so cute! Made me smile. I'm 4.5 months into the journey and learning great new things about my hair and the process. I'm LOVING both! Looking forward to my year in October 2022!
Yes, no problem I really look forward to watching your videos. Our hair type is the same and I just had mine installed February 20th. So not too far from you 😀
@@MuffinLBaby 💕 Yaaaassss! Welcome to the 🔒Loc Club! And it's funny because when I was younger, I used to always wish I had a softer grade of hair, just to make my life much more easier. But thankfully, I got out of that mindset. Now I'm grateful and thankful for my rough, thick texture of hair because it's just perfect for locs.
OMG. thank you for this video! I'm one day post install and its so thin. I was on a mission to find a video to get an idea of when my texture would get a little thicker. Your locs gave me a little bit of hope hope.lol
💕 Aww!! Welcome to the Loc Life! And thank you so much for watching my video. Yes, girl, after your first wash, you will notice a little bit of thickening in your hair. After each month, your locs will slowly get thicker and thicker. The older locs get, the better they look. Just be patient, and your locs will flourish.
Thank you for these videos I have been researching sister Locs for the last 6 months and this is my first time seeing your videos. I’m not too far from Kennesaw do you still go to the same loctician?
🥰 Hey, girl, hey!! You're so very welcome. Thanks so much for watching!!! I'm officially 2 years Sisterlocked. And it's so funny that you asked me about my loctician. Yes, I still go to her. She's in Stockbridge. I'm actually going to see her this Saturday for my retie. But...this Saturday will be my very last appointment with her. Starting in February, I'll be doing my own reties. The reason why I'm going to start doing my own reties is because I'll be saving about $1,800 per year. My loctician charges $150 for reties on a 6-week schedule. I also want to be self-sufficient and depend on no one else but God. And like I mentioned earlier, I'm 2 years loc'd. So I've gotten to know my hair and what works for me, which makes me confident to do my own reties.
💕 Okay. That's what I've been hearing. Thanks, girl. But I've resorted to allowing my Loctician to wash my hair until my hair reaches maturity. Then I'll start doing it myself.

Yes, the struggle is definitely too real. 😩 I cannot wait for the day when I no longer have to do it. Oh, wow. Your shampoo mix sounds dope!
First wash day!! Ive been waiting for this 🎉🎉🎉
💕 Thanks, girl! Lol, I'm letting my Loctician wash my hair from now on.
New subscriber here. I'm in Georgia too. I just came across your channel today 01/31/2023. I'm going to my consultation today.
💕 I so appreciate you for subscribing to my channel! You're the sweetest. And like I said earlier, let me know how your consultation goes.

Thanks so much for the tips, girl! This was my very first wash day, so I definitely want my subsequent wash days to be much more seamless.

@@anishkajf thank you so much. I’m confident that it’ll look great now lol. All I’m worried about is the dry scalp
@@LoveLiveBee 💕 Be sure to oil your scalp. I use sweet almond oil on my scalp.

Bless your heart thanks for sharing!
