Having a tracker run against a field of high schoolers and women not running under 11 is not a challenge, it's like putting a 6-year-old up against a 15-year-old, of course she's going to win, and she might win in the trials even at her age, because most of the Jamaican 100m runners are just barely breaking 11 seconds. She should at least have had one race with a quality field.
I believe that it's best you go out there on run your own race so you can satisfy yourself 😮

I think many of us long time Shelly fans need to be honest with the facts- knew heavily taped, opening in early June and running 11:15- there is legitimate concern but I would like to wait till trials to see if she improves her time and makes the team

But yeah man Shelly hasn't run for over 10 months, so it makes sense that she isn't very race sharp rn and needs to dust off the rust. This was clearly a race to dust off the rust, and the biggest takeaway for me is the great start she had! She wasn't able to start like that due to the injury last year. The Queen will be ready come trials!

That race was to put a check mark beside "season opener." It wasn't an elite field by a long stretch so there was nothing to push or even motivate her. Brick bats though to the organizers who thought it was a good idea to have a meet of scores of races with everyone they could find from high school kids to anyone willing to run. That put the SFP 100m close to midnight. Ridiculous. That was not a good look JAAA
