- In DDP's premiere episode, World Series champion Eric Hosmer announces his retirement after 13 seasons in Major League Baseball. Hosmer also holds 4 Gold Gloves, a Silver Slugger, and a World Baseball Classic championship with team USA. Additionally, Hosmer reveals his next chapter, as he teams up with his former minor league Kansas City Royals teammate, Anthony Seratelli, to launch an MLB player-owned media company focused on authentic sports storytelling; from podcasts to original unscripted documentaries, MoonBall Media is ready to hit the ground running.
The duo are joined by Justin Su'a, a renowned Process & Development Coach familiar with big league clubhouses and NFL sidelines, as a former mental skills sharpener for organizations like the Tampa Bay Rays, Boston Red Sox, Cleveland Browns, and WWE. Su'a will be a mainstay on the show alongside Hosmer.
This first episode of Diggin' Deep delves into the the decision behind Hosmer's farewell to baseball, how he linked up with Su'a, and some stories from Hosmer and Seratelli's playing days.
The first episode discusses some big names in MLB, like Salvador Perez, and NFL, like Saquon Barkley of the New York Giants...plus, the mental aspect of journeying through the MLB system, and Justin Su'a's approach to working with elite athletes across the sports spectrum.

When is the movie about the Kansas City Royals run in 2014-2015? That is a story for the BIG screen! Those runs in 2014-2015 ignited a city… gave meaning to life more than many will understand. I was in a super dark place mentally in 2014-15, and those seasons were special. They were different… different than this magical KC Chiefs run. Yes the Chiefs are special AND there was something about that Royals team. I keep saying “something” because it was real. We all felt it. Whether it was the playfulness of Salvy, razing Lo Cain, that’s what speed do with Dyson, Hosmer’s clutch hits, Moose’s legendary throws, Gordon’s consistency, and the legendary HDH (and so much more). It was the most magical time in KC history. I believe it truly ignited the way for the Chiefs…. Thank you Hoz, and Anthony! Energized to see what magic you bring forth! 😉💜🙌🏼🙏💫✨

I was 2 when the royals won the series in '85. Been taking my kids to the K since they were in diapers. That playoff run in 2014 was the most fun we've ever had watching baseball. My god that was exciting. Kelvin in the 8th then holland in the 9th. All of you guys. gordon, salvy, locain, moose, hos. What a team. I still get goosebumps watching highlights from those games.

Actually got to meet Hoz and shake his hand in Vegas over Super Bowl weekend at Circa, he was very gracious, and I was excited to have the opportunity to Thank him for all he did for the Royals. Hosmer, your career is like a time capsule for me. I was on a high school field when I learned of you getting called up. You were somebody to look up to for youth in the KC area. I was the one wearing #35 on my teams. Now, I'm into my fourth year of coaching high school ball, and look forward to good content on this podcast to pass along to aspiring baseball players. I'm ready to buy a ticket for your ceremony at Kauffman.
