  • What’s up guys! We’ve been hard at work since we arrived a couple weeks ago, getting ourselves acclimated and situated and all that but I finally had a little bit of time to answer the big question that’s been on everyone’s mind: “Why did you move to Galveston, Texas?”
God Bless you, hope you are well.

You'll love it here. I've been here my entire life, and work here as well at UTMB Hospital, coming up on my 18th year here. Can't imagine living outside of Tx.

I love the idea of your house church. I'm in agreement. You are so right, the time of playing church is OVER! I'm so excited for you, your family, and your calling. May God favor you!

The wife and I were considering moving to Galveston but after looking at the crime rates got a bit worried.
So few places these days close to large cities with low crime rates.

Lmao you won’t ever find a big city with low crime rates. Especially not in this shitty country. My best opinion is too but security cameras and a gun lol

@@iamnumber4ization Low is a relative term.
Yes all big cities have crime but you have to admit some have more than others.

    Do you think like Galveston?

Galveston is wonderful, however if you plan on building there are stringent building codes due to hurricanes. Also home insurance wind storm and flood are extremely high. Just food for thought.

Totally. We rent, much cheaper. And theres a lot of work on the Island when it comes to upkeep with vacation rentals and beach houses. Keeps me busy!

Have you surfed yet? What are the waves like? 🤙🏼

Yes, I've surfed a lot actually. Mushy a lot of the time but most days are rideable. Hurricane Swells are fantastic and resemble California. Winter was slow and gets blown to pieces by the cold fronts pushing heavy offshore winds... but it seems like Spring through Fall is fairly good in my experience so far.

I just found your page and I'm happy I did. I, too, and someone that God told to move to Texas, the Houston area specifically. I just got here a few days ago and sorting things out. I am so curious what the Lord is up to as He is moving us all here. Maybe mercy in this area. I look forward to the great reveal as we do His work!
