2 years of version updates but extra years of security updates. The Lenovo 10e and other Duet family Chromebooks get much longer support however.
Because chromebooks (from 2020 onwards) will get 8 years of support (before 2020) 4 years

I'm writing this using the Galaxy tab s7.
Galaxy tab s7 is using the snapdragon 655+, while still rather old, but still can run through most anything.
Great sounding quad speakers with Dolby Atmos
Has Dex and an SD card slot
The non plus version is a better bang for buck
I’m stuck between choosing this, the p11 and xiaomi pad 6.
I only really want it for mainly watching UA-cam videos in the highest quality, and maybe some other streaming like Netflix etc.
What would your suggestion be? As I’ve seen some tablets only run certain things at 720p and I would prefer 1080p minimum.
Go with Xiaomi pad 6 it supports 4k playback. I own itvery good ui too
depends on the price then, bearing in mind pad6 is newer if I remember correctly
pad 6 would be the best but also it is the priciest of the bunch so that would depend on your budget willing to spend

while I love my Y700 lenovo might've dropped the ball with this one, to me Samsung's A9+ does seem like a better pick but then again more choices for the consumers is never a bad thing. hope more tablets come out for more consumers for more price points.

Depends if there's good trade in value in my opinion
Once every 3 years imo, because most tablets have atleast 3 years of software updates and after that they tend to slow down aswell and become more obsolete as time goes on. So around 3 year and 8 months is a good time frame to buy a new one.

@@Morecreativemind true, I still have my tablet from 2014. It's a decade old and it can still run youtube fine, the only issue i have is that it's only a little bit slow but not annoyingly slow and its size
@@Morefeatruexthe planned obsolescence time is quite short for an electronic device. Even 5 years from Apple is not enough for a tablet that most people only use at home for a small fraction of time when compared to a phone, a windows laptop has an advantage here, even though we’re talking about different kinds of devices.

@@Morecreativemindhe’s talking about the xiaomi pad 6, still in production, I think. The iPad 7 is currently the cheapest up-to-date apple tablet that runs the current version of iPadOS. Probably won’t receive the next update (iPadOS 18).
