Cool bunch of guitars! I love the Nashville Strat/Tele-I’ve been wanting something like that for decades. And it’s double-bound! Be still my heart! And it’s about time they did an Electric XII in the Squier line. I’d be really interested in that, but I’ve already got a Mexican Electric XII from the Alternate Reality series that Fender did in 2019. The Squier XII is half the price I paid for the Fender, and used are going for $300 to $750 more that what I paid for mine. I’ve even seen one going for twice the original price, but I don’t know if it actually sold for that. Original price was $999, with a crappy gig bag. It took me a couple of years, but I finally found a Jazzmaster case that was long enough to accommodate the 12-string headstonck. A regular Jazzmaster case won’t fit. I got my case from Amazon-it’s a Crossrock hardshell. I don’t imagine the Squier XII will come with even a gig bag.

There might be "a school of thought" that removing a pickup allows strings to vibrate more freely, but sadly that school of thought is, like many things related to guitars and audio in general, not compatible with the physics behind how it all works. Pickup magnets only have a very negligible effect on string vibration, to the point where the force of you gripping the neck with your hand has a bigger impact than that.
Also, that 12-string sounds beautiful, but good lord the headstock. One of the biggest design mistakes Fender ever did, and here it is revived...

Fellas, you're not getting rosewood, from Fender, at these prices although if you hunt, you can find Squires with dark Laurel. (Squires with Dark Laurel sounds like a King Crimson album, but I digress). These all look terrific and quite reasonable at US prices. My only quibble is that the paranormality seems to dictate always missing the mark just slightly. Whether its a Strat body with the comfort of a Telecaster or a cool P90 short scale with an un-intonatable bridge, they always come sooooo close. Even Fender's official video says "...and they're easy to mod!" If you were making an entirely new concept, budget guitar, why would you double bind the body when a tummy cut would cut the labor in half? Still buying one, but curious.

I have an HB 25th anaversary TE that looks like that double bound strat. Same binding, same type of finish, except the HB is copper color. Plays beautifully and sounds great.

Stratosonics bear a striking resemblance to an Epiphone Coronet which has become highly collectible. Some claim the Coronet was the Epi version of an SG back in the '60s when Epi wasn't doing all the Gibson clones (although they were owned by Gibson). The clone/budget guitars came much later. Coronets share the same silhouette as Epiphone Wilshers. Coronets have been reissued at various times with different headstocks. There was a limited run of high-quality Coronets based closely on the /60s original at some point in the 2000s, I believe. So, Stratosonic was much closer to a Coronet than a hybrid of a Strat and Les Paul Special/Jr.

At this point, the fit and finish of Squiers are mostly better than Fender's mainline guitars, made in both Mexico and USA. Even the electronics are good enough for most players and for those who need different pickups, they'd be better served just upgrading a Squier.
