Hello I'm sorry to disturb you I wanted to use a sentence in my research paper The main method of the human brain is what it tells it what to do May I know your opinion, do you think it is special? Nazhin Khamanzadeh
First, you have to accept where you are. You are where you are. Treat yourself with compassion. To stop the “addiction” to cortisol, adrenaline, and the cascade of events that happen, you need to learn how to be mindful. Living in a way that supports your nervous system (the HPA axis, limbic system) and find ways to be in parasympathetic nervous system mode (rest/digest) more than sympathetic nervous system (fight/flight etc). Bookend your days with calming habits. I started by doing a 5 min yoga every morning. You could do a 5 min meditation too. Whatever you start the day with, sets the tone for your day. If you start with news, social media, email, those all trigger your sympathetic nervous system. This causes more issues. I also do a midday yoga & I end my day with a 10 minute sleep meditation. How we end our day, influences our sleep quality so much. Sleep hygiene has to be on point. Do an inventory of everything that adds stress, from who you interact with, to your thought patterns, to the shows you watch, to the food you eat. Pick things that are supportive to your nervous system being calm and healing. It works! It is an undoing of many habitual patterns that create less than ideal situation for a healthy body, mind. I’ve changed my whole life & it is so worth it. I used to be an RN and really connected the dots to my patients diseases and stressors (from childhood dynamics, ACE’s study, to ongoing behaviors that lead to inflammation and being unwell). I had to do a rigorous self inventory, with grace, to evaluate my goals, my health, and how I needed to be kinder in all I do. I show up for myself like I would a small child, or a pet, and it is so revolutionary. I’m now pursuing a degree in neuroscience, due to all my past experiences, and connecting the dots. I want to help others to empower themselves, and prevent many diseases, and suffering. You can reverse much of the damage. Show up today, for you, for your highest level of well being! I wish you healing and peace 💫

But how do you fix the brain damaged by sustained high cortisol, reverse diabetes and improve cognition?😢
