    You’re so pretty, love your locs! I’ll be 2 yrs in August, I recently started retwisting my hair for the same reason.

      🥰 Thanks, girl! And congrats on your almost-two-years! I actually went back to my Loctician. I couldn't do my own hair. I gave up. It was too, too much work. So now I no longer mind paying for the convenience of my appts being just 60 minutes long. 🙃🫤

      🥰 Me, too!! Check out Kendra Kenshay's page. She has a super-duper easy 2-point rotation video. That's how I learned.

    I don't blame you for going DIY. You just know it will not stay that price all year. Locticians like to keep upping pricing regularly.

      ❤️ Thanks so much for watching!! Here's an update, though: I decided to go back to my Loctician because it was too overwhelming!! What takes my Loctician just 60 minutes to complete would have taken me daaayyyysss. So I gave up and came to the conclusion that paying for the convenience of getting my hair professionally done in record time is totally worth it because I can go on about my day after an hour of sitting in her chair. I had myself stressed out retying just 5 locs before I threw down my loc tool. 🤣

      @@anishkajf Wow, 1 hour is fast!!!! Paying for less stress makes sense. Sisterlocs is seriously a lifestyle not just a hairstyle!

    Heyyy my sista!
    I stumbled upon ur page as i was researching sister locks.
    For a month or so ive been considering locking my hair, I've been struggling for yrs with growing my hair.
    Im a natural girl now and i just recently did another big chop on my dry 4c hair.
    Im soooo...tired of dealing with breakage and not retaining length that im now deciding to jus lock my hair.
    But now i have to let my hair grow in a little more, i love ur locks! Ur absolutely beautiful and i love ur bubbly personality!. And u have definitely convinced me to go ahead with it and im so excited about it!.
    Keep rocking QUEEN

      🥰 Aww!! Thanks, girl!! I'm so glad you found my Channel. I so appreciate your subscription. After what you've just shared, I think you made THE BEST decision to loc your hair. Hair flourishes & grows fast in a loc'd state. You won't ever have to worry about shedding hair because shed hair is trapped in the loc. Keep me posted on your journey.

    I’m 38 months Sisterloc’d and loving my journey. Retie price has gone up to $150 plus tip!! I want to self Retie also. My loctician can complete my Retie I’m 1.5 to 2 hrs. I’m hoping to try self Retie in Feb at my 6 wk schedule. I may go back to my loctician every 3-4 months. I brought my tool and mirror last summer but I didn’t want to mess my grid up. But I will be exploring unknown territory. I wish all of us luck with our new Retie exploration.

      🥰 Wow on your 38 months!! I'm sure yours are gorgeous!! I learned how to do mine from watching Kendra Kenshay's 2-point rotation video. You should check it out because it's soooo good. It's totally possible to do on your own. Just take your time and use your 3-way mirror, then it'll be impossible to mess up your grid. And yay to the both of us for saving $1,800+ a year!! 🥳😂

      🥰 Thanks so much! Yes, my loctician started me on the 6-week schedule. I'm gonna stick with that. And yes, it's very possible to do your own hair.

    I do my own reties too. We are 4 months apart in our journey. I will be 2 yrs at the end of May. You helped me to go ahead and get them. I've been with u since day 1 😅. I think we would like to see you do your first retie so that we can see your growth in doing it on your own and it will help encourage other ppl who want to start doing their own reties.

      🥰 OMG!! Your comment means the world to me!! I so appreciate your subscription and your support. Thanks so much for watching my videos. It warms my heart to know that you're well off into your loc journey!!
      And that's a good idea about filming my first retie. I'll have to heavily think about it. My mind will be so focused on keeping the parts clear & straight. Lol. But if you've been doing yours for a while, I know I can do it, too!! We saving money over here. Lol.
      But anyway, how are you liking your loc journey so far?

    • @JasmineJohnson2828
      @JasmineJohnson2828 6 місяців тому +1

      Yes Ma'am, saving money 😄. I love my locs. I comb my ends once a week to keep my curls because I love that look and I do the 4 point rotation to keep the shaft of my locs full. Coming up on this 2 yr mark, my hair has really filled out and is finally framing the shape of my face. My hair is also the same length as yrs. So it looks like yours with about 2 inches of loose curly hair on the ends. And my hair is 4A so Is have to retie every 4 weeks because it's soft at the roots and strands of hair will come out the locs causing me to have loose hair between the locs and I like a clean neat grid.

    • @anishkajf
      @anishkajf  6 місяців тому

      🥰 You have your routine down pat!!
      My hair is so nappy that it will never curl at the ends, lol. How long does it take you to finish your reties?
      Whew!! 4-points seems too complicated. But I know you're already used to the entry points. So I'ma just stick with the easy-peasy method with the 2-points. Plus, my hair is so thick, I can definitely get away with 2-points.
      I'm glad you're loving your journey. And my hair is doing the same thing with framing my face. That's why I LOVE my middle part.

      I have 2 toddlers so it's an all day process for me but if I don't get interrupted then it would take me about 4 to 5 hours.

    • @anishkajf
      @anishkajf  6 місяців тому

      🥰 4-5 hrs is not bad at all! This is one of the reasons why I'm so glad that my locs are a bit larger. Because it should not take me super-duper long.

  • @RobinNatural1

    Are these micro locs? They look bigger than the traditional SL’s. Beautiful.

    • @anishkajf
      @anishkajf  5 місяців тому +2

      🥰 Thank you! These are Sisterlocks. You're able to choose the size Sisterlocks you want. They have an official sizing chart. You don't always have to get the stringy, thin, itty-bitty size when it comes to Sisterlocks.

    • @dionehowell8687
      @dionehowell8687 3 місяці тому +1

      Really? I thought you had to have a certain amount to be classed as Sisterlocks. 🤷🏾‍♀️

    • @anishkajf
      @anishkajf  3 місяці тому

      👎🏽 Nope! Your loc count does not determine whether you have Sisterlocks or not. It's all about the particular Sisterlocks gridding pattern that you must have, and the unique technique that your Loctician must use when it comes to installing your locs that makes them officially Sisterlocks. The hairstyle is trademarked.

      @anishkajf  3 місяці тому +1

      ❤️ Hey, girl, hey!! I ended up going right back to my Loctician 7 weeks after I posted that video, lol. I didn't possess the patience to do it myself like I thought I did. So my appts are every other month with my Loc Lady. She gets me done in just 60 minutes. So I'm now at the point where I no longer mind paying the $150 for the convenience and her talented, professional hands. 🤷🏽‍♂️

      @@anishkajf yeah, I imagined that it’s a tedious and long task. I pay the same for a retie. Your Loctician is really good to finish in a hour. Mine takes about 3-4 hours. When I retie people, it takes me about the same too. Shame on me because I can do others but no patience for my own😅. I thought about doing it myself but girl🙅🏽‍♀️🙅🏽‍♀️🤣🤣
