Great watch Jesse, really Scenic! nice walk! thanks for sharing. Best wishes Darren👌👍👍
What a wonderful, colourful video. Glad you had a brilliant time & a not too packed train home. 10 out of 10 for promoting hot chocolate!
Thanks Faith, so much colour and light! Hot chocolate is the best way to finish an evening 😊
This was a fantastic vlog Jessie. It was nice to see your whole evening rather than just shots of the carnival floats. Your camera worked well in the low light i thought. The work that had gone into these floats was stunning. They must of took monthes to make. i am hoping to go to the one in The City Of Wells this Friday. It does look like an amazing night out. The fish n chips looked very tasty. Taking the train was a good ideal as car parking must of been a nightmare.
Thanks Martin, I cranked some settings in DaVinci Resolve for the worst effected bits but it couldn't fix the flickering lights (though the paid version might have been able to). Totally agree about how long it must take to put the carts together. Enjoy the Wells Carnival - I'm sure it'll be equally good 😊
@JessesGrandDaysOut I've also had the flickering problem with some of my videos when shooting led lights. I read it's something to do with the frame rate you are using. I usually film in 60fps. 👍👍
I've seen this too - only seemed to effect some carts (I film at 60 fps too)
Great Video Jesse, i can't go to these sort of things because of the crowds so thank you! i got to go after all! Best Wishes Darren.👍👍👍
Thank you so much Darren, I'm usually the same and avoid crowds wherever I can but I make an exception for this carnival. Though even then I head to spaces where there's more open space where I'm not boxed in.
Great video mate 👍 We should do a collab next year
Thank you so much (your one is as expected superior 😊). I'm so quiet in real life and probably wouldn't provide much value to a collab but I'm I'll definitely be back again next year (I've been for the last 3 years so at this point I'm calling it a tradition).
Another good video
Thanks Adji 😊
Loved this, so much work and effort gone into it, fish n chips looked so good 😊
Totally agree, I can't even imagine how long it takes to put the carts together. Cove West just do the best chips - so rare to see them open so late 😊
Curry & chips, yes please. It may have been windy, but what a wonderful day for a walk & vlog.
They smelled incredible, I couldn't resist 😁 It was so pleasant and the wind blew out the cobwebs 🤣
Nice walk Jesse and that kind of tunnel there on the beach looks very interesting and beautiful! You had wonderful weather there and the various beaches are very spectacular! Have a nice week my friend and thanks for your beautiful videos! 😊🏖☀
Thanks Christoph, I was very lucky with the weather on this day, the beaches were definitely looking their best, hope you have a nice week too Christoph! 😊
@@JessesGrandDaysOut Thanks Jesse; I'm looking forward to your next video! Do you ever come near the Bristol Health Center to film?! Have a nice day! 😇✌
If it's the one I'm thinking of it's in a shopping centre so very unlikely I'd film near there.
@@JessesGrandDaysOut Ah, I understand that! You could record a multiple episode of bus journeys throughout Bristol, what do you think of that idea Jesse?!
That was a nice little look around Barry. We visit a few times a year as my wife's sister lives there. Its a lovely place & they have done the seafront up nicely. I used to go to the Butlins there when i was a kid. The weather looked quite nice that day. 😊😊
It was a really nice day, the seafront is definitely looking very smart 😊
Lovely Vlog Jesse 👏👌👍
Thank you so much Darren 😊
I love Lydney harbour vist often x its changed a bit over the last few years now its been turned into a visitor centre thank you for your film x
Thank you for watching and your lovely comment. It was a really pleasant hour or so wandering around the harbour 😊
Severn Valley railway is a nice railway the old steam trains are a wonderfull xx
Thanks for the tip Jeanette, this does look like a nice railway with plenty to do around the stations too!
Nice video Jessie. Great to see some owls at the station. I need to check when events are on there as its only just down the road for us. The last time we went on the train there was in Jan 1994 for the santa special.
Thanks Martin, It's pretty much the same events every year - there's a few more this year still including the Santa Specials. They usually release their event schedule by February each year 😊
What a fantastic day out. The trains & the owls were amazing. Looking forward to seeing more hot chocolates & BLT's!
Oh, I'm sure there will be plenty more hot chocolates and BLTs 😁
Oh! I loved the Warmley Waiting Room and the Warmley signal box when I visited. Thanks for showing us! Your BLT and hot chocolate looked lovely! Looks like a really nice event at Bitton. A good combination of trains and owls.
The Warmley Waiting Room is a firm favourite of mine hehe 😊 The owls were lovely!
Hi Jesse, Very nice shot of Avon Valley Railway station and this interesting Pitcombe Rock Falconry exhibition, all in lovely sunshine! Have a great week, my friend! 🙂
It was a very nice day - it's been a mild autumn so far here, hope you have a great week too Christoph! 😊
@@JessesGrandDaysOut Thank you very much, Jesse. 🙂
Great Vlog there Jesse and very Wise of you to film the Owls 😁😁😁i am going to try and visit the Railway next year, thanks for sharing, Best wishes Darren.
hehe, the owls are very wise - they're always worth a visit. If you want to see the trains they run most weekends with some extra weekdays during the school holidays.
@@JessesGrandDaysOut thanks for the info Jesse, i appreciate it!
Good to be back on the Avon Valley Railway again Jesse. Lovely tour here, and great to see the 'It's A Hoot Event' at the AVR. Take care, Paul
Thanks Paul, I always enjoy popping in and they have so many events throughout the year
Lydney looks lovely. I dont think we've ever been there but will have to visit now. Thanks for showing us around Jessie. 😊
Thanks Martin, the harbour is particularly lovely 😊
Great video Jesse. You can't beat the sight & sound of steam engine. You certainly like a challenge, wanting to do all the stations, that will take some planning. Good luck with your plans.
Oh, absolutely - there's nothing quite like steam for sound, sight and smell 😊 I'll be getting out my spreadsheets 😁
Good vid again jesse
Thank you so much Adji 😊
Hello Jesse, That is a very beautiful and very informative video; brilliant idea to visit and film all the train stations and heritage stations in Great Britain 🇬🇧! Very nice shot of the electric railcar passing by from the bridge! Have a nice Monday evening and I'm looking forward to seeing you show us more of the train stations in England and the UK! Many greetings from Deutschfeistritz, Styria along the Übelbacherrailway 🇦🇹, Christoph 😀👌🚋🚉
Thanks Christoph, I may not succeed but it'll be fun trying and exploring places I haven't been to yet 😊 Hope you're having a nice Monday too!
@@JessesGrandDaysOut You're welcome Jesse, I'm looking forward to your trips to various train stations and their towns! It was a lovely Monday and Tuesday! I hope you have a nice Wednesday today! 😀👋
Good luck with your plan Jesse!
Thank you s o much Fee 😊
Wonderful video Jesse! That's a place I know well, of course from both my canals and railways series. Glad you got a good hot chocolate from there by the harbour. If you go back Lydney any time, there is a lovely lake near to St. Mary's Church, and also a wonderful park - also with its own cafe. All the best with your ticking off all of the UK Stations project - wow! That's a lot of area to cover. I remember Geoff & Vicki's 'All The Stations'' project from a few years ago too - really interesting. Well done, Paul
Ooh! I discovered a boating lake and saw a church in the distance - good reasons to return 😊 Thanks Paul - no idea how far I'll get but I'll have fun trying , yes I'm re-watching All The Stations at the moment, such a fun video series 😁
I think this small funfair & it's smaller crowds is more to my liking, but there is still a lot of screaming! Lovely autumn colours in those trees.
They had a couple of large rides there which were causing most of the screams, nice selection of tamer rides too though 😊
I really enjoyed this Jesse!! I love travelling by train, but have never been on that line, so it was nice to see it. Thats such a good idea to try and get to every station in the country! It will definately keep you busy! That hot chocolate looked amazing!! (as did the drizzle cake!) Loved listening to and watching the steam engine at Lydney Junction. It looks a really lovely station.
Thanks Louise, I really want to ride it now - it's just a short little line but the name makes me think it must be quite a picturesque route. There's so many stations (well over 2,000) - many of them around here which have little walking routes around them. All The Stations went through many of them so will be cool to see as many of them as I can close up 😊
Great video Jesse, Lydney harbour looked really picturesque and the train looked really interesting 👍 on my bucket list now, thank you for sharing, great stuff 😀
Lydney Harbour really surprised me - it was so industrial around the station but the road opened out into this really rather lovely spot 😊
Some colourful & unique looking rides there Jessie. 😊
I've seen most of them around but the super bowl one was super new to me! 😊
Edward danters funfair done most of the bigger machines there haven’t ridden oxygen yet but have done denzil danters speed which is the same ride get some great views on them
Oxygen looked so tall! Agree - the views must be spectacular on rides like this!
That was a joy to watch & you really seemed to enjoy it. Bath is such a beautiful city.
Thank you so much Faith, Bath is one of my favourite places to visit and it seemed to put on it's best coat at the weekend 🥰
Hello Jesse, A very detailed and beautiful video from Bath and wow, all I can say is no wonder these are the most popular Instagram places to post from Bath, they are awesome! But the view from this Alexandra Park viewpoint down to the city of Bath and the train pulling perfectly into the station just as you started filming were two highlights of your video for me! Many greetings from Deutschfeistritz, Styria 🇦🇹, Christoph 😊🚋👌🏙
The Alexandra Park Viewpoint may have been the whole reason I made the video, I spent a fair amount of time up there 😊
@@JessesGrandDaysOut Are you in the city of Bath often, Jesse? Are you taking the train to come there, if I may ask?! The Alexandra Park Viewpoint is truly breathtaking and I can see why you love hiking up there! Have a nice evening, my friend from beautiful Bristol GB! 😉🚂🤝
I'm to the very East of Bristol so it's only a short-ish bus ride into Bath for me, but it's one of my favourite places, visiting the other day reminded me how much I love the place so will be visiting more often now 🥰
@@JessesGrandDaysOut Cool, I think my girlfriend lives near the big health center in the centre of Bristol; is it very mountainous east of Bristol where you live, Jesse? Wouldn't it be nicer to take the train?! Will you be filming the city of Bath for UA-cam more often in the future? 🤗👋🚃
It's hilly rather than mountainous around here. Train is more comfortable and is only option in the evening but during the day it's easier to get the bus - to get the train I'd need to head back into town and then back out again whereas the bus is more straightforward and cheaper. 😊 Lots of plans for more videos from Bath though!
Great video mate 👍 I really need to check out Bath.
Thanks Ant, Bath is really worth a visit 😊
Great Vlog Jess, really enjoyed this one! thank you! Best Wishes Darren👌👍👍👍
Thank you so much Darren 😊
That bit on the K&A Canal in Sydney Gardens is a real favourite of mine. I can spend ages walking around there with my camera - a superb place for street photography. Great video Jesse - really enjoyed this. The one place that I have never been to is Beecham Cliff - so thank you for showing that - I must check that out next time I am there. I absolutely love The Circus and prefer it to The Royal Crescent - smaller, and perfectly formed I always feel. You've just reminded me that I need to do the Skyline Walk too! Hope you have a fab week. Take care, Paul
Thank you so much Paul, the viewpoint from Alexandra Park was so worth the climb - the handrails on the steps are very appreciated 😊 The skyline walk is beautiful too - I did it a few years ago but would love to do it again, it's definitley one for nice weather though 😁
Fabulous video Jesse!! I love the idea of looking for the most instagramable shots too and your photos really nice!
Thank you so much Louise - I'd seen photos of the Alexandra Park Viewpoint and wanted an excuse to make it into a video 😁
This qas great Jessie. You covered some of our favourite locations in Bath. The botanical gardens, Sydney gardens & Beechan Cliff are our favourites. That must of been quite a walk visiting all those locations. All those steps up to Beecham Cliff is a walk in itself. The still pics you took were lovely. 😊😊
Thank you so much Martin, the Alexandra Park Viewpoint is definitely worth the steps 😊
Good video jesse
Thank you so much Adji 😊
Great Video Jess, such lovely scenery, i love the Abbey, i have not been in a while, i think thats on my list now. thanks for sharing. best wishes Darren.👌👍👍
I adore the abbey - I must revisit the grounds soon as it's always a pleasure to go around 😊
Barry Island 🏝️ The fun park looks a lot less scary than Bridgewater's! A few rides I'd be tempted to try 😂 Was Dr Who or Torchwood filmed there?
I'm the same, although the parks biggest rides weren't there when I was there. Doctor Who filmed an episode nearby at one point though the area is more well known for Gavin & Stacey.
@@JessesGrandDaysOut never watched gavin and stacy
That's me decided.. terra firma from now on... It always has been 😂😂😂
I tend to stick to the ground too - though I do get tempted by the smaller rides from time to time. 😊
@JessesGrandDaysOut a man who feels the same way.... gentler, the better 😂
That was amazing looked too good to be real how much detail there was
The artists are so talented - my sandcastles are embarrassed in comparison 🙂
Love Barry island as it’s our local fair looks so empty down the one end without top scan and aerospace there’s a video on my channel I took a few weeks ago if you want to see where the rides normally are also got some on ride footage
It definitely feels empty at one end, though the fair as a whole was bigger than I was expecting - I'll check out your video 😊
@@JessesGrandDaysOut yeah it’s a decent size with plenty of rides thank you I’ve subscribed to you . You got some good videos
Wow, barry island Jess, brilliant, I haven't been there for years 👍👍👍👍
It's the first time I've been, was fab to look around 😊
The last time I was there the ghost train broke down whilst I was on it.🤣
Oh no - a real ghost was at work 🤣
@@JessesGrandDaysOut 😂😂😂 might of been
I think I your video is more appealing to me than the fair itself. They are a bit noisy & crowded for me. Thanks Jesse.
I like the atmosphere of fairs but do find them a little too loud too 😊
Fairground is a dump nowadays and the owner cant be arsed to sort it out as he rather disturb the peace of dying children to selfishly build a so called holiday park. Cos the mans only interest in money
Ah! Nice to see Barry Island fair again! I used to love going there as a child. I remember the log flume well, but there were no dryers in those days!
A helpful new addition 😁
It's not a bad little fair in Barry. Loved the pirates & the log flume dryer was a good idea. I used to goto Barry when I was a child & we would stay at the Butlins holiday camp which was on the hill just up the hill from the fair. It's now a housing estate. 😊
Me too - I thought the dryers were a nice touch. I walked around Barry Island earlier in the day - there's an information board talking about the Butlins on the site, it's a shame it's now housing though.
Hi, many thanks for sharing! Some amazing sculputres and other artifacts. There is a art trail at Cockington Country Park, Torbay... there are some amazing pieces on display
Ooh! Thanks for the recommendation Stephen, I'll have to check Cockington Country Park out 😊
That was a great tour around Portishead. They went big on the sculptures.
They really did - lots of fun exploring and finding them! 😊
