So I recently travelled to south america for a few weeks, and finally got to complete a life goal of mine which was to hike to machu picchu. I decided to do the salkantay trek that takes 5 days and covers over 75kms. Before starting the trek you need a few days in cusco to acclimatise so I spent 2 days before starting the hike.
The 1st day in custody, I decided to buy a SIM card for my phone so that I was able to have Wi-Fi.And communicate with people over WhatsApp and also spend a bit of time exploring around The Times Square.After that around about one p m I started a half day to which we visited quarter few places , including saqsaywaman, Q'enqo, Tambomchay, Pukapukara, Manos de le comunidad and Qorikancha.
All The tours and everything I did was through a company called salkantay trekking.So the half day that I did on the first day and the full day that I did on the second day , all was with this to a group , which I highly recommend they are a little bit more on the expensive side , but there definitely worth it for all the knowledge and information that they give you on these tours.
