Spoilers! While you wait for #ffxiv #endwalker relive some of the most tear-jerking moments throughout our journey so far. Let me know what your list is down below!
Thank you for acknowledging the Crystal Exarch as a separate character to G’raha Tia. That loss, albeit quite brief, still resonates with us and won’t fade over time.
If you played, or known SOMA before, you'll realized that even if we return G'raha with The Exarch memories. At least One of him, the real(original) Exarch died, forever stood tall on that tower. Makes this scene even better.
I feel you there me too! It was really hard to rank them… the only one I was certain of for me was #1… that scene destroyed me for like 30 minutes of full on crying. Some of the most beautiful dialogue ever written.
I literally went back to that moment, IRL I tried to get him to save his Strength I once again Screamed out his name, and the tears flowed free I WOULD HAVE MARRIED HIM
i'd make an argument for the aftermath of the sin eater attack in lakeland as well where lyna collapses and breaks down over not being able to save so many people. the va is so good, i cry every time i see it
The side stories in Ultima Thule are gut wrenching. The dragons whose brood was born in indistinguishible from the dead and screaming in pain, only to exist until someone put them out of their misery was horrifying.
I cried so hard over Emet’s defeat. His burden and loneliness are so immersive to the extent that I started to doubt myself, being the WoL, am doing the right thing.
To me I would have added the tale of Ardbert and their departure with Minfilia and F'lammin's reaction. maybe as well the scene of Spirit Ardbert on the docks walking to his compatriots. Both drew tears from me
#3 is the best for me. There's something about accompanying a young man, tell he done enough so he could take a rest after all the attempt that resonates with me.
Losing the Exarch was my biggest tear-jerker moment. I was holding my breath until we found out whether the experiment worked or not. Even though his time as the Exarch was over, he did catch a flash of him again. ;)
I'm still crying over him. We had to wait for so long to learn what was Happening to him after ARR, only to lose him again, this time for Sure, after a few Quests. :(
Tsuyu death and Wol and Gosetsu reaction should have been in there. It was far more emotional and talked about then the roof crush scene. People still post " Tsuyu deserved better"
@@Professor_Popo I hear you...it has a lot of impacts it makes you question your own morals and its emotional. If you are not one to forgive a enemy i can see it not impacting as much. But i just always looked at the human element of it and took the good and bad guy element out when i thought about her and her tragic past. Plus i always think what could have been if she wasn't also abused by the same bad people we fight against in the story. It really is sad all around for everyone involved.
@@morganwebb5244 Sorry I didn't include it on the list... I agree her whole story is tragic and twisted... she's evil but only because other evil made her that way. It's a very deep and complex journey for sure... and the juxtaposition between Tsuyu and Yotsuyu is beautifully done.
Also, I would add the sequence between Thancred, Minfilia, and Ryne as a Father, Mother, and daughter relationship from the time Minfilia gives Ryne her remaining ability to become the Oracle and Thancred acknowledging Ryne as being part of the family.
Haurchefant will never not get me. It's not just the scene itself but the whole entire context around it. He was already super kind and helpful during ARR and then took us in when we had no other place to go post ARR. The Fortemps basically adopted us and we helped out his brothers several times, it really made Ishgard feel like a home to me (especially since I coincidentally started the game as an Elezen dragoon and thus also already knew Estinien beforehand as well). Haurchefant himself is also just one of the most optimistic, loyal and friendly characters we had met, it was so easy to like him for his personality alone. Then having to tell his father about his death is almost even more heartbreaking than the death scene itself. It hurts when you encounter his brothers and talk to them and they reference him in regards to their own motivations in life. Then the full circle moment of his ghost appearing again to help you pull out the eyeball during Dragonsong. His father writing down the events of HW and his portrait being above the seat he used to occupy in Dragon Stone.. it's still the most impactful death to me because of how well crafted all these details around it were. Oh and then ofc the absolute emotional damage that is Dragonsong's Reprise
#5 hit me. SB was going okay so far and I did enjoy a few parts, but seeing those two…. God I couldn’t help but to tear up XD Honestly, they aren’t lovers, but damn their friendship is unmatched. I really love those two together as great friends #4 also hit me really hard. I was streaming and struggled in disbelief and I tried so hard to say please don’t say anything. You’re going to be fine. But my damn heart prevented it and just fumbled my words x.x While still live, I was at a halt and couldn’t move. I was legit crying losing him. I also normally talk when there aren’t any voices, but wow….. for the past few minutes, I couldn’t. I could only respond and jeez… I had to continue #6 didn’t hit me, but after that moment and realizing everything he had done… despite some acts were a bit too much, the reason behind it…. it was no malice. He lost a lot of things, too, and was also fighting for them. Then… I realized what a fantastic villain he was up to the point even going to EW, I just reflect back to Emet and remembered what he fought for. No spoilers for EW, but it’s something integrated my mind when we fought
I would say for me. It was the ending sequence of Endwalker from Alphinaud, Allisaie, and Y'shotla reviving our avatars from the Ragnorok to the ending credits when our Warriors of Light was recognized from finishing the Hydaelon/Zodiark Saga. Also, Shadowbridgers episode 2 when Ardbert appears to save us from the Light and becomes of the hero of the 1st, as we both fight together as one. I do not know if I was actually sobbing but more rooting for him and his comrades. These two, for me, were quite emotional of happy thoughts.
OK... No shame in admitting this is one of the videos I will never watch... Started getting misty eyed at the first one... Nope can't go through these again. How many times will we cry in end walker
I fucking lose it with the Crystal Exarch. Him asking to go on the next adventure just immediately has me going back to One Piece and to avoid spoilers for a 2 decades Manga the character while dying apologizes and wishes they could still go on more adventures with the crew.
One of my biggest tearful moments not in this video in ShB was when everyone was returning from Amaurot and walking across the bridge to the Crystarium, and the camera shifts from the Scions to Ardbert seeing his friends. I literally sobbed.
Yeah that's a heartbreaker too.. but I think the specific scene is played more for horror than tears. I wish you had a moment with Tesleen after the middle of Holminster Switch to reflect and take it all in.
I would say #7 always gets me the worst 💯💯...I miss my dog. A bonus one would have to be the end of the Weapons Trial Story in Werlyt...that ending was pretty gut wrenching as well.
the ending to the dragonsong war was definitely the saddest for me up until endwalker hit me with a truck of emotional damage at the end. Emet's ending was definitely up there too. I was surprised ysayle's sacrifice and moenbryda weren't on the list but I'm sure that it was a tough one to make
Really surprised the Chai's goodbye with Alphinaud wasn't in here. Very moving, lovely voice acting, and Dulia's everlasting love for the artist has moved people to tears.
I don't mind the placement simply because all of this scenes were really an emotional ride for me. I will not be surprised if there will be more added when EW hits early access tomorrow!
I swear that this game is the one who make me cry more. I made msq 5 times, and each time, each moment hits harder than before. Is the story, is the scenes, is the music. Everything in this game hits hard.
Whilst I understand all of them the one scene that cut me the deepest was not anyone’s death but when Ardbert lends us his axe just before Dying Gasp. Why? It speaks to me personally as my life is shit and I’ve been in a very dark place and the ONLY one who has stood by me is my father. He has stood by me thru thick and thin and would give his very life to ensure I have the strength to stand and fight and live. He is my hero.
from all of ShB, that send offhit hard indeed, but the moment the crystarium goes to battle and Lyna feeling like she failed made me tear up too. Everything past hades made me cry, and the final bit of 5.3 made me weep
Emet Selch is probably the only time in a Final Fantasy game where I cried because I killed the villain. Emet Selch was so cool T_T Top 3 Final Fantasy villains of all time for me.
Replace number 9 with Lyna when she can't fight anymore, with her "hale and hearty" monologue, and you're spot on. Also--Ardbert and Seto is #1. Legit can't watch that without a tear coming out of nowhere.
I dont feel like the niddhog scene really even belongs in top 10 the walk at the end of endwalker was a 1000 times more tear jerking and impactful especially to anyone who has been playing the game since the beginning
How does the Post Titan Scene Where the Scions of the Seventh Dawn are captured fair as a tear jerker... cause only one of those scenes was tear jerking... The Scene from ARR around level 35 that eventually leads you to Cid also for another one Tsuyu's True Death Scene is another one (unless you are blazing through the story skipping everything)
I didn't understand Number 3, who is he talking about? who isn't here to see the beautiful day? and why was elidibus looking like that dead warrior guy
3 scenes in Endwalker : SPOILERS !!! ... 1. When Vrtra and Estinien appear to save Matsya and the baby 2. The all Venat's POV during the Final Days in Amaurot, (it makes the dungeon even more emotional) and after, when she walks alongside with us... 3. When our Mommy/Goddess is vanishing as we hear Flow for the first time...
Sorry, but papalymos sacrifice will hit harder than harchedaunt any day of the week. I honestly dont see the hype around his death, wasnt really that sad to me
Spoilers! While you wait for #ffxiv #endwalker relive some of the most tear-jerking moments throughout our journey so far. Let me know what your list is down below!
I really think the Elidibus one was my Number one. For me I also had a really big soft spot for Emet-Selch. Those two just messed me up lol
Haurchefant's death is the saddest in my opinion.
#7 was the biggest one for me by far. I wasn't just crying, I was straight up sobbing.
I feel you there me too! It was really hard to rank them… the only one I was certain of for me was #1… that scene destroyed me for like 30 minutes of full on crying. Some of the most beautiful dialogue ever written.
SAME
I swear if I see Harchefaunt or Seto, I’m bawling. Those were my number one sad moments.
Edit: *Ugly crying sounds*
Please. I'm only on number 8 and I know that's numbers 1 and 2.
And just got to #7. Fail list :p
Gonna get hate for this but Harchefaunt part never made me cry, sad that he dead sure, but it was cutscene of Edmund after that break me.
I literally went back to that moment, IRL I tried to get him to save his Strength
I once again Screamed out his name, and the tears flowed free
I WOULD HAVE MARRIED HIM
i'd make an argument for the aftermath of the sin eater attack in lakeland as well where lyna collapses and breaks down over not being able to save so many people. the va is so good, i cry every time i see it
Oh god! Yes, that and Tesleen (though they play that moment a little more for horror I think).
That one got me good, genuinely had me tearing up.
The side stories in Ultima Thule are gut wrenching. The dragons whose brood was born in indistinguishible from the dead and screaming in pain, only to exist until someone put them out of their misery was horrifying.
Emet must be the most beloved "bad "guy in all gaming etc
Agreed.
That's the thing tho isn't it? The wasn't a villain.
I cried so hard over Emet’s defeat. His burden and loneliness are so immersive to the extent that I started to doubt myself, being the WoL, am doing the right thing.
Shadow bringers: good wishes and safety
Endwalkers: and i took that personally
To me I would have added the tale of Ardbert and their departure with Minfilia and F'lammin's reaction. maybe as well the scene of Spirit Ardbert on the docks walking to his compatriots. Both drew tears from me
Omg yes. They way her she just stops and slumps over is heartbreaking.
#3 is the best for me.
There's something about accompanying a young man, tell he done enough so he could take a rest after all the attempt that resonates with me.
I think the Haurchefant one will be the one that forever hit me the hardest. Though, I absolutely despised the death of Noraxia.
no 7 hit even harder if you have or used to have a pet IRL. It just give us a fantasy dialog between us and our pet
Losing the Exarch was my biggest tear-jerker moment. I was holding my breath until we found out whether the experiment worked or not.
Even though his time as the Exarch was over, he did catch a flash of him again. ;)
The lilt in Elidibus's voice when he says "see it" absolutely broke me
Lyna’s voice crack in “When it Rains” always gets me.
Lynas voice actress really nailed it, so good
Renda-Rae's quest line got me bawling by the end of it, but this is a good Top 10 regardless!
Thanks friend! It was a tough list to rank!
😢😭😢😭 even without the Voice Acting, the Music Alone is so perfectly on point. Cant immagine how often we will Cry in Endwalker.
Yes the music getss you where it hurts
How did you make out?
'Answers' always makes me cry T.T
Yotsuyu's story had me sobbing
Papalymo's loss still gets me. He was my favorite scion, and it hit me hard
Our small brother, he never gets the credit he deserves.
There is in Sharlyan a quest dedicated to him that also broke my heart.
I'm still crying over him. We had to wait for so long to learn what was Happening to him after ARR, only to lose him again, this time for Sure, after a few Quests. :(
Elidibus was my top one moment, I really love other characters more, like Ysayle is my favorite, but Elidibus got me crying for several minutes
Tsuyu death and Wol and Gosetsu reaction should have been in there. It was far more emotional and talked about then the roof crush scene. People still post " Tsuyu deserved better"
Definitely a sad moment... just didn't hit me as hard. I think the moment she see's her parents again and reverts back to Yotsuyu is a tough one too.
@@Professor_Popo I hear you...it has a lot of impacts it makes you question your own morals and its emotional. If you are not one to forgive a enemy i can see it not impacting as much. Probably because she *DIDN'T* 'deserve better.' No matter how tragic the backstory, by her end her bodycount far exceeded those of her tormentors.
Number 7 was the biggest tearjerker for me. Tearbringer doing it's best again.
Part of it is thanks to Seto's VA's delivery
#4 broke me. A smile better suits a hero.
#3 always gets me: “The rains have ceased, and we have been graced with another beautiful day. But you are not here to see it…”
really,papalimo nº 10?!?!?!??
dude I'm still touched by that and has been years
It was very hard to rank for sure!
Also, I would add the sequence between Thancred, Minfilia, and Ryne as a Father, Mother, and daughter relationship from the time Minfilia gives Ryne her remaining ability to become the Oracle and Thancred acknowledging Ryne as being part of the family.

Papalymo was the realest and I won’t tolerate further disrespect of the goat
I have been carrying a little Haurchefant minion around ever since I got him and I refuse to swap him. I fucking need him lol.

While it's not MSQ content, the end of Sorrow of Werlyt is right up there.
Agreed... forgot about that one!
Werlyt in general was a punch in the emotional gut
Every time I watch Heavensward #2, I tear up. Such a powerful moment in game.
The hardest part of this video is thinking these are feelings nobody could possibly understand without literally hundreds of hours of game play.
Well... you successfully managed to get all of the moments that hit me the most except for the "transformation" scene in ShB haha. Well done!

@@Professor_Popo Yeah, that would have broken me into pieces, honestly!
Ardbert and Seto. I well up, every time.
Lmaoo. Apparently 5.3 really fucked us up. Stay hydrated folks
EW SIDEQUEST SPOILER:
there’s a quest to deliver a sandwich to Papalymo’s father, and he thanks you
It is a beautiful little side quest.

Nanamo and rahuban scene was the first time this game made me cry..
Endwalker so rough it could get it’s own top 10.
Starting off with the biggest heartbreaker for me 😢
Am I the only one who trusted Papalymo in the end? I got back on the ship of my own volition, everyone I see on UA-cam had to get yeeted back into it.
Anytime answers starts playing I know something sad as hell about to happen
#10's second option: YEET
Number 8 is my number 1 up to the beginning of endwalker. Though, endwalker had me crying a lot.

Also--Ardbert and Seto is #1. Legit can't watch that without a tear coming out of nowhere.
I'm not crying again.. YOU'RE the ones crying again :'(
#5 tho...
Number 1 for me will always be visiting Seto to give him Ardbert's crystal.
All of the 5.3 cutscenes make me tear up
I didn't need to be ugly crying at work. but here we are
Number 8 was my number 1. I cried so damn hard and never had before or since 😂
Oh god. This was so hard to watch.... through my tears.
I can NEVER move past Harchefaunt's death.
I also have an unhealthy obsession over Estinien.
thanks for the video! i know where to go now when i want to cry :3.. and for me number 8 is the biggest one for me .... :((((((((((
I dont feel like the niddhog scene really even belongs in top 10 the walk at the end of endwalker was a 1000 times more tear jerking and impactful especially to anyone who has been playing the game since the beginning
MY HEART!
For me, Count Edmont mourning his son.
How does the Post Titan Scene Where the Scions of the Seventh Dawn are captured fair as a tear jerker... cause only one of those scenes was tear jerking... The Scene from ARR around level 35 that eventually leads you to Cid
also for another one Tsuyu's True Death Scene is another one (unless you are blazing through the story skipping everything)
I didn't understand Number 3, who is he talking about? who isn't here to see the beautiful day? and why was elidibus looking like that dead warrior guy
WE KILLED ALL OF ELIDIBUS'S FRIENDS MAN!!!
Aww... headpat at 36:53.
Ngl, i never cared about harchefaunt, when i saw his death i was like: "who was he again?"
and the list doesn't even include Endwalker :P
damn, ninja cutting onion...
The only ones that got me were # 8, #7, #6, OMG # 4, #2!!!
3 scenes in Endwalker : SPOILERS !!!
...
1. When Vrtra and Estinien appear to save Matsya and the baby
2. The all Venat's POV during the Final Days in Amaurot, (it makes the dungeon even more emotional) and after, when she walks alongside with us...
3. When our Mommy/Goddess is vanishing as we hear Flow for the first time...
Poor themis :(
#4 is not a tearjerker. I said it. Let the hate flow.
Sorry, but papalymos sacrifice will hit harder than harchedaunt any day of the week. I honestly dont see the hype around his death, wasnt really that sad to me
Can’t take this shit seriously with a Lala come on man
I thought after a year of playing this wouldn’t hit as bad as it did the first time, but nope *ugly crying sounds*
Layna... she did it for me the most. You knew all along that she loved G'raha Tia. It broke my heart to see her cry so. I really wanted to hug her.
i felt nothing when paplymo died lol
I object to number 6. Emet Sulk is just not worth it
Lala face expressions during cutscenes seem extremely ugly to me.
The game sucks. People are just idiots.
Pee pee poo poo you have bad opinion
I’m not crying. You’re crying. 🥹
