What a lovely video, I enjoyed every minute 😊 The viaducts really intrigue me. Love the old fashioned benches at the railway stations and the herons, thank for sharing your adventures 😊
Thank you so much Jilly, the aqueducts are so impressive - it's so odd to see a bridge with flowing water running over the top of a river and railway. 😊
Hello Jesse, Very nice hike in a wonderfully idyllic natural landscape! For me it was the first time I saw a bridge being built over a river for another watercourse, very interesting and impressive! This little ´Avoncliff Halt´ train station is very cute and picture perfect! The only unfortunate thing (from my point of view) is that this railway line has not been electrified, but maybe that will happen, or what do you think, my friend?! Have a nice week ahead! Many greetings from Deutschfeistritz (Graz area), Styria, AUSTRIA 🇦🇹, Christoph 😊👌🏞🛥🚋
Avoncliff is a very quaint little station and the aqueducts are really impressive - they're used to so the canal stays flat and can avoid having to use locks for large parts. Maybe the line will be electrified one day but it's expensive to do so and foot bridges have a habit of getting in the way, I guess the aqueducts might pose a bit of a problem too!
@@JessesGrandDaysOut Thank you very much for your friendly and honest answer between electrifiying the railway! Have a great weekend, my friend Jesse! 😊🤝
Thank you so much, I've only really recently discovered them - love how they're so picturesque and flat! I have a plan to visit the Bridgwater canal next year. So cool you get to actually use the canals with your boat 😊
This was a really good vlog Jessie. I dont know if I could walk all the way from Bath to Bradford On Avon. It did look like a lovely walk & something that I will have to do in sections at some point in the future. Was that really 3 herons or was it the same one playing a joke on you by appearing by the canal at various points. Lol. Nice to see that most of the path is quiet. 😊😊
Thanks Martin, I'm pretty sure they were 3 different heron's but you never know. One of the cyclists mentioned as I was filming the second one that it was the second one he'd seen 😁 It's really flat and easy going, apart from the initial slope in Bath it doesn't go up any hills - it's probably the easiest, most relaxing long distance walk I've done.
