- Spent the last weekend over K'Gari / Fraser island for the annual fraser island clean up this was my first year going and I went with the caloundra 4wd club. over the weekend and all clubs that volunteered over 5 tonnes of rubbish was picked up. because i went over as a volunteer the sponsors covered the vehicle permits and camping, i only paid for a $10 deposit and $100 returned on the barge so it was nice and cheap to go over. If you live in QLD and have been wanting to go to fraser but havent had the chance yet, look for. local 4wd club or have a look at 4wd qld. it was my first time taking my new drone on a trip and i was so excited when i was able to get mint footage of the sharks and whale, i'm still learning on the drone so it's a little bumpy but i'll improve with time. it was also my first time going up ngkala rocks and th pajero smashed it! i had an absolute bast, i was nervous going up and a few cars in front had got stuck but by the time it was my go i had no worries. i've done big sandy at 5 Rocks plenty of times before and i feel like big sandy is a bit more of a challenge. Over all i had an amazing time and while over there was able to help out with the environment so it was a bonus. and im 1 week away from a little holiday to WA so stay tuned

Great that you have made it to Fraser and thank you for assisting with the clean up. As well as sharks and whales, we were lucky enough to see some huge turtles. Great video and yes I agree, it is your vehicle and you can do with it what you want. 😊

Excellent video as always looked like great adventure and time away. Pajero kicked ass. What were the tyre pressures you were running on island. Hope you gave the Pajero a good wash top and bottom to get rid of all the salt. Hose down engine bay as well as inside air box. Don’t be scared to wash alternator with water to clean sand and salt as well as aircon compressor. Basically wash everything as I am guessing you already did. 👏🙌
Thank you, she did very well I did 17psi on most of the island. And the paj got a very good wash I should have filmed the cleaning of the paj after fraser but washing the engine bay is one of the first things I did and my alternator as my alternator died on moreton after the water crossing I was going to make sure it was clean. Thanks for a great video and taking the time to show us all what the area has to offer. Although in the uk, I remember when we went over to the island just for the day on one of our Australian holidays. Unfortunately my brother-in-law was driving but it was a tame day driving up the west side of the island. The ship wreck brought back memories.
I am amazed how your GoPro performs on your dash. I assume you have got it in a special holder or is it the camera smoothing out the shots.
You have already got me looking for a new SatNav/Stereo consul for my 2013 Shogun / Pajero but please keep the video’s coming.

And yes I'm very surprised at how my gopro turns out, I just bought a glass suction adaptor and it just stits under mt mirror, I like the way the videos smooth but you can see the car bumping around the place
I am amazed at the GoPro. As you say, I saw the bonnet moving around and the view ahead was stationary. I have used the suction mount on the outside of the windscreen before and controlled the GoPro with a iPad inside using their App, but only on tarmac roads.

Hey Bia. Great footage. What dashcam/gimbal setup do you have?
I just use my gopro 9 and I have a suction connection for the window. The gopro 9 is good for 4wding as it has good stability control

Thanks, and no worries I sometimes talk to quick. Fraser Island was holding a special event so I only had to pay for the ferry and it included camping and permit. But this is only for people in the event, normally it's all separate and would cost a few hundred in total. But with the deal it was only $100 for me
