I wouldn't mind living in Malaysia. Affordable Healthcare, grocery shopping wise cheap, affordable housing from apartments to houses. All of that here in the US is expensive! Living in Malaysia could be interesting.

Why are you so surprise?. even japanese people choose malaysia as no1 country to live outside of japan. We have the cheapest oil in south east asia, the cost of living is one of the cheapest in asia, even cheaper than indonesia, and our income is the third highest in south east asia after singapore and brunei. We malaysian who live here always underestimate our country because we dont live in other country beside our country.
Malay or the national language of Malaysia is easy to understand and learned by Filipinos.We have many similar words as what is used in Tagalog.Its too many to mention here.Take the iniative to learn Malay and you will feel at home here.

It’s mentioned in the Quran and I believe the bible too. That said, there’s quite a number of pondan or gay and we don’t persecute them as long as they don’t show it publicly or openly.

Regarding your point about the time difference of sunrise and sundown.. it's back to early 80's,our Malaysia prime minister that time standardized the time zone to UTC +8, to follow the East Malaysia standard time...so the whole nation would be in the same zone,also it was done to coordinated the administration, economy & operational time nationwide in same time zone. Could agree with your point though,since I am from the East Malaysia,and been here in Peninsular for a while the day & night time feel a bit extra an hour & longer..

LGBT is not acceptable in public in Malaysia both socially and legally. Do not ever publicise or show off you obtuse sexual preference. Do not be loud about it. However, Malaysians respect privacy , hence would not bother if your non-normal sexual desire are done privately and discretely.
Yes it’s still important to respect locals and not really show off sexual preference since in my observation Malaysia is still a conservative country. But I guess usually the worry is coming from news we heard back in PH for gay people in countries like in middle east that they are banned there. So they wish to know if they can enter MY even with their sexual preference. And you’re right Malaysian really respect privacy so we foreigners should do the same. I think it’s fine for LGBT as long as it’s discreet, right?

U can try on professional visa, it’s visa for expatriate with this visa u can work in Malaysia for 2 years, to extend the visa your employer need to apply it at immigration , u need to get Malaysian company to hire u first before you can apply this visa. Hope this will help🙏

You need to understand sis.. Malaysians don't encourage LGBTQ+.. We're not 'welcoming' them.. BUT if you are somehow a gay or a trans person, we are not discriminating you because of who you are.. Yes, LGBTQ movement is illegal here.. but LGBTQ persons can live here without any hassle as long as they not encourage their lifestyle to others. A 2013 Pew Research Center opinion survey showed that 86% of the Malaysian population believe homosexuality should not be accepted by society. Only 9% support homosexuality. Of course LGBTQ persons can come here, working here and enjoy living here with their LGBTQ partners as their wish, as long as they do not 'promote' their LGBTQ lifestyle to others.. Remember sis, NOBODY hate you because of who you are (gay & trans), but pleasee keep your lifestyle to yourself and don't encourage others.. Ok.. Hope this will answered some of your concerns.. There are nice apartments in Bangsar South or Bangsar or you can try Brickfields (Little India area) which has several apartments and walking distance to KL Sentral. Choose any apartment near the Kelana Jaya LRT line or MRT line, and it will go straight to KL Sentral. Also KL Sentral is the rail hub serving about 12 different rail networks. So you can live anywhere with a rail connection and it will get you to KL Sentral (the rail hub).

@@HoneysMYStories Gotta correct you on the "LGBTQ acceptance" - All 3 Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, Islam) considered the practice of LGBTQ as Sinful, and since you are in a Muslim majority country that has a Shariah laws applied in some extend, so No, don't promote Malaysia as country that accept LGBTQ because we don't, we just tolerated it as in Islam everything you do in your private home is up to you, but if it's in public then its subjected to the Shariah laws for the Muslims. Since Christianity ot Judaism doesn't have their specific laws apply for regarding LGBTQ in Malaysia thus they "seems" free to be LGBTQ but don't flaunt it ever as you never know for sure if they accept it or not. Btw, dress in modesty and not overly exposing your certain body parts, and no public sexual conducts is not subjected for just the LGBTQ group but applied everyone here in Malaysia, because we Asian don't normalized these behaviours in public for like ages. Imagine if rapist and pedophilias or those people that have sexual tendencies towards animals would also demands their "rights" like LGBTQ group and publicly doing the acts, it would be chaos. So never promote things that shouldn't be promote for Malaysia to others, there are other countries to go to if you want a specific LGBTQ friendly or public. To be honest, I'm quite surprised you would include LGBTQ in your list seeing that you're coming from the Philippines, which is one of the Catholics stronghold country. Always do your research properly before you touch on subjects that has religious sensitivity like this LBGTQ issues, and for that I would also suggest you to learn more about Hinduism and Buddhism in Malaysia so you don't projecting your own thoughts on their religious beliefs as well.

This is why... We are of the same roots. Philippines are actually from the Proto-Malay. Until the Spanish came to destroy, divide and ruled. Even the name of your country name after King Philip of Spain. There are so many proposal to change its name rather than using the conqueror's name since Philippines is already a sovereign country. It must reflect its people and its culture. Out of many suggestions, in 1962 Philippines almost been named as Malaysia. Filipino politicians also suggested adopting "Malaysia" the name for the country. A bill in the Senate was presented in 1962 to change the name of the Philippines to Malaysia. Even leaders of the nationalist movement of the modern state would adopt the name but the bill was in Congress. Think why the name Malaysia came-out, which means "Malay Land". President Macapagal concurred to it and he earlier he came and met our leaders to make Philippines and Malaysia together with Indonesia as one nation and adopt the name Malaysia as that one nation. Then Malay Peninsular adopt that name in 1965. As of today, the program, to make us into one nation is still on going. The program is called "Malphilindo". But not so popular among our leaders in Malaysia, Philippines and Indonesia. Countries like US, UK, EU and some others are against it too. That the reason not many people knows about it. To know why we should come as one nation also check-out studies on Austronesia. From Taiwan to New Zealand, then eastern to Hawaii and Western to Madagascar was once our empire until it was torn to pieces by the western imperialist power. They distribute our nation like marbles at child play among themselves. That is why I love the Filipinos and Indonesians like my own brothers and sisters.

@@BBMH80 it’s a sin in most major religions especially Islam and Christianity. Remember the story of Lot who’s known as nabi Lud in Islam? Read about him and what happened to his people. It’s mentioned in the Quran and I believe the bible too. That said, there’s quite a number of pondan or gay and we don’t persecute them as long as they don’t show it publicly or openly.

Regarding your point about the time difference of sunrise and sundown.. it's back to early 80's,our Malaysia prime minister that time standardized the time zone to UTC +8, to follow the East Malaysia standard time...so the whole nation would be in the same zone,also it was done to coordinated the administration, economy & operational time nationwide in same time zone.
Could agree with your point though,since I am from the East Malaysia,and been here in Peninsular for a while the day & night time feel a bit extra an hour & longer..

LGBT is not acceptable in public in Malaysia both socially and legally. Do not ever publicise or show off you obtuse sexual preference. Do not be loud about it. However, Malaysians respect privacy , hence would not bother if your non-normal sexual desire are done privately and discretely.
Yes it’s still important to respect locals and not really show off sexual preference since in my observation Malaysia is still a conservative country. But I guess usually the worry is coming from news we heard back in PH for gay people in countries like in middle east that they are banned there. So they wish to know if they can enter MY even with their sexual preference. And you’re right Malaysian really respect privacy so we foreigners should do the same. I think it’s fine for LGBT as long as it’s discreet, right?

U can try on professional visa, it’s visa for expatriate with this visa u can work in Malaysia for 2 years, to extend the visa your employer need to apply it at immigration , u need to get Malaysian company to hire u first before you can apply this visa. Hope this will help🙏

There are nice apartments in Bangsar South or Bangsar or you can try Brickfields (Little India area) which has several apartments and walking distance to KL Sentral. Choose any apartment near the Kelana Jaya LRT line or MRT line, and it will go straight to KL Sentral. Also KL Sentral is the rail hub serving about 12 different rail networks. So you can live anywhere with a rail connection and it will get you to KL Sentral (the rail hub).

@@HoneysMYStories Gotta correct you on the "LGBTQ acceptance" - All 3 Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, Islam) considered the practice of LGBTQ as Sinful, and since you are in a Muslim majority country that has a Shariah laws applied in some extend, so No, don't promote Malaysia as country that accept LGBTQ because we don't, we just tolerated it as in Islam everything you do in your private home is up to you, but if it's in public then its subjected to the Shariah laws for the Muslims. Since Christianity ot Judaism doesn't have their specific laws apply for regarding LGBTQ in Malaysia thus they "seems" free to be LGBTQ but don't flaunt it ever as you never know for sure if they accept it or not. Btw, dress in modesty and not overly exposing your certain body parts, and no public sexual conducts is not subjected for just the LGBTQ group but applied everyone here in Malaysia, because we Asian don't normalized these behaviours in public for like ages. Imagine if rapist and pedophilias or those people that have sexual tendencies towards animals would also demands their "rights" like LGBTQ group and publicly doing the acts, it would be chaos. So never promote things that shouldn't be promote for Malaysia to others, there are other countries to go to if you want a specific LGBTQ friendly or public.
To be honest, I'm quite surprised you would include LGBTQ in your list seeing that you're coming from the Philippines, which is one of the Catholics stronghold country. Always do your research properly before you touch on subjects that has religious sensitivity like this LBGTQ issues, and for that I would also suggest you to learn more about Hinduism and Buddhism in Malaysia so you don't projecting your own thoughts on their religious beliefs as well.

Our food is really really good and there are restaurants from almost all the different popular cuisines around the world since malaysia especially in KL is a melting pot of different races and cultures. As a Malaysian I can say it’s always a struggle to choose what to eat since there are so many different foods here. From malay,Chinese,Indian,Thailand,Arabic,Pakistani,Korean,Japanese ,western and so on

On the first 180 days, it’s mandatory 30% tax. If you’ll stay longer than that, you will be considered tax resident and will be eligible for tax refund which is usually in March-May. The regular tax for tax residents are 5-8% only

We are of the same roots. Philippines are actually from the Proto-Malay. Until the Spanish came to destroy, divide and ruled. Even the name of your country name after King Philip of Spain. There are so many proposal to change its name rather than using the conqueror's name since Philippines is already a sovereign country. It must reflect its people and its culture. Out of many suggestions, in 1962 Philippines almost been named as Malaysia. Filipino politicians also suggested adopting "Malaysia" the name for the country. A bill in the Senate was presented in 1962 to change the name of the Philippines to Malaysia. Even leaders of the nationalist movement of the modern state would adopt the name but the bill was in Congress.
Think why the name Malaysia came-out, which means "Malay Land". President Macapagal concurred to it and he earlier he came and met our leaders to make Philippines and Malaysia together with Indonesia as one nation and adopt the name Malaysia as that one nation. Then Malay Peninsular adopt that name in 1965. As of today, the program, to make us into one nation is still on going. The program is called "Malphilindo". But not so popular among our leaders in Malaysia, Philippines and Indonesia. Countries like US, UK, EU and some others are against it too. That the reason not many people knows about it. To know why we should come as one nation also check-out studies on Austronesia. From Taiwan to New Zealand, then eastern to Hawaii and Western to Madagascar was once our empire until it was torn to pieces by the western imperialist power. They distribute our nation like marbles at child play among themselves.
That is why I love the Filipinos and Indonesians like my own brothers and sisters.
