Thank you so much bro. Yes I hadn’t either and we didn't even know this rink did that, it was a surprise. So many amazing rinks right in my home country I never knew were here.
That rink is sick and so is your skating, Cliff! It would look insane paired with the custom RGB lighting I'm in the process of designing for my skates.
I use "Underwater RGB lights" - they come with a remote so you can change the color mid flight. however the remote is not super reliable and sometimes only works when you are very close to the light. There are different versions and sizes of these lights e.g. on ebay, some with battery and some with usb charging - the latter is evidently a lot more budget friendly in the longer run :) I have them for about 6 months now, works fine - but of course there are fancier setups imaginable - looking forward to your solution!
@@-E42- Although a cool idea, those lights are a bit on the heavy/bulky side for my taste, especially mounted onto my lightweight Vapor 1X skates. I'm using a 3mm wide addressable RGB LED strip with 2mm diodes from an automotive interior trim lighting kit paired with custom optics designed to fit the skates like a glove. It'll be li-po powered, react to sounds/music, and controlled via phone app and onboard buttons. The end result will look as if the skates came with this LED setup from factory.
@@contagiousingenuityagency5273 sounds fantastic, very cool! I have my lights fit into the holes of my t-blade holder, but it is still a little funky, agreed. It does look organic but also a little plastic-steampunkesque haha :)
Yes it was very unique, montreal is such an artistic city, there are many cool experiences there. This was definitely unexpected but we had so much fun with it 😁
cool vid! :) "esplanade pas trop tranquille enfin" 😅 ... I actually know how do an interactive experience like that - apart from the hardware installation --- getting these really bright+expensive projectors into the right place so they work reliably and are safe under these climate conditions has to be a specialist thingy :)
@@-E42- Yes lol, its called "Tranquille" when it should be "insane" 🤣🤣 such a crazy busy rink, I dont know if I have experienced something like that before. Those projectors are so cool but I could imagine the set up dealing with the weather as well very expensive. Such a cool idea, we need more rinks with this 😁
What an awesome ice rink with these effects and lights!! Never seen sth like this before! What an epic Canada tour, good job!! Love it!

This is rink was so unique
Such a cool experience, they need to make more rinks with this projection thing 😁
Looks like a normal Friday or Saturday night at our small rink. Lots of people

Yes this would be the rink for it. RBG lights and the interactive would look so good. Thank you and let me know what you design for the lights 😁👍
@@GlobalIce Will do! I'll probably post a video on my channel once I get the lighting setup installed. 😉

interactive ice skating --- sounds interesting. Montreal is kind of the city for interactive media :)
