Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.
Felt your pain with the loss of that one! Looked like it had nowhere to turn taking so close to the rocks and opted to thrash.... Ouch. Great video as always!
Well helloooooooo matey and can’t believe ya lost that big un right and the end !!! That was a proper big bass…. !!!!!! Great when someone shares a great spot with you buddy and sure you will be back !!!! Cracking video Buddy 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽😀😀😀😀😀😀🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣
Nice video unlucky not to land anything yourself though. I had similar issues setting the hook on some bigger fish so I swapped trebles for barbless singles, this way on the strike you put pressure through one contact point rather than three. There's arguments for and against but seems to work for me. Tight lines enjoy the rest of the season!👍
Great video pal, I'm just about to start lure fishing so it's a bit expensive at the moment getting all the gear. If you could only buy 3 lures to start with what would they be, appreciate any advice, cheers 🍻
@@denisjolly9263 I’m no expert mate but if you want to save money a dexters wedge and a Toby is good. I’ve not really been doing it long enough to say what my favourites are yet. Maybe a topwater axia Vulcan, a Toby and something shallow diving like a hound glide
Lots of treble hooks don't always hold a big fish - fewer hooks are the way to go - more pressure on the hook point that then gets a purchase, easier to release as well. Have you tried single hooks on those same lures? I've lost big fish the same way. So frustrating. Interesting video as always. Try Coron with a fly - some perch, trout and occasional seatrout in there, if it's recovered from the pollution incident that is, pollution incidents are bloody everywhere.
That makes sense! I've never tried singles on this type of lure but find they work really well on single hooked soft baits like the savage gear sandeel. Pollution is sadly becoming all too common isnt it, thanks for watching!
Still caught em bud ,its on film , works for me lol how about the rest of you out there ? give a thumbs up . ive liked n subd you m8 bring em on ant from abba .
I would have been gutted myself losing that bass. Could you show more of the lures being used and would you be able put it up in writing please. Thanks for posting. Great vid. 👍

@@mattwebster7266 Sorry to hear about your health issues but i'm glad to know you still manage to get out there fishing once in a while. Good luck for your next trip!
If you’d like to catch bass from an accessible spot then Bangor Pier is somewhere to consider using lures or live bait. Barmouth bridge with some live sand eel would be good. You could also charter a boat out of Beaumaris. If your wheelchair is ok on hard sand then Dwygyfylchi or Penmaenmawr beaches could be good too. Do you have help and equipment needed? If not, let me know.
I think I have now found out howcto fish perch, last thursday I got my first ever (1 came off) and then saturday 2 more (1 came off and 1 follow) and now today I had 5 (3 came off) I am stoked!
That was super nice, not really the best you'd hope for waking up at 3 for 2 days in a row with no catch yet I'm sure you enjoyed yourself out there😂, probably the first Arab Egyptian to be commenting here. Going out to the sea in couple of days to give it a shot hopefully I have a better lukc than yours buddy 😂😂 Cheers.
Was fun but very tiring all those early starts, that one fish made it all worth while! Yeah i don't get too many egyptians in the comments, thanks for watching and good luck for your trip!
Different people have different reasons. In this case it's because I was out with a guide, who makes a living putting the hours into finding spots and taking people to them
Unlucky on those dropped bass. The inland sea is also a frustrating place to fish. You see and hear fish breaking the surface all about you and can't catch one🤐
It is really frustrating. So many sea trout jumping too just out of casting distance! Managed a bass from somewhere else the morning after this trip though so got another video coming out tomorrow hopefully 👍
I'm here reprimanding myself for laughing at your misfortune. It's because I feel for you losing those fish, especially after a great visual strike right at your feet. I'd probably be banging me head off the rocks.
@@adventurefishinguk love watching your videos but I think sometimes you need to calm your excitement and focus. Do you use a weight on your lure?
Usually just the jig head 👍
