For everyone: you do not have to be amazing at full manual to do most bosses. If you can revo your basics and do your thresholds and ultimates yourself, that will be good enough for almost anything in game. Just plain practise is all it takes. PvME recommends just putting GConc at the front of your revo basics action bar, followed by Dragon’s Breath, Corruption Blast, Combust, Impact, Tuska’s Wrath, and Wrack. (Heck, they recommend GConc/Sonic Wave at the front of their Revo++ bar.) It definitely makes it require less input to do GConc->threshold/Igneous Omnipower/Guthix Staff EoF->basic if it wasn’t channeled->repeat rotations. This is especially true once you start learning proper Sunshine+adren pot/limitless rotations.

A breakdown of "use these spells and this is why" is kind of exactly what I need to start actually killing bosses higher up the totem pole than Vindicta.
cool guide but it still is confusing with what order I place abilities. should I just copy that long melee action bar? Things are a bit different looking on a phone for ability hotbars.
For mage, if you have gconc unlocked, it should be first on your bar, not corruption blast. Same goes for needle strike and decimate/cleave. These basic have pretty good dmg and are on short cd and needle strike/gconc can buff your next ablities. You want to use these basics asap
Unless you're full manual (or revo + actively using basics) you'll risk using Gconc/needle etc and then corruption shot or blast, effectively wasting the buff effect. Corruption is a bleed you want to have active (up time) as much as possible. The cooldown is long enough to where u'll be using needle strike/gconc as often as you can anyway.
@@ProtoxxGaming this may be true for range until you unlock grico but for mage i would have to completely disagree. You generally would use dbreath after gconc then go into corruption. Also, you should use hard hitting abilities with shorter cooldown first. This is why it's advised to use wild mage and aspyx before you omni in a sunshine. Near the end of you sunshine you'll have another chance to use both abilities. This won't be possible if you use omni power first since its on a longer cooldown.
When you added grico to the beginning of the bar compared to regular ricochet being further up, would you do the same with gchain compared to regular chain? Would it be better to gchain into thresholds or gchain into corruption blast?
Gchain into Gconc into Thresholds/Ultimates like Omni w/ Zuk Cape. There's a bug that makes Gconc not procc the Gchain effect but still give crit chance for the ability that comes after.
I would suggest moving snipe and the corruption abilities to somewhere one manual casts, as I see so many newer pvmers fail with them auto cast, canceling snipe and using corruption shot on single target when there are multiple targets. Otherwise, I must say great job! I hope this will help motivate people to give pvm a shot
I'd agree with you until we get the Enchanted Enhanced Nightmare Gauntlets, once we get them, I'd advise placing Snipe on the Second Ability Slot after Greater Dazing Shot. Now, I'm aware how my comment will come across but hear me out. If you will be using the New T95 Bow, then you'll probably be camping Splintering arrows, so it's always good to let Greater Dazing shot open your rotations so you can begin building Stacks, then, by having Snipe as your Second Ability, if you were to use something like Death Swiftness, you'll benefit from the Hit from Snipe, add the buffs the E.E.N.G's and you can basically kite with snipe, something that's quite hard on revolution. However, the general idea you gave is phenomenal, personally I'd advise using Grico as a Manual Ability rather than letting Revolution use it for you, because that way you can choose when's the best time to cast it. With the new bow, Grico with Caroming 4 will become an insane ability you'll definitely want to time perfectly yourself, so getting into the habit early will pay tenfold in the future .
Yeah it depends on what's on cooldown and how much adren you have. If I have spare adren with most thresholds on cooldown but basics up I will throw a dbow spec and rebuild adren with the basics for my next rotation
With relentless, adren pots and fury of the small (and whatever extra adren building) range is almost never struggling with adren and if you are you can use grico with hydrix bolts to hopefully give you a good boost of adren
Usually, it's used whenever you have the Adrenaline to justify using it. That's why people use Hydrix Bakriminel Bolts, the extra adren allows you to spam DB spec from your EOF. IIRC, if you're using it inside a Death Swiftness, then it's usually the second threshold you want to use after Snapshot or Shadow Tendrils.
I don't like the guide assumes we know the names of all the abilities and where they are (specifically for melee I can't find the arm being chopped off for instance) this makes it extremely confusing for beginners like me.
I'd advise reading the PVMe Website Magic DPM section. Keep in mind however, you want Gchain to precede a high hitting ability like Igneous Omnipower (with zuk cape) or Wild Magic. This can be pretty useful for Zuk Challenges, in both NM and HM.
Assuming you're using revolution for your basics: The un-buffed Wrack is the worst basic for Magic, so you either want to move it to the end of your bar or, if you have enough other basics to keep the GCD rolling, keep it off the bar entirely. You want to keybind it so you can activate it when you've got enough stacks for Wrack and Ruin, since then it becomes your most powerful basic. Keeping it off your revolution bar also means you can choose to save Wrack and Ruin for a GCD or two if you're going to have Sunshine available soon, without risking it automatically activating too early. Someone smarter than me can probably figure out how long it's worth holding on to in order to use it under Sunshine and there's probably some nuance to it because you're resetting a 12% damage buff to use it, but I'm not deep enough in the spreadsheets to figure that out.

For Mage: Planted Feet/Greater Sunshine, adren pot (immediately, adrenaline renewal is preferred)/limitless (once you’re at 30% adren), then rotate through GConc (ideally at the front of your action bar if doing revo basics)->Wild Magic/Asphyxiate/Igneous Cape-enhanced Omnipower/Blast Diffusion Boots-enhanced Detonate/Deep Impact/Guthix Staff spec->basic->repeat the GConc, big damage ability, etc. prioritizing Wild Magic and Asphyxiate, then Igneous Omnipower, then Detonate, then Deep Impact.
How do I do this for legacy mode?
lol, you don't, you just drown in nostalgia while bosses decimate you. Then complain about how pre eoc was the promised land and hate on jagex for adding mtx and yak track...
That's the legacy way for the average player.
In legacy mode I guess all you do is click the boss and occasionally use a special attack

Ring of vigour? How old is this?
I mention it being unlockable as a passive at the start. You still need to get it for it to become a passive not everyone has done the quest :)
Before unlocking the passive, it’s great to use actively!! Definitely a worthy tip
Sword shield must not ve a popular combination 😂
Thanks tea daddy
