I do believe that Native Americans have great teachings that we should listen to. If we followed many of their teachings we would have more peace and understanding about the world, especially the natural environment. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
All First Nations People, have wisdom in their teachings. It's unfortunate, so many of the young, are off the rails., causing trouble, everywhere. I've recently been asked advice from younger persons, that was very valid - they drove some 20 miles each way, just to ask if what they had been told to do with their plants, and the Garden enter Staff, confirmed my recommendations , which came back to me, from them, when they told me, "you didn't do it (x times). Along with related information. All over a corrupt individual, whose head-mind had been filled with mis-information, which resulted in myself being seriously damaged, on a lie, started by the local council staff, with police jumping in to ask me not to sue my assailants. Our world is being corrupted by narcassists and avarice, along with the wilting of compassion, and manners.

I remember when I was 13 I got Big Red Measles and also had double pneumonia. I told my mom just go away and let me die. She said not on my watch. I am now 71. Still up doing my own house keeping, taking care of all my bills, bank account, and my animals. And garden in season.

If your ceremonies weren't so powerful, than the white man wouldn't have been so afraid of them. Had you been taught or raised to lie like the white men who came upon you. They would have never known of the power within them. The white man gave lip service to God, the Great Spirit, had your people been the same they would not have hated or feared you and take your dances, prayers and traditions as nothing to worry about or be concern of. I pray that the knowledge, traditions and language will be brought back and encouraged to grow in your youth, to your elders in the future.
Getting the songs perfectly remembered is important. Look at the mess the Christian Bibles have become. The much-vaunted written Bibles are a perfect example. They are not all the same, and we know men of power meddled with the contents so that much is questionable. The songs are information and history, the tones are for memory, among other things. Keeping them the same, forever, ensures the information is not lost. 👍

natives should help other natives, there is only 5 million. we just simply need to unite so we arent broken and divided. its so simple, we need to unite all natives in arizona and help other natives to get there. natives need a laboratory for blood testing without government interference, natives are universal blood donors. we need to make a garden village to feed all natives with abundance. we need everyone to become independent with growing their own plants for food.

just curious. are the songs predetermined for the lodge based on what the ceremony is intended for (like singing Christmas carols on Christmas morning but not for Easter) or are they more of a spontaneous decision by the elders in the ceremony?
