Just bought my first Irish Bouzouki - waiting for it to be mailed… I think this will be my first song… I’ll stick to the 100 bpm though !!!
Missus is going to strangle me for buying yet another instrument (4 basses 6 ukuleles one guitar 😂)
More gooood stuff. Yes, I like how you present the lesson. Straight forward and clear. Thanks
Thank you so much for this tutorial, I’ve been working on the song for a long time and you filled in a lot of blanks!!
Thank-you! My intro is getting 'just about acceptable' so I might start on this now...
Right on! Keep it up!
Absolutely brilliant!!! Thank you so much for this AMAZING lesson, much appreciated!
Yuhuuu!! Another new lesson! Thanks!
Very nice. Any chance you can do Daori's rendition of Foggy Dew?
Très bel instrument et jolie leçon. Bravo 👍
Fantastic lesson Brent 👌🙏🙏
Great video, super informative and well structured. Would love to see the same for Daori’s rendition of Van Diemans Land
Same, would love to see a rendition of that song as well.
Hi Brent, thank you so much for this great tutorial. Would it be possible to share the GP file (I assume it is Guitar Pro) with us? It would be great to have a larger view on the tabs…
Thanks Brent. Im going home now to practice. ❤❤❤❤😂😂😂. Happy Christmas mate. 🇮🇪
😆😂 Cheers! Merry Christmas!
Thank you so much for this. I so thoroughly enjoyed learning this song. You are the ONLY artist on UA-cam that does excellent breakdowns for Bouzouki novices. I have learned so much through your videos. Do you think you could please, PLEASE do a tutorial on Daoiri Ferrel's Little Drummer Boy? I love that song and would love to learn it. Cheers !
Hey, thank you for the great feedback! I've had several requests for it, we're getting dangerously close to me doing it, haha
@@brentmatusikmusic do you have a pattern or Venmo that I could donate to?
@@maximiliancostello288 I appreciate that! At this moment, I do not, but it's something I'll be working towards setting up in the New Year
Is there any chance of getting the transcript of Creggan White hare
Class tutorial, Can’t find many good tutorials for Irish songs. How did you learn Bouzouki? Are you self-taught?
Thank you! Yes, I'm self taught at Bouzouki, but I did have a pretty good head start on stringed instruments, having played guitar for 16 years!
you put up the flag!
Can I download a copy of the tabs as displayed? Good to have a Bouzouki lesson - any more coming?
I currently don't have a platform to give away my transcriptions, but will look into getting that setup once I get my ducks in a row more with the development of this channel.
Yes, I do have some additional lessons in the works, and will likely continue doing them if there's continued interest!
I have you singing the dead south diamond ring which I also sing and play ,
What would be great would be hear you sing and play this Song 🎶 do it you are good enough Brent , your top fan Mike ……
@@MGWAIKIDOJITSU Nice! Love me some Dead South.
I've been working on it...I can sing it individually, but trying to mesh the Bouzouki and vocals together is still a work in progress. Daoiri is a beast...!
@@brentmatusikmusic keep up the good work 👌👌
Is that a Hora .?
Yes, a Hora Irish Concert Bouzouki
I have the same one but in the different wood it’s very loud so I fingerpick it at the moment with out a plectrum , but I’m looking I guess to fill the sound hole with a nice inlay like yours ,
Keep those tunes coming Bro , maybe Pat Rainey when you have some time if poss 👌
Alright man ive got a random request. There was a hobbit videogame from 2003 and the track Battle of Laketown has the single most badass bouzouki riff ive ever heard and i cannot find the chords to save my life. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to deploy your talents to break that sucker down
Definitely one of the most obscure requests I've ever gotten, didn't even know this was a game!
At a quick glance, you'd have to tune your Bouzouki down a half step, as I'm hearing a low F# on the lower sounding riffs that isn't accessible on standard bouzouki tuning. It is possible that this is for Mandocello, as those are typically tuned lower than a Bouzouki, but I can't 100% confirm that just by listening to it.
I have a backlog of stuff I'm currently working on, but I'll consider it
