Happy New Year! Welcome to another monthly cross stitching stitching vlog! The new year started with lots of stitching plans for the year, and then mid month there was a huge plot twist....A surprise new puppy! This might slow my stitching down a bit so I'll see you when I see you!

Congratulations on the new puppy! Mary is adorable and definitely caught my cat's interest. The Mill Hill "Treats" kit is beautiful. I love all the beading. And of course, I especially enjoy seeing the snow scenes. Looks like 2024 is off to an interesting start - enjoy!

What a cutie! Love her name. My husband surprised me with a pug puppy about 20 years ago. I had no idea. Brinkley was his name. I had him for 15 years. It was like having a new born baby. I was exhausted.

Santa's treats turned out beautifully! Those bugle beads on the cookie just make the whole piece! ALSO i am so so so happy for you and your family... new pup! foreseeing lots of mill hill / in hand stitching in your future hehe (while Mary is napping of course)

@@calico_whimsy She's maturing. She's at the age now where she wants to listen, but doesn't. 😂 teenage years for a pup, I guess. But I love her to pieces and can't imagine my life without her, now.

Hi Christine, I love your vlog style ❤ Mary is beyond adorable! We adopted 2 kittens two years ago approximately 5 yrs after our last cat passed away at 19 yrs old. Young pets are a LOT of work, but also bring us so much joy! They are soooo worth it, sleepless nights and all, lol. Btw, you’ve inspired me to buy the peppermint MH kit, it looks beautiful with the addition of the beads. I stitched Mill Hill Winter Glow this winter, next winter I’ll be starting MH Frosty. Enjoy your pupper, and all photos/ videos are absolutely welcome ❤
Happy for you, I miss my dogs so much! I don’t mind seeing Mary and less stitching at all. I’m sure once she settles into family life the stitching will be back again. Enjoy every puppy minute xx

I’m so excited for you yay she’s the sweetest! My baby turned one just yesterday we’ve had him since last March. He’s a miniature American Shepherd so just a mini version of Mary. Enjoy!

@calico_whimsy two of the same, Fishing Vest. I actually stitched it 3 times. I went to FFO the second one and trimmed it too close. Oh well. Live and learn.

Oh please share pictures of Mary. She’s so cute. I had a blue Merle Australian Shepherd and she was the smartest dog. Abby was my constant companion. She passed in 2020 (horrible year). I now have an Aussiedoodle and he’s just as smart. I have books on Australian Shepherds that I could send you if you want them.
I'm so sorry you lost your Abby in 2020 when the year was bad enough already 💔 Mary's mom is a blue Merle and so pretty! When I have time to edit a video of her first week home, you will see some footage of her mom and dad ( a red tri )
