So despite the fact that Black Lightning Season 3 isn't scheduled to release until October of 2019, let us do some early thinking about the future of the Markovian war and the future of a lot of people's favorite character Pain Killer. We are expecting Pain Killer's return in Black Lightning Season 3 due to what we saw in the ending of the second season. My favorite anti hero on Black Lightning tv show
I'm looking forward to season three because I don't know what to expect. I enjoyed season one. Season two felt scattered. IMO season two didn't merge social commentary and heroics as smoothly as season one. The ending scene of season two with Agent Odell recruiting the Pierce family was really good. I think it sets the tone for more metahuman or magic sequences. I DON'T want to see Static yet. We already have two electrified characters in Black Lightning and Lightning. No more for season three. I wanna see the Pierce family's powers mature. I wanna see them TRAINED by Agent Odell. (He's got more resources and a bigger facility than Gambi.) I'm interested in ,Issa, the kid who draws the truth out of people. I'm anxious to see what they do with Lala (Tattoo Man). I wanna see The Pierces, Khalil, Tattoo Man, Issa, and Wendy fight Markovian metas. I want Tobias and Black Lightning to have separate adversaries this coming season.
underablackgaze I agree but A LOT of people have messaged me about staic shock. But I can agree season two did feel a little scattered but I think they were trying to introduce a lot of things to follow back up with them later. We can almost be sure that Khalil will be fighting alongside the Pierce family as well but also Tobias will definitely have his own worries.
@@AlternativeFactuals I understand people want to see Static but I don't think the show has explored Black Lightning or Lightning's powers enough where they should introduce another meta with electric powers. (Sorry, but BORING!!) I like diversity. I wanna see black metas, scientists, or sorcerers that can do DIFFERENT things. Sometimes giving comic fans what they want DOESN'T pay off. People didn't LOVE Batman vs Superman or Justice League but they ASKED for it. Trust. Everyone would rather see good storytelling with established characters than to throw in a beloved character with a weak-ass narrative. All I'm saying is be careful what you ask for because you may not like how it's presented to you.
I agree 100% storytelling is what really draw people into a show, it can have the most basic of characters but if you write the correctly they can easily become fan favorites. I am hoping Tobias will seek non-conventional means of achieve power aka Magic or other dimensional energy in the future.
@@AlternativeFactuals I'd definitely be down for that. I think they opened the door to magic or alchemy by introducing us to the man who brought Lala back to life. Interesting for sure. 👍

There is going to be a lot going on, so it shouldn't be too many slow moments in the story for season 3

Honestly bringing back Khalil after he died made me kind of upset, but it kinda grew on me, but making him kill his moms was too far for me so now I’m in a weird spot with Khalil’s return and character now
His character is closer to how he is in the comics. He was ruthless and cold blooded. I like it, I knew Khalil wasn’t dead once they brought in the ASA when he was perceived to be dying.
I hope painkiller return has antihero in season 3 of black lightning

Jordan Calloway describes him as an antihero during his season 3 interviews. They gave us a taste of it season 2 so I'm guessing they're gonna roll with that. He'll probably just be darker
I can't wait for season 3 to premier, and honestly I had forgotten that ASA (or at least Agent Odell) had Kalil and the other meta-humans on ice til you brought it up. I think the ASA will use them as kind of like a (forgive the Marvel refence here but it fits) sort of deathlok program/final-solution for the meta-human "crisis" and either be the main antagonist of the second halve of season 3 or the plot of season 4. As far as Static Shock, I would to see a live action version (provided they actually do it justice and not just throw something together), but I don't that will happen any time soon as think they are still fighting over who has the rights to the character. If we do get anyone from the "Dakota-verse" it'll probably be Icon and Rocket as DC has used them (although mostly poorly) in their main universe.
Johnathan Jackson I can agree with you on that one they do have him in a way that he’s like kind of appeared to be a DC’s version of death lock. Someone who’s always just around when you need them but never really focused on too often.
I hate that his memory might be wiped but the actors keep saying he's different so most likely that's where they're headed. I'm guessing his memory will start to come back throughout the season. As for Static, I'm not ready to see him just yet. Probably season 4 if we get one, but I want to focus on the family and how they deal with all of the changes that are coming
Yeah it is waaaaay too early to see static, but since his character has literally only appeared twice in DC comics they can do whatever they want with him. I am sure that they will wipe his mind and have his memory come back slowly.

As of right now I have not seen any news or serious talks about it, HOWEVER due to the success with show like Black lightning and there being an obvious audience I think they are discussing a possibility of Milestone Media/Dakotaverse making it's way to the streaming service.

Probably not this season BUT there is a chance that Metamorpho will be in the show, he has a longer standing history with Black lightning than Halo

@@AlternativeFactuals he might end up breaking into the Pit to finish him off. He's not just gonna sit around and let Tobias just rot there. He still want to kill him
If /when that happens, he is going to end up releasing Tobias instead of killing him off because Tobias is going to get the better of him somehow. That probably wouldn't happen until the end of season 3.
@@AlternativeFactuals let's say Lala does end up killing Tobias in front of Black Lightning, Thunder, Lightning, Gambi, and Inspector Henderson at Tobias's lair, what would they say to him? Would Henderson arrest him if he's the only the only officer there?
Game Makers I feel like if it was only black lightning and his team of people that they wouldn’t turn him in immediately if anything he would probably make an escape and then we probably wouldn’t see Lala until he’s needed. But of course if Tobias dies then he would be making a return in a very unnatural way probably.
I know some fans want team black lightning to be in this year crossover crisis on infinite Earths
I understand why they would feel that way, but I think the show should stay separated. The tone of the show would not match that of the Flash and the other DC shows.
