Great tips! Delayed gratification is so powerful and very satisfying!
Thank you Sara
After spending 10 years of my life going nowhere, I would rather do the suck now in my early 30s and achieve a life worth living then having to struggle during retirement. Of course, when you are in the “Suck” you will need constant reminder like this videos weekly to keep reminding yourself why you are doing it. As it is extremely tough and will want to do things like your mate and just yolo. So being in this community is key 😊.
It’s like I wrote that John 😂
I'm trying to do the suck now. I started at age 46 (I'm 48 now). Of course, sometimes, I beat myself up for not knowing the things I know now 25 years ago. Nevertheless, I've learnt that when it comes to control our destiny as much as possible the thing that matters to most is the knowledge, practices and choices we make NOW. When we look at any clock, regardless of the time on it, it's always now, we are just changing our own perspectives in the eternal now....
A perfect perspective.
You can’t change your situation without changing yourself. That takes time. Most people will give up. That’s not you.
'Open Sesame! Ooh Yes😅😄👍
Knock and it shall be opened Xoriyo
All true. I wish someone had told my young self they could help my old self when I was a lad, now i'm the old self I'd like to tell my young self he's a selfish git and he's not helped me at all and I'm having to do it all mesen, selfish young t*** 😉.
The problem is time, when we're young the end seems so far away and we have plenty of time to sort out the saving & investing journey, then next time you look, it's getting less time between starting and ending that journey which translates into less time for it all to grow.
Hahaha so true Chris
You now have access to the private Facebook page btw mate
@@StupidIsTheNorm Cheers, I must admit I've been keeping off FB for the last year as it just sucks time away, I thought I might be better to spend that time doing something a bit more productive which I've been doing.
@kujouk yeah, when I ask people it does seem to be used less. Not sure of the actual stats as I only ask people my age 😂
Wonderful video again Perry. I think I would have done far more to embrace the suck if people, much like yourself, were offering cogent arguments around saving v investing money when I was younger. The sad thing is that even with all this knowledge, which is far more readily available, people still lack the foresight to even think about it, let alone draft a plan.
Keep grinding mate!
It’s true Vince.
I actually considered that point on Good Friday whilst parked outside a bookies watching locals drinking in bars at 1020 in the morning. It’s in next week’s video
The suck becomes the intolerable if you work in a bullying hellhole like Macclesfield hospital. It's tough just to find a job where you're not dehumanized and treated like a dog by illiterate sociopaths.
It’s definitely not easy mate. ‘Hard’ is the barrier that keeps the 90% out
@@StupidIsTheNorm Just got a job in A&E, much nicer ward than the others and a band higher. The game's afoot!
@thegeniusofthecrowd354 aha! Congratulations mate
