Danny needs a flat head shovel. That would have been easy to get the sod out. I found out it’s not so easy to pick up dog poop. My husband broke the handle on our round shovel. So he brought out the flat head one. I’m the one who cleans up the backyard. I love your fire pit. We had one at our old house. But we have burn restrictions where we live now. It’s all trees. Plus, the bugs here are ridiculous. We have pea gravel in our backyard. How many pebbles got in your Croc’s? When I walk in my backyard I get rocks in mine all the time. Those chairs are nice. The whole set up is great. I like how the whole fire pit is enclosed. I like how it opens to roast marshmallows and make s’mores.

Yes, this was definitely filmed before surgery. I PROMISE I am resting and taking care of myself. I am feeling better every day and I believe that is because I have been spending 75-85% of my time doing literally nothing.

I have them!! 2 and they work great!
Maybe I'm the only one but I would choose any other chair over an Adirondack chair. They are so awkward to me. You can't even take a sip from a drink without having to lean forward. They look great, but dang, they are not my first choice for chillaxing chairs. Also, I hate to say it, but you might regret not using a thick weed barrier under the gravel. I mean, weeding isn't that big of a deal, but I think you missed an opportunity to prevent more work for yourselves. Also, you can actually buy a gravel glue for your gravel. It will lock it into place to prevent it from thinning and scuffing in places. I highly recommend trying it out.
Totally understand your opinion. I didn't think Adirondack chairs are the most comfortable chair in the world. But since I have been recovering at home, I have sat in them every day for the last 4 days and they are amazing. Even better to nap in. The foot rest makes all the difference. And I hear you about the weed barrier. I really don't like it. That's my personal preference. But you are more than happy to use it in your space!

@@CharlotteGroveFarmhouse I was yelling at you, too! You're lucky. I had 6 laparoscopic incisions, and a cervical cuff. My inside stitches didn't even dissolve like they should have, so I had an extra month tacked onto my full recovery. That left me with a full 12 week recovery. I went bonkers. 🤪

I was simply reminding you and others that I pre-filmed content and I would not be out shoveling gravel a week after major surgery.
Curious why you chose the front yard instead of the back? And why only 2 chairs? Just thinking pulling other chairs over plus moving the firepit every time would get tiresome.
Hi Erin! Thanks for watching! We chose the front yard instead of the back because I wanted something in this corner and I LOVE looking at the front of the house. Right now we only have 2 chairs because I didn't feel it was appropriate for me to ask the brand to give me more, but we will be purchasing more. That's why the space is bigger.
