    Diederick & Dame push hard to get the AC electrics finished, ready for Damon to finish off the DC side of the electrical system in a week or so. The guys power the boat up from the new generator and it works perfectly!
    Here is what happened over the final two days with Diederick. See the moment Brupeg starts up for the first time on a fully functioning AC electrical system.
    A big thank you to Diederick for making the 3,200km round trip to make sure Brupeg is ready for the next stage of the install.
    Cheers

    I love how every install is based on a hope, a prayer, and an very antipodean “yeah, she’ll be right” 😂

      "She'll be right" is the international Kiwi standard
      Along with "Sweet As" and "Chur"
      Doubly so, if a "Bro" is added

      I think if a kiwi ever approaches a DIY job and some aspect of ‘she’ll be right’ isn’t at play, he or she should immediately seek medical attention as that almost sounds terminal to our ears. Our thoughts and prayers would be with their family at that very difficult time.

    I am a little bit concerned that the controle box for the genset might be in the way when you try to install the "get-me-home" motor. I personally like every controle system on "eye-level"... anyway great job guys! And one more suggestion: "MORE sarcasm!" I totaly love it!!! 😀❤❤❤

      They will have a large case earth which will achieve the same thing. The case earth needs to be able to handle a full DC current discharge. The wiring diagram calls for it to be 120mm2 so it’s a massive cable. Biggest on the boat

    Up in the Pilot House where the Electrics box is being reconfigured, it appears that you changed the plan to mount the breakers on the DIN Rail inside the box on the aft wall of the box (the one sharing wall with the Saloon) and NOT on the swinging door to the box. Earlier on, you explained it is not a good idea to have cables that are constantly being flexed or moved by being placed on a swinging door. So your solution was to mount them on the aft wall of the box and not the swinging door. Then later on, it looks like the breakers and DIN rails have been mounted on the Door? I am confused. Did you change the plan? Are those breakers now permanently mounted to the "door" that is no longer able to swing open because it is screwed down to the wood underneath? Maybe this is just a small detail that will be fixed once everything else is squared away? I am so confused! LOL Great video I don't know how you are managing to keep all these plates spinning at once.
    Jerry

    • @ProjectBrupeg
      @ProjectBrupeg  3 місяці тому +2

      The breakers are solid mounted on the din rails which are on the alloy beams. The door is just a cover now. Hope that helps clear it up. Dame
